Shawn Boyd (S&B Roofing) skipped out on our job. He promised told us he would have our in-law studio completed in April 2023. Well, here we are and June and we are looking for a contractor to finish what Shawn didn't. DON’T HIRE HIM and DON’T PAY HIM otherwise you'll be left with a partially completed job. He also did work in our kitchen the work was below average at best as there are several flaws such an Island with a very poor trim job unfinished hardwood floor and a over the sink light that is totally misaligned. The list goes on. His communication with his subs is very poor and he/they show up basically when they feel like it work for an hour or two than leave. He also damaged my yard as a result of his sub's work and did nothing to resolve the problem. In short, he was nothing but a headache and has served to set us back 6 months. At this point I am considering litigation. My husband and I bought a 1965 home in Wakefield, RI that was stuck right in 1965!! We hired SBC to knock down two walls, complete kitchen remodel and paint the entire house! The price was reasonable for the amount of work we required and it turned out beautifully! Shawn was easy to work with, had some terrific design ideas and really helped us create a beautiful home. We could not be more pleased. We were very impressed with the fact at the end of the days, Shawn cleaned up after himself and left the home very neat at the end of the day. Shawn repaired my home after two trees fell on it due to a snow storm, also built us a beautiful custom deck, Shawn Definitely goes over and beyond for his customers and takes pride in his workmanship. And definitely takes time out of his day to listen to his customers. that I know firsthand. Definitely would recommend him for your roof or construction.

We worked with Shawn to fix our shed and deck which had damage from the tropical storm. He took off the old shed roof, installed a new one, repaired and stained the deck and got everything back to looking brand new.
