Michael Miller was the rep who came to our house to discuss new siding. He was not pushy.He was very knowledgeable about his company's products.He had his installation manager come and measure and tell us how siding would would be installed and how long it would take.Installation began on 01/15/24 and was completed by 01/17/24. Dennis the foreman and his crew were very efficient. Cleanup was done daily. This included tearing off old siding, Installing insulation and siding with very little waste.Tonda and I are extremely pleased with the finished product. It looks like a whole new house. We have had numerous comments on it.One neighbor came over as work was going on and wanted information on who was doing work. He then contacted Michael Miller to come and discuss discuss what he wanted done on his house.We will be glad to speak with anyone about Southern Industries. The company was not able to do all of the work and the honesty is refreshing. to have a company give you an honest evaluation of the job. I was not able to work with them on this project, but definitely will consider this company for future projects!

Roman was respectful of the fact that I asked him to take off his shoes before entering my home. He is pleasant and keeps an eye contact when communicating. He showed me the information about their company including the liability/bond for their workers and product warranties. He also showed me samples of customers windows that were already installed and they already have serviced, installed. He tried to work within my budget to the best of his ability. All in all it was a good service. Would like to talk to him again for my bathroom renovations

If I could give zero Stars I would. The company is basically a wildly overpriced scam trying to extract as much money as possible from each person. Not only that - I caught them in several lies while they were here doing the quote. I cannot overstate how bad they are. Check out the Yelp reviews for Ultimate Gutter Guard Greenville and you will see a lot of one star reviews by the unfortunate people that did business with them.

While I didn’t do business with this company, I do feel like I should leave a review so that others might want to decide keeping an appointment or not. Our rep Mark, was personable and friendly, no hard sale or anything like that, but I do know when I’m being played and I didn’t care for it one bit. I felt like I have felt several times before in a car salesman’s office. “ Let me talk to my manager and see if we can get you the special discount.” Then a call was placed or maybe it wasn’t, who knows? Then, “If you’re willing to write us a glowing review and or allow us to use before and after pics, this might help lower your costs.” Come on guys, why the games? Just give us your BEST pricing, send me to someone’s house so I can see your work in the real world and let’s get on with it. (And yes, you MUST have good references or referrals for me to see your work) Unfortunately, pricing was another HUGE issue. I have already gotten a quote to ceramic tile this shower with a RSS water proofing system for $9000-$11,000. (Our shower is not large nor is it small) The first quote we got for their top line product was $21,000! Then it was lowered to $19,000. The entry level materials was $15,000! Pricing was way out of hand I’m afraid when you can tile your shower for much less money. The products look better than fiberglass and or acrylic, I’ll give them that, but again, pricing is out of line. Again, Mark was friendly and not pushy, so this company had that going for them. Want to win my business? Show me your work in the wild and give me your deluxe system for $8000 or less, because honestly that’s where the pricing should be for a man made material in my opinion.

They called asking if I need any other work done to my house because they installed my windows I said I need a screen on one of the windows repaired because it’s supposed to have a warranty on it and it ripped she said OK I’ll get that scheduled but are you looking to get anything else done? I said yes y’all can give me a quote on installing a new roof so they came gave me a quote. I agreed to the amount they took deposit for the job, then cash the check called back and tried to go up $2500 on the cost of the job I said no and they said they won’t be able to do the job for the original amount so I asked for a refund of my deposit and now they’re taking their sweet time refunding my money also never scheduled to have screen on window replaced

He spoke to managers to make sure they could handle all my inquiries, getting all problems resolved before he left. I stopped by the store in Greenville about a month ago. Michael helped me that day and I liked the product he showed me. Several weeks later my husband Steve and I went by again. Steve had more questions about things I had not thought of. Michael gave us so much information during this meeting. We scheduled an appointment for him to come to our house. He measured everything and left large samples of colors for us to look at. I went on the website and imported a picture of my house in order to place the siding on the eaves of our house. We then realized that we could not use a horizontal siding at all. We now have a vertical siding and that looks the best. I took all the samples back to the store today and Michael resolved the issue almost immediately. We will use a siding that can be installed vertically. I brought a few more samples home to choose the color. Michael has been so helpful. We haven't asked any questions that he hasn't confidently answered. He is pleasant and very easy to talk to. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting with him at our home this last Saturday. Southern seems to have a quality product and the type gutters we are looking for. But if all this comes together, which I really believe it will, we'll be buying from your company because of Michael and the expert help he is giving us.

Southern Industries offers Gutter Guard, and 18 years ago I had their product added to my home. Recently I decided to add some additional gutters to my home and out buildings. My first call was to Southern Industries, because in those 18 years I have had zero problems with my gutter system. They offer a quality product and back it up with a lifetime warranty. Yes, you can get cheaper gutters, but they will not compare to Gutter Guard. Thanks for keeping me off the roof for so long!

Beware! Don’t believe their claims of lifetime warranty and 20 year warranty on the paint. In reality the warranty is only good as long as the current owner owns the business. As sooner as they change ownership your warranty is worthless. I know this first hand because this Southern Industries version of Ultimate Gutter Guard refused to clean out a leaf clog or remedy the failing paint on my Ultimate Gutter Guard rain gutters because they were installed under the former owner of the business.

