We had a complex project that included remodeling most of the interior of our house (Master bath & bedroom, 1/2 bath, kitchen, living room, office, dining room, laundry room, stairs, etc). This included moving some load bearing walls and re-routing many utilities.Everything was done to our specifications; the Spectrum design team and their vendors were excellent. Even though some issues (typical items in a project this large) were encountered during the project, they managed them well and delivered on time.I think Craig, Bart, and Vicky all give really sound, practical advice. They helped us reach our goals and make smart selections along the way.We've been enjoying the remodeled spaces for about 8 months. So far they have exceeded our expectations and service, after the project completion has been very good.

I first started working with Spectrum after finding them as a home builder, while my family and I prepared to move back to PA from TX. Originally, we were hoping to build a new home in the Lehigh Valley area and from all my research and discussions with Spectrum, they were a high-quality builder that cared about the details, even in spaces you might not see every day. Unfortunately, we were never able to complete a new home build at the time of our move due to several factors.Fast-forward a couple years after our move to PA, we decided we needed to have a major remodel to our current home for us to continue to stay. We needed to get better use out of the split-level home as it just didn’t fit our family’s long-term needs.We brought Spectrum in to quote the ~900 sq ft remodel along with a few other general contractors and smaller contractors. Brandon from Spectrum came over to measure our space and talk about what we wanted/needed from the remodel. From there, they presented us with a general design and layout to meet our goals and fit within our budget.We picked Spectrum because they offered the best layout and design that met our needs and offered us the best total value. We made changes to the original design as working with a split-level that never had a central HVAC system has challenges, but Spectrum brought their preferred contractors in to ensure we were able to get a detailed quotes into our contract and budget and help minimize any change orders.I won’t say everything was perfect, but I will say that when there was an issue, Spectrum was quick to make it right and they would work to be fair and reasonable with me. Ken, the owner, was quick to check in, even without issue to ensure I was satisfied.We are happy with our newly renovated space and pleased with the quality and workmanship of Spectrum and their subcontractors. If we do ever build a new house in the Lehigh Valley area, they will be on my list to consider for new build or any subsequent remodels.

Delivered a new home for my mother to retire in. Her friends have said "Oh it looks just like a magazine!" when she shows them pictures. She often says "I feel like I am in nice hotel. I am not used to something so nice!". I wanted to give my mother a new home. She had been living in the same house for 39 years. Separately we had a rundown mobile home on a foundation that was inherited from my grandfather. The house was no longer livable so I put out a message to several Lehigh Valley builders. Spectrum returned my call and arrived promptly to evaluate the project. They didn't hesitate to put together a plan to demo the old mobile home, expand the foundation, and build a new home and connect it to the existing garage. Their entire team responds to questions same or next day which was so impressive. They delivered the project exactly as mapped out in the timeline. We just moved into our custom built Spectrum home and could not be happier! It was a huge commitment and we were definitely hesitant at first. We had met with other builders but found that Spectrum was different in that we could completely design our dream home. Craig was wonderful from day one and helped us to draw out our perfect floor plan while staying in a budget we were comfortable with. Craig was always available throughout the process to answer any questions or for impromptu meetings. Also enjoyed working with Sharon - communication was always prompt and clear, and she was so helpful as we went along the process in making our selections. We appreciated that the vendors that Spectrum uses (kitchen cabinetry, flooring, tile, lighting, plumbing) are all local companies and hold the same high quality ideals as Spectrum. Bart is the construction manager and was always professional and efficient. We also utilized the Spectrum First program to sell our home which made coordinating closing dates seamless. We closed on our new construction home, built by Spectrum Homes, about 2 months ago, and we would highly recommend Spectrum to anyone considering building a new home or doing a remodel. Spectrum delivered on everything they said they would and then some. Building a new home during a pandemic had the potential to be a nightmare due to potential delays and shutdowns, but our experience was excellent regardless. Everyone we worked with -- Craig, Sharon, Bart, Ken was professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and all around wonderful to work with. The vendors and contractors that work with Spectrum were all equally great and upheld the same values as Spectrum. Throughout the entire build process, we knew exactly what was happening with our home and when, and had a pulse on the anticipated completion date, which allowed us to plan ahead for selling our home, ordering furniture, etc. Even post-closing, they have been fantastic to work with as they complete the items on our punch list, most of which have already been completed or are in the process of being completed. They don't just forget about you because you've closed on your home; they stay in-touch to ensure everything gets completed to your satisfaction. I must start by saying that Spectrum Homes is amazing and I would recommend them to anyone considering doing a home renovation project! I am certain that I will not do them justice in my review however I’m going to try my best!The project began with Brandon stopping at my home to discuss my needs, followed up by a visit with Ken (Spectrum Homes Owner) and Bart (my Construction Manager), they were helpful, patient and informative – I’ve never done this before!Once I made my decision to work with the Spectrum Team and I signed the contract I picked out my kitchen cabinets from Morris Black (Christine was fantastic), countertops for the kitchen and bathroom from Eastern Surfaces, plumbing fixtures from Weinstein plumbing and tile from HWinter. They were all patient and helpful!Actual project began in early 2022 and involved removing walls in my living room, dining room and kitchen to make it an open concept and a complete gut and remodel of my tiny master bathroom - each day the team cleaned up, covered up hardwood floors that were to remain to protect them and worked to minimize the dust as I was living in the home during my remodel.Bart was my Construction Manager and I cannot say enough about him! He was so easy to work with, patient and quick to respond to any questions or concerns that I had! My husband and I have been working with Craig Snyder for the past 3 years and Spectrum Homes for renovations for the past 4 months. Craig Snyder was there for us to find an apartment when we first moved to the area and again, 2 years later, to help us buy our home. He is knowledgeable, personable, and truly cares about his clients. He always went the extra mile. He gave us excellent guidance and is incredibly generous with his time. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Craig again or give him anything but the highest recommendation.We also have all positive things to say about the process and the results of the Spectrum Homes projects. They renovated our kitchen, master bathroom, powder room and updated our fireplace. Everything looks amazing.The entire team at Spectrum is great. The customer service representative who helped with the coordination of projects is kind and helpful. She always called back in a timely manner and reassured me when I had questions. The construction manager is excellent and knowledgeable. He met me on site when needed and was always willing to answer questions/address any concerns that I had. Every additional member of the team that we met (and there were quite a few), were timely, professional and pleasant to be around.One of the best parts of Spectrum Homes is that they are able to coordinate with different contractors and vendors, eliminating a major stressor when it comes to renovations.If you are thinking about using Spectrum Homes for home renovations, do not hesitate.

