I was desperate to find a contractor who would finish a project left-off by someone else. A signed a quote with few details left me vulnerable to the owner who took everything he could from the estimate and left the job unfinished. He did not oversee the work performed by his subcontractors which lead delays and mistakes. He bragged about his experience and skill, complained that he didn't make any money, and explained away problems by saying that this was the norm for South Carolina. This isn't my first renovation, but it will be my last with Hayes Construction, LLC
