I’m not sure if we received horrible service because it was an insurance claim and we have a lot of stuff or because WE’RE BLACK. I have never had anyone be so rude to me when the work is being done on MY HOUSE that MY INSURANCE company is paying for. Kat and the general manager Robert were not friendly, gave horrible customer service and canceled the project after taking weeks to finally get started. I’m glad that I had my insurance agent on the phone during my conversation with the packers since Kat decided to tell the general manager a different story. Kat is a bully and wants things to go the way she says and you’re not supposed to speak out against her. If this is the type of customer service that is going to be upheld by this company, I’m glad to no longer be doing business with First Class. Apparently being black, pregnant and having an opinion about YOUR OWN HOUSE, is unacceptable. 10/10 would NOT RECOMMEND even if they were doing it for free. The pics are how they left my house. Terrible service by Kat and I was spoken to horribly by her and Robert!

I could not be happier with this company. We have had our house repaired two times By 1st Class Construction. Kat Butler is an absolutely amazing overseer. She is very personable. She comes into your home assesses the damage, Let you know upfront what the repair process is going to be looking like and along the way she makes sure that you are completely satisfied with the job as it is progressing and also when it Has been completed. The team of people that she employees to work various parts of the job such as painters, carpet, flooring, people. Nice very knowledgeable and very respectable. They definitely make sure that you are satisfied with the work. In addition to the hands on work The people in the office are absolutely wonderful. They are pleasant to speak with, and very understanding. Gail and Erin are absolutely amazing. 1st Class Construction will always be my number one go to if we ever have any other needs.

1st Class Construction has been our go to company for several personal and commercial projects. They were professional, efficient, timely and reasonable. They even added an addition to our home that surpassed my expectations. It is seamless and architecturally amazing. I would recommend Robert and his team to anyone that wants a quality job done.

Working with 1st class construction was an absolute pleasure. We had a leak in our house that ruined multiple walls and the entire first level flooring. Due to errors made by the first contractor we had hired, we were without our first floor for 3 months. 1st class construction came in and got everything completed within 2 weeks. My wife and I cannot thank them enough and it was all made possible on the back of their amazing project manager Kat. Kat’s communication and customer service was above and beyond any customer service from any company in any field that I have ever experienced. Will definitely be recommending and using 1st class construction whenever the need arises in the future.

Jeff, you and I did indeed have two conversations, but they both came 4 months after my post. The fact that you were under the impression and even asked me to take my initial review down, is quite baffling. Offering apologies doesn’t change the fact that the damage is already done. While I understand listening to your employee, Robert should’ve taken the initiative to have a conversation with me to at least let us know that 1st class wouldn’t be proceeding with the project. As I told you, Kat completely stopped taking my calls and my insurance companies calls. She and Robert should’ve taken into consideration that their lack of customer service is a reflection of you and your company. Unfortunately, neither of them did, so here we are. I will always feel that Kat and Robert both are insolent. May 31st will be a year, mainly in part to their despicable treatment and their decision to end a project. Kat’s inability to effectively communicate after being told no is puerile. And seeing how I am the only person of color that’s left a review, I can’t help but wonder if my being black was the issue, as I stated in my previous review. I do hope if you have other projects for people of color, that they’re treated better. However, with them as your employees, I won’t recommend anyone to use your company. But I do wish you and your company well in the future.

We were impressed from day one with 1st Class Construction. The name of the company reflects their work from beginning to end. Kat was with us all the way. She was precise, thorough, patient, kind and went out of her way to explain each detail and to follow up on the work to the END. Always with a smile and willingness. We are an older couple, and we COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR MORE. PERFECTION !

Kat was very ugly to my mother n law! They were called to fix the damages in our kitchen and wash room! We had to get Matt to redo so much cuts all in the floors, it was so lumpy it looked like the ocean! Gaps all in the floors it looked terrible!! But every time he came out to redo it he didn't do it right!! I do not recommend this company to anyone!! Not to even build a dog house! We went with Joel's flooring and we couldn't ask for a more beautiful floor.

1st Class is definitely 1st in class! Great communication from the estimator, to the office personnel, to the construction team. Everyone I dealt with was very professional and courteous. Kat answered any questions or concerns I had and went above and beyond! The honesty and integrity is great! I had overpaid from the estimate and they sent me the overpayment check back to me! Highly recommend them! Thank you!

We have a 3 level townhouse that had a water leak originating on the top floor and impacting all floors. Our main complaint is with the painter they subcontracted with. Some of the painting wasn’t done before they left, there is overspray in several areas, the painters also did drywall repairs and there’s a lot of drywall mud on the floor in the garage that wasn’t cleaned up, and they actually spray painted their truck in the parking lot which resulted in overspray on our ac unit and our neighbor’s deck.On top of this, it took almost a year to complete the project. The person they subcontracted a lot of the work to did a great job. There were a few punch list items that we discussed with the project manager that we never heard anything about.Service: Water damage-related cleanup & repair

I needed 1st Class’ services 3 times in 2023. A water pipe burst in the January freeze of ’23. Robert and his team responded quickly to assess the damage and mitigate its progression. Robert, Kat and their team worked with my insurance company to assess the damage and come up with a repair plan. Soon afterward we had a fair repair quote and the repair was completed.Soon afterward we purchased a home that required the replacement of windows, doors and foundation sills that had rotted due to incorrect installation and neglect. Robert handled all the details, securing quality replacement windows, and doors, locating a subcontractor who could complete the difficult work, especially the foundation sill repair. We have been very happy with the results.At the same time, we decided to initiate a significant remodel of the master bathroom of our new home and paint most of the interior which required coordinating with multiple sub-contractors. We worked closely with Kat Butler on this project. She looked after us and the project with the utmost professionalism. She was also very responsive any time we reached out to her.In each instance, the work was completed in a timely and professional manner and in accordance with the written proposals. No surprises! Robert and Kat also worked with us as we requested some adjustments and upgrades to each of the original proposals. Robert, Kat and their team went out of their way to make sure that the work was completed with excellence. All of 1st Class’ repair personnel were courteous, showed up when they said they were scheduled, cleaned up after themselves and completed the repair work with excellence.I would not hesitate to reach out to them again.
