I'm so glad that Manny stopped by my house that day. It was obvious that my 24 year-old roof had sustained hail damage from a storm back in January. With my permission, he represented me and filed a claim with my insurance company. They sent out an independent adjuster and a couple weeks later, I got a check in the mail from my insurance company, along with a written quote that Orange Elephant and the insurance company agreed to. They installed the new roof like true professionals. They covered the flower beds and my pool. They were careful not to damage my plants while stripping the old roof off. The new roof looks really good. Very clean looking installation with new shingles and vents. The whole team did a great job and I did absolutely nothing except thank them for their time and effort. I was facing cancellation of my home insurance because the new insurance company said I needed a new roof or they would cancel. By chance, Orange Elephant rep RICHARD KERR was talking to my next door neighbor and came over to me in the driveway. Richard explained that they could inspect and possibly get insurance to pay for it because there had been documented wind damage on a certain day. I said go for it! He did. Richard and my insurance inspected and the insurance company agreed it was from wind damage. I had to pay for my deductible but my insurance company paid the rest, over $15,000. TRIP (III) supervised a crew that removed and installed my new roof in one day. Production manager ED scheduled me in so that I could beat the cancellation deadline. This was a cold call, knock on the door. The gentleman talked to me for a bit, and I already knew that I needed a new roof. My house was built in '87 and if this roof has ever been replaced it was a long time ago. He helped me go through the process of getting my insurance on the line and properly filing the claim. I know your not with the company anymore but thank you Mike Vrabel. Also Jonathan Swarts, thanks for coming though and helping out with my options and planning out a time line. Grace, I don't know your last name, but I greatly appreciate the constant updates on my order and schedule, through all the HOA hassle to find an approved color, and always responding so quickly any time I had a question. Vincent Martinez, thank you so much for taking care of my home when I couldn't be there most of the day. The updates on my roof condition and the progress updates were greatly appreciated while I had to be at work instead of being here, helped keep my mind at ease as I knew such a big ordeal was taking place. Preston was extremely professional and made the entire process easy! I had no idea our roof was in the condition it was in, and Preston showed us all of the damage. I assumed the process would consume all of my time to get done, but this was far easier than expected. He worked with our adjuster, and the crew that did the work completed it in one day. Orange Elephant came to our house -- cold call -- to ask if they could inspect our roof for storm damage. Four months later, we have a roof that is far superior to our old roof in function and appearance. A month of that time difference was because Orange Elephant installed a roof and then was not happy with the quality of the shingles. They insisted on redoing the entire roof with new shingles of higher quality. For all this -- including the second roof -- they accepted the insurance company's cost estimate. For the job, Jared Sanders supervised the work on the roof both times. He specifically made sure our old roof's problem areas around vents and corners were well taken care of. David Hill inspected the roof both times, flagged the shingle problems with the first roof, presented us with the options for the second set of shingles, and went over with us all the details to tell Jared for the second installation. We are very pleased with the installation of our new roof. Orange Elephant was so easy to work with from start to finish. They were prompt to respond and always very professional. We worked with several people with Orange Elephant and I wish I could remember all their names. They were all quite helpful and responsive. We first met Osman and Katy Who were both very friendly and courteous. Completion of our roof took a few months because Orange Elephant was helping us work with our insurance company. Katy pretty much held my hand throughout this endeavor. She’s sweet as she can be and always available when we needed her. We would like to give a big shout out to Bryan who was the supervisor, I guess is his title, throughout the installation of the roof. If you are looking for a roofing company, I highly recommend this company, They are amazing. Respectful, caring , treated us like family and very good workers. We are so glad that salesman Chris stopped by our house to offer their service. Sergio Martinez the Job Site Supervisor, stayed and worked with his crew to make such the job was being done right A+A+A+A+++++. Same rate for Erik Chavira the Production Manager also worked his heart out. They schedule the arrival time at 6:00 am and they kept their promise. How many companies scheduled times and actually show up the time they say they will be there. I was really surprised they did and we have been so pleased because they clean up as if they had never been here. My plants and bushes were not destroyed or damaged. THANK YOU Orange Elephant for going such a good job and my home finally looks presentable. I highly recommend this company. And that is coming from a very picky person. Don't fall for there sales tactics. Iwas told that I was under no obligation to get my roof checked for hail damage. They did say that they would work with my insurance to get me the best value . I NEVER received an estimate for the job of re-roofing my house from this company. I do have a right to shop around for the best value though. I told them that I was not going to use them but instead use a local company. 1 week later I receive a letter saying I owe them 2500.00 dollars for breach of contract. I DID NOT sign a contract nor have I payed them any sort of upfront deposit for them to do the work. Why would I owe you 2500.00 dollars with no binding contract , no deposit made, no materials delivered, NOTHING ! How is this a binding contract ? I was LIED TO & DECIEVED ! I was told by Sam that what I signed was for them to get on my roof and work with my insurance company & was under NO OBLIGATION to use them !. That was VERY DECIEVING & UNPROFESSIONAL tosay the least ! I feel as if I am trying to be STRONGARMED into hiring them ! I will continue to update my review as to the status of this issue and if it is either resolved or progresses.UPDATE: 6-20-23 Still have yet to receive a return phone call or an estimate on a roofing job. They tell you that they will do your roof for what the Insurance company says but the NEVER ONCE have provided an estimate. As a customer looking to hire a roofing contractor I look for transparency which is not the case with this company. Oh and by the way I NEVER received a copy of what I signed. When the adjuster came a different person , Not Sam arrived late. He had no ladder, he asked the adjuster to use hers. No chalk, Had to borrow some from the adjuster, No Tape Measure, Had to ask the adjuster to borrow hers. Before the claim was even made Sam called my Insurance company from MY PHONE because his had no reception and could not get through to a claims agent. He came back the next day to contact a claims agent and again had to use my phone. All he told the claims agent was the supposed date the storm occurred. Then handed me the phone and I spoke to the claims agent for the rest of the conversation. After the other gentleman came out the day the adjuster came , He walked around on the roof with the adjuster using her tools and chalk. This guy had NOTHING with him except himself and a business card. Again I was told by Sam at the time of the first meeting and he did circle the piece of paper that I signed that I was in any way under any obligation to use them as my roofing contractor. He told me the paper I signed was to give them permission to be on my roof and released me from any obligation if he fell off of my roof. He did not explain to me that I would have to pay them 2500.00 dollars once a claim was approved if I did not cancel within 72hrs. Nor did I EVER receive a copy of what I signed. I have left numerous messages and have yet to receive a phone call back. The only thing that they did do was put a reply to my first review which is no longer on here for me to respond to. I should not and will not be forced to use a company that I do not want to use nor should I be forced to pay a company 2500.00 dollars for work that was WAS NOT DONE !!
