My wife purchased a house right at the heart of the Coronovirus pandemic in early summer 2020. We did a stucco inspection and found multiple places where the stucco was failing most likely due to improper window replacement. The water damage was so bad that the interior drywall was wet in multiple spots. We decided to replace the stucco with Hardie concrete siding, replace all gutters and add a front porch. we contacted at least 5 stucco repair companies. The bids were a pain in the butt, most contracts kept using the words "as needed" for items such as insulation, sheathing, flashing and caulking. In my long experience "as needed" means "you ain't getting it"! Reaction Exteriors had the most detailed contract. Based on the stucco inspection we knew that all sheathing and insulation had to be removed and replaced. Reaction Exteriors gave us the least push back, they quoted real plywood instead of garbage OSB (swells when wet) and low and behold after mutliple EXCEL spreadsheets they were the cheapest overall by a significant amount. we also added a front porch for which they gave us the most detail in the contract. The job was massive, getting the permits in the middle of the pandemic was tough (Mike actually went to the township and refused to leave until he got the permits approved)!. Marco, the onsite supervisor was great as well. They came out every day until the job was done. They removed all the stucco, all the existing sheathing which was destroyed by water, took out all the windows and re-flashed them and built a new front porch from scratch, including foundations. They fixed all interior nail pops and replaced some rotting wood on the foundation, no charge. Did they make some mistakes - sure, but they never pushed back when I pointed them out , they simply fixed everything no questions asked. It has been over 7 months since they completed the work and we have not had one issue (which is unheard off). The billing was not a pain and a couple change orders were reasonable. I have attached before and after pictures. Overall, I would say they were the best contractor that I ever dealt with and this is the 7th home that we have owned, not to mention I used to be a project engineer for a Utility dealing with contractors all day long.Services: Demolition, Remodeling

Hired Reaction Exteriors to put a new shingle and EPDM roof on a three story rental property. During the install they stepped through the ceiling knocking out a large section. Luckily my tenants didn't get hit by debris. I didn't find out about this until my tenants contacted me after the roof work was complete asking when the roofers would come back to fix the ceiling damage. This seemed like a surprise to management and while they agreed to replace the drywall, I had to argue with them to get them to paint it! During a home inspection in preparation for sale it was discovered that the EPDM was installed incorrectly. It took months for them to come replace this and further inconvenience. Just prior to sale, my tenants detected some water damage above the front door on the first floor. When I opened up this area I discovered that the water was actually coming from an improper work they did on the soffit and gutter. Water had been channeling into the attic and down the front wall of the house for over 4 months! This not only cost me the sale of the property, but has required me to do $15,000 of repair. I have called and sent emails for 2 weeks with no response. Disappointing that we need to take this to court.

We have used Reaction Exteriors for several major home improvements over the last 9 years. Most recently, we again partnered with Reaction for 4 major projects: a new roof, new gutters, total home caulk maintenance and a BEAUTIFUL new blue stone patio. Our history with Reaction made our selection of a contractor for these major jobs simple. Each project was well planned, clearly communicated and completed within the given timeframe.Steve’s crews worked from 7:30 am to sunset every day. They were professional, dependable and detail oriented . Every evening our property was cleaned up of any debris.Steve provided excellent project management with frequent check ins with us, as well as his team, to ensure everything was going as planned. Our project was removal of all stucco from exterior walls; remediation of significant damage to foundation timber, studs, insulation and sheathing; installation of new house wrap, windows, siding, soffit/fascia covering, gutters/downspouts and painting of interior window trim, exterior trim and remaining stucco on foundation and chimney. Scope also included installation of flagstone with stone risers on front porch and rear patio; and new custom color shutters.Reaction Exteriors’ leadership team did an excellent job during the proposal phase to win the job, and their project management was very efficient in coordinating crews with delivery of materials, and ensuring effective communication among their staff and with us. All of the crew members were skilled craftsmen who worked very hard and were meticulous in getting the details right. We also appreciated the diligence of all crews to ensure the worksite was clean at the end of each day. Overall, a job very well done, at the agreed upon cost, and completed in six weeks, faster than expected!

They were courteous and flexible with changes Ali g the way, and they worked full days. They cleaned up each day. They could have protected our garden a bit better, but all in all we are very satisfied.

These guys did a full stucco, window and door replacement on our entire house, a massively expensive job! They installed a screen door that simply will not close and never has. I’ve been calling and emailing the owner, Steve, for over a year to get a working screen door, the tiniest least expensive part of the project, and the guy will not respond. As soon as we gave in our 6-figure check, he was never to be heard from again.

Can’t say enough about this phenomenal company. From the beginning when Michael accessed our chimney damage, and then submitted a detailed understandable bid for stucco remediation all the way through to completion we knew our job was being handled expertly. The daily work force was punctual, polite and diligent to work all day. They were extremely careful to protect windows and siding from possible damage and at day’s end they were mindful to keep the worksite and our front yard picked up. Even when we unexpectedly added an additional job to a second chimney they extended their timeline and did a fabulous job for us. Their warranty on their work is twice as long as previous quotes we received and is also transferrable once. Nice perk. Both chimneys look amazing and we will definitely use Reaction Exteriors again in the Spring for some additional exterior work.

Reaction Exteriors,(RE), really helped me out of a jam. I went to my kitchen one morning during a heavy rain storm and noticed water dripping from the top of the window. I was able to trace the leak to my attic roof. RE came out within 2 hours and temporally repaired and stopped the leak while it was still raining heavily. Within a week period, it would of probably would have been sooner if not for the lousy weather, RE was able to remove and replace my old roof for a fair price.

I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. They made several promises to us that they would come out in 10 days and fix our stucco and windows. We NEVER heard back from them !! Had to call them with empty promises that they would come out soon yet just dropped us to the waste side. Kept calling the boss and the office with either no response or promising they would "be in touch or call us back" it's now been 6 months and they still haven't helped us saying oh we are just too busy. Nor acceptable how they treated us as customers. If I could give them a 0 star I absolutely would. !!!
