On March 31, 2023 I signed a contract with Heath of Anthony John Contraction for the remodeling of two small bathrooms, which included the removal of one shower and one bathtub, Both bathroom where to be totally gutted and rebuilt. And two new low access shower installed. The project was to be totally completed within two months. After many phone calls they finally came and started the job on June the 10th, more than two months after signing the contract. in the middle of August 2023 I contacted Heath and ended the contract. After five months they had not finish either bathroom. In five months the only thing that was finished was the gutting of the bathrooms, and hauling the material off. They started rebuilding the floors, but didn't complete them. They started installing drywall and mud, but did complete it. They started the plumbing, but never completed it. They started the electrical rewiring, but never completed it. The two main Anthony John employees normally work from 9:30 AM until around 4:30 PM and took an hour off for lunch, whenever they showed up, which wasn't that often. The project manager "Heath" came to my house three times in five months, and really didn't check much of anything. Even when the project was past due before they even started on it, know one seem to care. I contacted their administrative staff numerous time giving them the details and locations of the showers and other thing I wanted them to order for the bathroom, and they always had excuses why they couldn't get them and just kept stringing out the time.After ending the contract I decided to finish the project on my own. I have had some experience in the passed with remodeling, but I'm 77 years old and don't get around like I use too. I ordered everything I need to complete the project within a month, and they couldn't do it in five months. I had to remove a lot of the work they did because it wasn't done correctly and it would have caused problems later on.

AJ Construction was there for me and my family when a tree fell on my house in May 2023. They did everything from extracting the tree (on site within an hour of the tree falling) to re-building my house. These guys did it all! Top quality work and good communicators. I also had to delete my positive review for Anthony John Construction as I couldn't in good Conscience keep it up after 10 months of my deck being built wound having to get someone else to redo it after about a month the boards started splitting and Boeing out they kept sending people out to do a worse job then previous, it got to the point they wouldn't even return my calls, you can follow my issue even more on Facebook in Happenings in Lexington SC, which is my Facebook group here's the 2 pictures from when it was first done and 10 months later how it looks after they supposedly strained it.

I called Anthony John to install an HVAC system and they did a truly outstanding job. I was worried being that my mom is 92 years old and needed immediate installation. They were prompt, professional and accommodating to our every need. Someone from their office even called after to make sure the system was working properly and that my mom was happy. And since the first day I called and talked with Mrs. Karen I knew I was in good hands. I shared my situation with her and explained that I had to pay out of pocket, and she worked with me every step of the way. The site manager is a total salesman. The construction manager was very rude. We asked for a meeting with the owner 3 times but was never seen by him. Our project would go weeks without anyone showing up. Now our house was a complete remodel. The electricians didn't know what they were doing. The roofers didn't do a good job and others had to fix their mistakes. The painters didn't do all they were supposed to do. The well contractor wasnt paid all they were supposed to be so now we dont have a warranty on our 15,000 dollar well. We finally just gave up and signed off on the job. We will never recommend thus company for anyone to use.

Anthony John Construction is top notch from the office staff to the estimating process and the technicians that complete the work!! Dealing with them is a real pleasure and their timeliness and quality of work is fantastic. I was in the process of selling my house and had some vinyl siding that needed to be removed and reattached and they were able to get me scheduled and completed by the date I needed to be able to complete the closing.I cannot recommend them enough and will always use them for any of my home repair needs.

I had to delete my previous positive review as i could not in good concious keep it posted. My experience with anthony john while positive at first has since changed a year after they were hired. I paid roughly $16k to have a small bathroom remodeled and water damage repaired. The initial work looked great, but after a couple months everything started cracking or leaking or was found to be installed incorrectly. They attempted to fix a few of the issues but it’s apparent the initial work was sloppy. During the renovation they normally showed up at 8 or 9. Took a 1 hour lunch then left at 3 or 4 so youll get maybe 5 hours of work from them a day, i was informed the guy that did my renovation was let go as he had other complaints of unsatisfactory work, yet here i am re sealing my shower for the 3rd time, re-gluing their plumbing job and looking to repaint already cause their paint job is already cracking and peeling. Yea ive sent emails, text, phone calls, they ended up ghosting me. Im just counting it as a loss and a lesson. I had unfortunately recommended them to a friend/coworker who had a similar experience when they remodeled his kitchen. Dont let the low estimate fool you. You get what you pay for. Next time ill pay a little more and hire a legit contractor.

A.J. and Summer were fantastic to work with. They showed up when they said they were going to be there, they did good work, and were very easy-going when we requested changes. They were affordable and dependable. Our previous contractor left us high and dry with a nightmare. A.J. and Summer were a breath of fresh air and helped turn our "pit" into a second-story addition.