A month ago, we took delivery of our new custom home from Spectrum and we were pleasantly surprised with the process of designing and building the home, as well as the quality of the home. This is the 4th new construction house we’ve moved into, but the first that was custom built.Finding the right plans was the first task. The sheer number of plans on the internet made that a daunting endeavor. Spectrum worked with us to discuss the pros and cons of various plans that we found and some designs that they had. Once we found the closest match, we went through a number of iterations of the plans to meet our needs while trying to keep it aligned with our budget. Spectrum brought a number of excellent design and functional ideas to the table and were extremely patient as my wife and I discussed the pros and cons of each. They were also open to applying some construction practices that, while common in New England, are not common in PA.Along the way we also started looking for people who’d worked with Spectrum in the past. After all, we were about to hand over to them a significant chunk of money. All the feedback we received was positive. Sure, people had a few issues with their houses… no home is perfect, as we’ve learned from past experiences. But the overall experience was positive from the people we spoke with and issues that did arise for them were addressed.Once we signed the construction agreement with Spectrum, we were shortly thereafter given access to a website with the end-to-end schedule for construction of our house. This was kept updated as weather and scheduling changes occurred so we always knew what was happening. Thanks to a mild winter the schedule only slipped a couple days until the COVID-19 shutdown disrupted everything. Spectrum continued to communicate with us during the shutdown and restart so we were never left wondering as to what their plans were. I especially appreciated that I was able to provide feedback to the construction manager throughout construction. He was extremely helpful and responsive to us which was a pleasant surprise, given the number of projects he had going. This allowed us to fix some issues before they became major headaches, for example the position of the shower wall in our master bath. It looked good on the plans, but once framed out it became clear that changing it slightly would suit us better. That’s an easy fix at the framing stage, but a major headache later.Now that we are in the house a month, we keep remarking at how well it all came together. There are a few punch list items remaining to be addressed, as you would normally expect. The house simply feels solid and quiet. A lot of care went into the house from beginning to end by all the tradesmen and women who worked on the house. We are looking forward to living out our retirement years in this house.

