I spent a long, long time hunting for a roofer who understood the importance of ventilation for my roofing job. We were removing an older cedar shingle roof from our 100 yr old Main Line home and replacing it with asphalt shingles. This was going to require a ventilation solution. Kirk Davis stood out head and shoulders above all of the other half dozen or so roofers I interviewed by virtue of his appreciation of this fact. His team was amazing. They performed high quality work and exceeded my expectations at absolutely every turn. I can't thank them enough for the results. Not the cheapest, but by my reckoning the best value for money!

AHDavis & Son just completed a full removal of the old roofing on our home and then installed the new CertainTeed Integrity Roofing System. Project was quickly scheduled to begin two weeks after contract approval. Project took five days to complete. We had used AHDavis in 2007 for a complete replacement of our home siding, all windows to thermal pain style, five new additional windows, a deck large sliding glass door, a new front door storm door, and a raised deck major size expansion using all new polymer enhanced lumber for total refinishing.For both projects, first and most prominent reason we used them is their being in business 84 years and having truly passed down the business from father to son multiple times, with current son now being an integral part of the business to carry it on. They are not part of a larger conglomeate that tends to more coldly deal with their customers and also carrying much higher overhead costs. They strongly practice all of their business dealings to maintain their earned pride to truly respect and service their customers.They are very thorough in scoping out a project and listened to our every concern and desire for anything new. They use only top grade, and competitive, materials with very good warranties. Their crews are well experienced, act very professionally, work steadily, provide temporary protection for the many gardens and decorative items around our home, and thoroughly clean up the area when done each day.We know from already using them sixteen years ago for a project costing more than twice our roofing project, that they stand by their work and will always follow up with correction for any quality or performance issues.For both of our projects, their quoted cost was very competitive with five other quotes from equally reputable contractors.My wife and I are totally satisfied with AHDavis & Son's work for the multiple types of external repairs and refinishing that we contracted.We strongly recommend that they be very seriously considered for any types of these projects, large or small. You will not be disappointed.

Although I haven't used them for work (yet), the experience I had just calling them up and asking if they had any scrap shingles I could use for a small DIY repair was phenomenal. Not only did they graciously provide me with a color matched shingle or two, they were overtly friendly and provided some tips on installation. I'm glad I came across them on Google. Based on that interaction alone, I'd absolutely consider them for roofing work.

I called in because I had an issue with ventilation in my attic and was told I needed the soffit ventilation inspected. I called in to request service and was told I couldn't have that problem and my concern was dismissed. I do have another roofing company coming out for an inspection.

These guys are great! Kirk Davis, the owner, is down to earth and an honest person to work with. Prices for services seemed reasonable and there estimates are right on. I also needed additional work and his crew took care of everything. Only a nominal fee was added. Very pleased with the gutter work that was done. After discussing our roof and gutters with several qualified companies in the area, we selected A.H. Davis & Son. Not only did he understand the complications of the roof with several skylights and gutters, but he took the time to design a solution and explain it to me.The price was fair and comparable to equally rated companies.His team showed up every morning around the same time, protected the house and items next to the house, was careful to check the quality of the underlayment/boards, fixed the ones needed without going crazy, and then just did quality work to put the new roofing materials and gutters up.It is also worth noting that they we responsive to my calls/text before, during, and after the job was completed. We had needed a couple small things done related to the downspouts, and they didn't hesitate to ensure everything was done the way we wanted.End result - roof and gutters look great, and they all work.
