John and his son Matt are most professional, courteous and excellent in their craft. They were most patient listening to my concerns and easily executed the plans. The coordination of the subcontractors was super as they were also very competent in their respective crafts. The job was done earlier than expected as this was our only bathroom and worked tirelessly to complete it quickly for my wife and me. I would highly recommend John and Matt for any work you need done

We have hired John and his great crew for multiple projects at our home. They did a beautiful job replacing our vinyl siding several years ago. Still looks amazing. They also constructed a beautiful large three Season room off our kitchen onto an already existing deck. We love that room in warmer weather months. All custom windows with built in screens, floor to ceiling. We eat dinner there every night, watch television, read, relax and enjoy nature. John gave us exactly what we asked for. He was easy to work with, professional, and trustworthy. We hired him for a complete renovation of an old upstairs bathroom. He helped with the plans to turn the outdated small bathroom to an updated, larger walk in shower with a seat. We lastly had several windows replaced. It took a while to come in, but once they did they installed them in a timely manner. We had a minor issue with one, many months later and John himself arrived promptly. Took care of the small issue and also spent time again on the operation of these windows which differed from our previous ones. We appreciate his patience with us. Customer Service is very important to us, now more than ever. Ocean State Home Improvements has it all and I would not hesitate to recommend.

John and his son, Matt, recently (last week!) remodeled our laundry/bathroom. I cannot thank them enough for their superb workmanship! I had many questions along the way, and John answered them promptly and provided very helpful suggestions and advice. The painting and plumbing services provided by the sub-contractors were of high quality as well. Our new laundry/bathroom looks beautiful!We also had our kitchen ceiling painted... another project completed to our satisfaction!I would also like to add that in Spring 2023, John, Matt and his crew completely rebuilt our deck, which had been very poorly constructed by a different company. Not only does the deck now look wonderful, but it is also safe and sturdy, having been built to code.At the same time our laundry/bathroom project was in progress, we had trouble with the faucet in our main bathroom. Although this was a totally unrelated issue, John and Matt took time from their busy schedule to help us remediate this problem, and the faucet now works beautifully!Professionalism, attention to detail, excellent communication,high quality workmanship, pride in their craft and sincere desire to help: these are the reasons why we very highly recommend Ocean State Home Improvement! Always an excellent experience working with John, his son Matt and his other crew members. Over many years OSHI has done vinyl siding on 2 of my houses, a roof, gutters, garage construction and many other smaller jobs. Calls and emails are answered quickly and courteously. Workers show up on time, do professional work and clean up the entire area when the job is complete. I would recommend their service to anyone.

John handled our roof replacement, new gutters, and installed 4 exterior doors through the city of Cranston rehab program. His bid was the most reasonable and his work is top notch! He and his son were very professional, took great care with each detail, and they were so kind to thoroughly clean up after every project. Replaced windows, doors siding and deck. After two years of trying to get them to come back and fix defects The owner John ended up hanging on me because I was frustrated and aggravated. When I say defects I am being very very generous. Crooked cuts unstraight angles split board's nails protruding the list goes on and on and that is just the deck. The siding has issues as well. He has every excuse there is. Good luck getting this guy to stand up for his work. The owner is a lying coward.

We hired John and his crew to renovate our kitchen, after first hiring him to replace our windows, in which they did an excellent job. The kitchen came out fantastic, and we couldn't be more pleased. Throughout the process, John was extremely responsive, rectified any glitches immediately, a real pleasure to work with, and was a perfectionist in making sure the work was done right. I'm not usually a review writer, but would highly recommend OSHI! From the beginning, the owner John was responsive, and continued to be so throughout the project (replacing our 30 year old vinyl siding). Answered questions and concerns quickly, and kept me informed of any issues as they came up. Price was competitive to other estimates we received. He thought the project would take about 2 weeks, and actually finished about 3 days early. His crew (thanks, Jose!) was professional and very hardworking, working 10-12 days in some less than ideal weather. The final results look great!