We can't say enough about Spectrum Homes, absolutely wonderful; from the first day Craig Snyder came to our house to the last day the men were finished with the renovations. The quality of work is outstanding and highly recommend this company. The workers were so professional and most of all on time every single day and neat as a pin, this is something that we had problems with when we had other work done in our home. At the end of every day, we new our project was going to be exactly what we wanted.If anyone out there needs renovations, make Spectrum Homes number 1 on your list so glad we did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything you would expect from a builder – quality materials, attention to detail, including items that many other builders charge extra for, frequent communications, and excellent interaction. Throughout the entire building process, it was evident that Spectrum was highly motivated to ensure our requirements were met. The folks at Spectrum are always available and we never had to chase any answers or repeatedly ask for information. From the custom design through house presentation I was proud to have them as my builder. After researching and meeting with several local builders, we decided to go with Spectrum homes to build our house. We moved into our house in November of 2014 and absolutely love the it!Our lot is relatively unique with a long, up-hill driveway which made the lot improvements and permit process more involved. Despite buying the lot prior to engaging with Spectrum, they helped us navigate thru the permit process and provided one point of contact thru the entire construction process.We were quoted a move-in date when we broke ground and that move-in date never changed! Spectrum project managed the entire process, coordinating with various contractors and vendors, to ensure the delivery of the completed house.I frequently recommend Spectrum to anyone interested in building a house! Building a house is a daunting task, but Spectrum made it super easy.

INITIAL MEETING, CONCEPT DESIGN, & HOUSE FRAMING(As of 10/18 - currently in the construction phase)Upon our initial meeting with Craig Snyder, we were instantly able to sense his passion for his work -- versus it being his job. He was very thoughtful in his presentation of their homes in progress and very open to creating open dialogue in our initial meeting. At no point from our initial meeting up to present day was there any pressure put on us to make any decisions. Craig availed himself to ensure that all of our questions were satisfied prior to moving on to any next step in the process.Once we decided to build with Spectrum, we were impressed with the great level of detail and organization that they exuded in the process. Our design was based off of a spec model with a fair degree of customization to meet our family's needs. And Craig's experiences, along with Ken's as well, we were able to 'fine tune' our design and move the process forward. While the process to get our design to our desired point may have taken one or two more meetings than anticipated, Ken and Craig were always focused on seeking to understand our end-state goal and provided their expertise (through options) on how best to achieve those goals. Again, there was NEVER any pressure to make a decision for the purpose of getting us to 'sign on the dotted line'.Throughout the paperwork (contract) process, the Snyder's (both Craig and Ken) were active participants in ensuring that all parties questions and concerns were satisfied. They were fair and open-minded - geared towards providing solutions for us as the client. Both are willing to engage directly with clients and do so in a very amicable way. Similarly, as the selection process began for finishings, Sharon Miller was phenomenal in her organization. Undoubtedly, the relationship that she - and Spectrum - maintains with the vendors is what allows them to have similar rapport with clients.Now that construction has began on our home, it is again very obvious how the folks at Spectrum take pride in their relationships with their vendors. All things being equal for a construction site, our job site is very clean and organized. The work ethic of the professionals is unparalleled as they work extremely hard (from sun up to sun down). Clearly there is a mutual respect between Spectrum and its vendors that creates a work environment of effort and reward for quality workmanship.Personally, one of my biggest concerns in any business relationships is the maintenance of effective communication between the parties. If there is one thing that you can count on with the Spectrum team is that they will maintain open lines of communication with you -- all the way up through Ken himself. Whether it be via email, text message, phone call, or face to face meeting, the Snyder's and their Spectrum team are very active in their projects. Furthermore, they are not absent from the job sites and seem to always be aware of the present stage of your project.Additional reviews will be forthcoming throughout the process of our home build. However, up to this point, we are satisfied with the experience.

My Wife and i purchased a Spectrum home in April 2006. We are quite disappointed with the quality and workmanship. We paid $510,000. Here is a list of items we have had issues with.1) The floors in the laundry room flex, and the tile is cracked.2) The cabinets in the kitchen are low quality3) The stove broke and we had to replace4) The Microwave broke needed to be replaced5) The Well pump needed to be replaced6) The sump pump has been replaced 3 times. The Basement was completely flooded on one occasion7) The spring on the garage door broke and needed replacement8) The pipe in the shower drain rubs against the floor joist and it make a loud squeaking noise which you can hear in kitchen. They did come out and fix this after several faxes and finally a threatening letter.We have since been in other builders home in the same price range and realize that are home is inferior quality.

She said she would leave a message for a Project Manager to call me back. No call back which is very unprofessional. I guess they have enough business. Moved on to another local custom builder and they returned all of my calls.