Job was promised 2 months out and indicated that he would likely get a discount for my low income cousin for the job. After the contract was signed, no lower price and it took 6 months for the job to be done. Because of the extended time, I asked to be released from the contract and they refused to do it! No problem with the job but I will never do business with this company again.This entire time my cousin had no working tub or shower. Others had taken advantage of him and started a renovation that was never completed. This company was made fully aware of this from the beginning but they didn’t care.

This company you need to stay clear of. I gave this company the opportunity to make things right by me. They had a salesman come out and upsale doors and windows to me. The salesman introduced himself as the regional manager after the previous appointment was a no show. They had a mix up and sent out a third Salesman after the second salesman came out who said he was a regional manager. The third salesman then told me the previous person was not a regional salesman and lied to my face. He would use this tactic as a way to make people feel like they were getting a good deal. I talked to the owner and yes he threw in a 300 dollars add on to a door for my troubles. The gutters they installed were done wrong and I had to repair parts of the house due to ignorant people not following directions. I called about this issue with no response. Then comes the doors and windows I had installed. The door in the pics is the trim they cut and left. I have gone personally up to the building to talk to the owner and he said they would take care of it. I have yet to get a phone call. This install was over a year ago and I still haven’t heard back from them. I am hoping that they will see this review and reach out to me to fix these problems. Do not buy from these people just cause you hear about them on radio. I have never written a bad review on someone for me to do this shows a lot of disgust with this company and the way they do business. Also the salesman that came out And lied also lied and said I am giving you discounts come to find out this is complete non sense and he lied to pad his own pockets. Stay clear of this company I mean stay clear. If you got orders with them cancel them you will!!!!Service: Window installation

If you’re planning on getting a quote, here’s what to expect. The promise of a $25 gift card is a lie, their agent won’t have it, and the office won’t call you back. The agent will be 30 minutes late, my experience anyway, and when you need time to think about it, and don’t sign that day, they become very rude.

Ultimate Gutter Guard seems to have changed its name to Southern Industries now Update:The fixes to correct issues have been to remove top gutter screws to help with the constant noise, although who knows what ramifications there could be of doing this, it did help, two bags of sand offered for the compromised and missing earth at the downspout (I tried it but it didn’t fix the issue), the upside down spout was turned right side up, screws were added to parts that connect but had no screws, an extra tie down was added to long downspouts so two ties per, a better connector piece was added to the downspout to the French drain, two $25 gift cards were received also. Only one was promised at sale. The warranties and guarantees were finally provided since they were not given upon sale or installation. Sand was offered & accepted initially but that absolutely did not work & continued to wash away making the holes bigger at the downspout next to the house. We discussed a load of top soil being brought but I decided against that as the owner absolutely does not want to pay anything to fix the problem they created. Nor do I feel they can ably do the job based on what I’ve seen so far. I will not have dirt brought here so it can sit and wash away or be wasted by improper ability to fix it. During the weeks to month after the installer left the job unfinished and didn’t put back all the dirt that needed to be put back around the downspout the original dirt washed away and created large pot holes around the downspouts where water puddles. I had to put concrete pieces along this area to keep it from totally washing away but you can see the amount of earth missing and compromised from picture. It has created a nasty issue alongside the home. I have waited long enough and have gone back and forth with the owner for months so I had to initiate this fix myself to prevent any further possible damage to the home. I have had to pay from my own pocket to have this area fixed with tamped down top soil and rock. An estimate was sent twice for reimbursement but refused. Very serious issues for a home to be dealing with improper water runoff!When a mistake is made, the right thing to do is to make things as close to right as possible.The installer refused to dig about a 1/2 foot to attach downspout to existing drain, left unfinished resulting in more erosion during some bad storms, not enough ties for long downspout pieces as entire downspouts were loose, areas that were dug around existing downspouts were not refilled with dirt resulting in big holes at two downspouts, not any screws attaching elbows and cheap garden attachments used at the bottom.NO response when asked to return and fix. I had to call and PAY someone else to dig the very short distance to the top of the underground drain and then call gutter folks back to attach the downspout, which was too short. But instead of giving me a new piece they rigged a piece to get it to the drain. Promises to return calls went unanswered, passed from one person to another person. Had to hire an attorney to send a letter. This got a response but not fixed completely. Only one technician seemed to care. He had to come about three times to even get the initial job almost up to par. He wasn’t even informed as to what pieces to bring back to attempt to fix the situation resulting in a couple needless trips for him. Had to call again after noticing rain literally pouring out of the side of the downspout … it wasn’t inserted inside the other piece but rather outside so all rain exited the downspout in a huge spray halfway down.The gutters will pop and shift ALL day long, very annoying! So much for a quiet deck sitting! You will be reminded constantly with popping, ticking and shifting sounds.Maybe fasteners are too tight or not enough.Customer service, communication and professionalism is nonexistent. Poor installer and too expensive for the overall investment.
