We used G&S construction for a bathroom renovation in March 2020 (pre covid so they can’t use that as an excuse). We paid over $13K for a small bathroom renovation that was estimated at $10K. We chose G&S because they had great reviews. I hope that my experience is the one off situation.Present day 3/2023: Over the past 6 months we have noticed some tiles coming loose and places where the grout has split from the wall allowing moisture to get behind the tiles. Reluctantly, I have been trying to get in touch with someone from Giovanni & Sons for almost 2 months now. In the first 2 weeks that I tried to get in contact with G&S I was told that everyone was sick. After that I was told that they were not available because of February break and that someone would reach out to me first thing the week after. I have since left messages but still have not had any response so I am left to write a review (which is not the type of person I am.) Below is my experience with this company from the start.-Initial grout job on the wall tile had holes all throughout ranging from centimeters to inches. They corrected this issue after we pointed it out but the initial grout job had already dried so they we filling holes rather than making one continuous seal around the tiles.-Poor communication from their sales representative and their workers in our house. Delays because product was not ordered or ordered incorrectly.-Our tiled walls are not flush all the way around so the grout is 3x the thickness between some tiles than it is between others.-Once the job was complete the owner then came to our house to let us know that they had in fact given us a “Custom” Shower floor and that was going to increase our cost by another $2500. This was never mentioned before this point nor was it put into our estimate, which they had already gone over.-We refused to pay for the custom flooring and reached a price agreement for the work. We were not thrilled with the work or feel we got what we paid for but we wanted to move on at that point.-They left cigarette butts and garbage on our property daily and clogged our basement sink drain with grout and pieces of tile (we fixed on our own after the job was complete.)We did not have a great experience with the initial renovation, but we paid and were satisfied knowing well enough to not use this company again. But now that the work is showing signs of failure we thought that G&S would want a chance to recover. I have emailed and called them and they know how to get in touch with me. I am still waiting.

We had an ancient (1950!) bathroom renovated. The space was tiny and creative thinking allowed for expansion and major changes. The work was explained in detail in advance and no false promises made as to how long the process would take.The work crews present were consistently extremely good natured, left the house cleaner every day than when they arrived and were always willing to explain things. Project necessarily involved having to open up a downstairs ceiling, and the fix after the fact was just great. Not a seam or line showing anywhere.Finally, project manager, Alicia, was very easy to work with and responded very quickly to any inquiry. These folks were extremely easy to work with!

This company has done two jobs for me. A huge siding job with asbestos removal included and a drain problem/ leaky basement.Both times I have been satisfied with their work. The workers are competent and polite. The guy who quoted me the work prices and helped w the initial job start was Clint. He’s a really pleasant and knowledgeable guy, eager to please and affable.Most all pros with these jobs. I will say in the side of the cons, they were SLIGHTLY more expensive than average bids. 1000$ on the siding job and 300$ on the basement job but I do feel I got my money’s worth.Post job site clean up could have been been better. I expect some waste afterwards but there were more nails and bits of plastic left and it surprised me a bit. Some dirt was left behind after the drain job but a call to Clint fixed that right away.All in all very solid company to deal with in my experience. Will use again.
