People call Paul is one of the best inspector in both SC and NC. Yes,he is one of the best.I found him thorough and meticulous home inspector and he found few major issues during recent inspection . He suggested me that if I buy a home with those defects and it will create a problem during selling time.Thank you for your valuable report and it helped me to negotiate with seller to get repaired before due diligence. If I had not got feedback from Paul,I would have purchased home with defects and that would have caused problems.Thank you Paul for the great work.

Paul was extremely detailed in his inspection and didn’t just call out the problem, but shared pictures and documentation within the inspection to show how code says it should be done. He listens to the specific areas of concerns we had prior to his inspection and was able to validate those concerns by specifying how those issues were not up to code.

We were on a strict timeline and Inspector Paul was very receptive on scheduling, completing and returning the inspection report in a favorable timeframe. My wife and I actually met with inspector Paul at the end of his inspection at our new home where Inspector Paul reviewed the high points or critical items explaining each item reflecting on state and local codes.REPORT- Inspector Paul provided great descriptive details along with pictures and recommended corrective actions from his reference literature. This was our second time using Inspector Paul. He was very professional and honest with his findings. We recently put an offer on a home and quickly backed out due to the many problems we learned about. During the inspection, the home owners never left the property. Instead, they stayed talking with the home inspector while he was walking the property. I guess it is a blessing because the seller ended up telling Paul a lot of information that we were not aware of: an addition, a garage conversion, and a broken AC unit. The garage conversion was probably not up to code because there's a window leading out to the garage from inside of the house , which is a fire hazard. This lead me to think there may be other things not up to code since these additions were made quite a while ago. During the conversation with the seller, the inspector was told that the AC upstairs did NOT work. This irritated us because our agent asked the seller's agent about the AC upstairs during our tour because it was hot upstairs. The agent said that it DID work and just had freon put in it. Between these new findings and the flea infestation this home had, we decided to back out.Inspector Paul, thank you so much for your time and we look forward to using you for the inspection of our next home!

Totally unprofessional. We, the sellers, were on site when he arrived. Rude and nasty. I know he works for the buyer and not the seller but he would not give me honest feedback. He told the seller that a carport enclosure had not been permitted. The work was done in 1995 by a reputable builder who would have pulled a permit but regardless, the county only keeps permit records for 6 years , the State's required retention period so there would've been no record...permitted or not, so he basically lied to the buyer when he told them that this was not permitted....no way of knowing this. When I called him and confronted him with this he said he only did a partial inspection and never even sent the buyer a written report...so how did they have so much detail. He claims that he did not make this statement. I don't know if Paul, the potential buyer or the buyers Realtor were lying, but their stories do not match up. I was even told that Paul was attacked by fleas, even though the buyers exterminator had just been there that morning AND my wife, sister, son and I were working all around the house while Paul was there. Neither of us sustained any flea bites and Paul did not complain to us while he was there.Maybe he does a good job for the buyer but sellers beware....I do not trust the information he gave to my potential buyer...which caused me the loss of the sale of my property.

Paul is honest and at the same time he knows he is working for the buyer. Even after all these years he is still kind and never condescending. My wife asked him a question and he very carefully and kindly explained a simple concept about condensation to her. Paul is worth the money if he is more than the other guys. Purchasing a new home is stressful. Building a home is stressful. Paul came recommended to me by a realtor. I asked for the most thorough inspector that he knew. I could not be more pleased with all the information Paul provided us. He completed our pre-drywall, our final inspection and our radon test. He is professional, detail oriented and prompt. The reports he provides following all inspections were overwhelming with information. In an inspection report more information is better. He even provided links to websites where we could find cooberated information to his report. Above and beyond he even highlighted specific areas.If you need a good inspector don't hire Paul. If you need a GREAT inspector he is your man.Good luck with your home!

I called Inspector Paul last minute (two days before we needed a pre-drywall inspection done) and he was able to accommodate us under such short notice. Paul was very friendly over the phone and responded quickly to subsequent e-mails and texts that we sent. We could tell he was extremely knowledgeable and experienced during the inspection and the final report was incredibly detailed with numerous photographs and videos. He even took the time to walk me through the house afterwards and pointed out all the areas of concern and structural issues he noticed. He took as much time as he needed to explain his findings and was very easy to understand. I didn't feel like any part of the process was rushed in any way. From start to finish Inspector Paul was professional, thorough, and couldn't have been nicer. His attention to detail was worth every penny!If any one else is on the fence wondering if a pre-drywall inspection is worth the time and money, it absolutely was! We would never have known to look for all the things that Inspector Paul noticed and the builders would have just gone ahead and covered everything up with the drywall and siding, hiding the structural issues that would eventually arise months or years down the line. Now, the builder is working on all the recommended repairs and we feel much better about our home. We will absolutely be calling Paul again to perform another full inspection when the house is complete before the 1-year builder's warranty is expired. You will not be disappointed hiring Inspector Paul.
