I bought a MH from this christian company last year. I have included pictures so readers can see exactly what I'm talking about in my review. This is not a review of the MH manufacturer - that has been addressed, it's a review of HomeMax, their business practices, and the product they sold me (if you sell a product, you ARE responsible for it ).HomeMax setup the MH in August 2023 with a hole right inside the front door covered only by vinyl (see pictures). The hole went straight through to the ground. Every single beam used to construct the MH they delivered to me is bowed - floors, walls, and roof (see pictures). Bowed beams are weak beams - they're a safety hazard during high winds.In order to try to sell me a treated wood, fiber cement, or brick foundation, Gabriel texted me that he "reached out to county" and that's what I would need to buy. He quoted me $3000 to $8000 over purchase price. I immediately contacted Marco M, in the county zoning office after responding to Gabe's text. She said he did NOT contact "county" b/c he would never have been told that - skirting is fine per county zoning regulations. I have the screenshot of this text.HomeMax installed the MH. I had 2 water leaks under it - one into the insulation (never addressed by HomeMax) under the flooring. I had (and still do) a warped electric pole that is falling over. The HVAC was placed on a lopsided concrete slab - which was thrown on top of a clump of dirt. Obviously nobody has any idea how to remove a clump of dirt with a shovel. The HVAC wobbled and was 3 inches off level per the HVAC techs from Perritts who came to fix it. The lopsided slab is still under it. The skirting has no entry panel. It is sagging all around because there is 1 screw holding up 3 and 4 pieces. It looks terrible. Bon, located in Manning, was contacted months ago (twice) and still hasn't gotten back to me. It was anchored down by HomeMax and given the condition the MH was in upon delivery, and their incorrect installation of everything else, I'm concerned every time the wind blows.The owner of this company, Dave Fautley, is very much aware of all these issues and has also received photos of them. He posts that he wants to put you in your "forever home". Which is actually my forever nightmare home.Best advice I can give... stay away from HomeMax... the sales process is talking the talk. The follow through is the actual walk.I figured out why my first review wasn't posted so I amended it and here's, also, the absolute truth. Unfortunately, I could only post a few photos, but HomeMax has them all.

After looking for over 10 years at many different companies ane manufacturers we found our dream home with Homemax. I can NOT say enough on how amazing they were through the entire process. Jay is phenomenal. He answered all of my questions (I had a lot 🤣) and never made us feel like we were an inconvenience to him even when honestly we probably were. Not only did we buy our new house we traded in our old and the process was seamless. Jay and Dave are absolutely incredible to work with. They have even sent their own contractors to address some minor problems that they truly didn't have to do and could have refused based on contracts signed and been completely in their legal right to do so. You're not just another customer with Homemax. They go above and beyond ANY other company we have ever dealt with. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could ✨️

UPDATE! The buying process was easy but repairs are a nightmare. Destiny sent someone out to cover the punch list and only completed some of them (they also will not get back to me). The other repairs that are the responsibility of homemax are still not done and getting an update is impossible. I have been trying to get someone out since Feb. and we still have no updates or answers. Be very careful when purchasing from Homemax.Our house buying process was easy and very well communicated. Marissa and Jay did a great job! The house is immaculate and we are so happy with it.

Dishonest liars. Don't expect to have anything fixed on your new home. They lose your list of things that are bad and want you to send new list of problems. Over and over multiple times. They send out who we call "Mr. Putty" that has a jar of spackle and a putty knife to make repairs. He looks at all major manufacturing defects. He tells you "oh, that's major problem I can't fix that today". They have you sign papers that say you won't take legal action against them and you must go through arbitration. What's this means is they will never fix anything. Now the company has been bought by another company and now it's even worse. If the same salesman is still employed there it proves that they areliars and don't care about their customers. Do not buy home from them you will regret it. How on earth they have people that have given five stars is a mystery to my family.

Let me start off by saying all the guys at Homemax are seriously AMAZING. We started this process in March, and will be in our NEW home very very soon. I just want to say this is my second review of this place because I took my first review down due to the owner coming down to our home and telling me to take it down very rudely! Well this one will stay put I’m no longer afraid of the rude owner of Home Max! Don’t buy from Home Max due to there being scripture on their boards and Bibles in all their homes because we thought this place was a Godly based business but boy was we wrong! My husband and I waited until he was 53 and I was 48 to purchase our forever home only to have our hearts broken! This business is a joke. Once they sale you the home and they get their money they are done with you! We have had nothing but trouble with our home. Right now we are dealing with our floors being uneven and I mean really uneven it’s horrible. We’ve tried calling and even emailing and no response whatsoever. They don’t care once they have their money. For anyone that has had good service out of them I’m happy for you but for us this house has been a total nightmare and it’s not even been two years yet. Think long and hard before you purchase from them because it all sunshine and rainbows and then once they have their money they have no clue who you are! Below is a leaky sink that was supposedly fixed once before but apparently wasn’t fixed right so now the cabinets are ruined and also a spot in the ceiling that was fixed twice and apparently never done right. Oh and to top it off during that recent storm our fireplace started leaking. Please whatever you do don’t buy from Homemax

When the house was delivered, there were a few small problems from the moving process and they were there to fix it in no time. So I must not have looked like someone seriously wanting to purchase a home today. I went in and at least 4 employees sitting around. One handed me a sheet and said these are what we have. The houses were either barely 1000sq ft or 2000sq ft and up. When I walked back it they said that was quick. I said I was looking for something in the middle then I was told they had 2 in that I could go back out and look at. So I did . There was one I had questions about. Some houses have different options available and the piece of paper I was given showed that the bedrooms had different closet options. I went into this man’s office sat down and asked if they could get the home with the different options. He quickly said no that’s how it comes said they had gotten that one in just to fill the empty spot on the lot basically and they were not ordering anymore of it. Then he said sorry. Never once did he ask me what I was looking for or if there was anything he could help me with to help me find a home. I guess they have enough customers that he didn’t feel like he needed my business. He didn’t offer a business card or anything. So thanks for the big ol city customer service. I definitely wouldn’t send anyone here who actually wants help with choosing a home.

Bought our home from Home Max several years ago. Great atmosphere on the lot with climate controlled models to tour. We were able to completely customize everything about our home. Raised our ceilings, pitched the roof, customized room layouts, moved bathrooms. The process was very smooth from the initial visit through the customization, and closing. Very energy efficient. 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath occupied pretty much all day every day, our power bill rarely exceeds 180 per month. Would highly recommend Home Max and a Destiny built home.
