Just today we finished a multi-year, non-voluntary, insurance covered house renovation for water damage caused by an attic HVAC leak. Paul Davis(PD) did ALL of the repair portion for my renovation.There were several issues I encountered along the way due to certain PD employees. Due to these issues I left a low previous review on a different platform. Ultimately PD fired these individuals and the crew that replaced them has been Top Notch. The Bill and Nick team were AMAZING!I have stated several times that if I’d had Nick working my house from the beginning things would have been PERFECT! He even went back and fixed soo many of issues left by the previous crew.I unfairly stated that I would not recommend PD to a friend (I stand by that with the initial crew). However, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the team that Paul Davis has working for them now and give thanks to them for seeing an issue and taking appropriate steps to fix it. Props to Lucia for the handling of my previous review!PD completed the following:Full kitchen remodel and it looks amazing! New cabinets, new Flooring, I went with a custom counter top but they installed all the appliances. Everything from pull out shelves and soft close drawers. Nick nailed all of it.Full bathroom remodel. New flooring, new tub, new vanity, new sheet rock. Again, it looks amazing!New flooring throughout 90% of the house. All looks perfect! I went with a Rigid Vinyl Plank flooring and it is exactly what I hoped for.Ceiling install in 90% of the house. I decided against popcorn ceilings for ease of cleaning and definitely should have gone with a higher level of ceiling finish (I didn’t even know that was a thing).New walls in 90% of the house. All well done and painted quickly. Paint crew was amazing as well.New attic access, new light fixtures, new fans, new appliances. Everything good to go.All things considered I WOULD HIGHLY recommend Paul Davis to a friend and am glad that Nick, Bill, and Lucia were able to finish this years long saga.

Paul Davis came to the rescue after another restoration company decided to abandon the job. PD was professional, their subcontractors were on time, treated us like family, and performed well. The workmanship was excellent. Oh, Paul Davis didn't hound us and threaten to take a lien out on our home during the negotiations with our insurance company; we actually felt like the clients! The Paul Davis in Lexington, SC is a complete scam! They use cheap contract services and cut corners with supplies and materials. Collecting profit from both sides, customer and insurance, in an back-handed way. My advice, choose another repair estimator service, or you will be paying more than you should.

USE ANYONE ELSE! If I could leave 0 stars, I would. We have been very unsatisfied with the way Paul Davis restoration handled our repairs. This is an email that I sent to the project manager in mid-July 2022 and as of the writing of this post have not received a response or acknowledgement. We have also been calling them repeatedly to no avail. Just a little over 3 weeks ago, they completed the ceiling, but still have not received any update regarding the furniture that their subcontractors messed up. We have the money ready to pay, but the company has not been responsive to our requests."I just wanted to give you a heads up that I am writing a very unsatisfactory review for Paul Davis restoration. We have been very unsatisfied with the service that we received during the restoration process of the water damage in our home. The event happened on 3/13/22 and it took 3 months to restore something that could have taken a few weeks tops. Not to mention it took almost 2 months just to get an estimate together!My family was inconvenienced by this whole process. The children were forced to use a bathroom on another floor when your company could have at least restored the bathroom so that we can utilize it, instead of waiting over 6 weeks to do so. The contractor used to lay down the wood floor didn't know what he was doing. I had to tell him to redo the floors because they should be staggered when laying them (I can tell he wasn't experienced in that regard). The ceiling was poorly done, instead of a smooth transition from the new to the old ceiling, you can see bumps along the way, where you can tell that it was repaired. I'm not talking about the color, but the lumps in the ceiling show that one part was definitely new and didn't come with the home. The carpet people put rips on our furniture when moving (the furniture was purchased in late 2020).I am a project manager and I understand the process and identifying all the tasks and the dependencies between tasks to get a job completed to develop the plan to get the customer what they have asked for. I must say, that this project was poorly managed.Also, what is upsetting, is that your company is sure quick to ask for the money owed when you have left a very unsatisfied customer.I want to know, what will Paul Davis do to make this right for me and my family? We are giving you an opportunity to rectify this before we add another bad review on all platforms. To be honest, we should've read the reviews about your company first before hiring you to do the restoration.Waiting for your prompt reply and resolution regarding this matter."Services: Repair water fixtures, Drywall installation, Repair flooring

My sisters and I were in the process of selling our elderly parents home and we ran into all kinds of little issues through some water damage that occurred while they were abroad. Our Insurance Company requested estimates and Paul Davis of Columbia provided the quote that was to be used. We had a sense of urgency and they were able to fit us into their busy schedule so we could proceed with the closing on the date needed.Thank you to your friendly staff, your promptness and your caring and proficient job. We returned home after a trip to find a toilet had leaked and caused extensive damage to our floors. Since we weren't sure who to call, our insurance company suggested Paul Davis of Greater Columbia. Paul Davis did an excellent job. We found them to be responsive and competent. We were so pleased, we hired them to do additional work after the repairs were completed. If you need restoration or remodeling work, this company is a good one to use.

The tech crew at Paul Davis were fabulous. Not only was their work amazingly professional, but they were kind and considerate. They showed up at 10:00 AM, just an hour after we had phoned our insurance carrier to report a 3:30 AM flood that took down the ceiling in our living room. We were shell shocked. They were calm and competent - they knew what to do and did it. Answering all of our questions and setting our minds at ease that everything really would be OK.

My Insurance Company recommended Paul Davis Restoration, and I found working with these folks to be as stress-free as anything of this nature could possibly be. The Technicians, Project manager, and Administrative Personnel walked me through all processes necessary to address the damage, showed me the results, and were a joy to work with.from beginning to completion. I would hire these guys again, with no hesitation whatsoever, and I recommend their company highly.

I recently inquired about getting a quote to renovate a house I was looking to buy and resell. Paul Davis Restoration sent out a project manager (Reed) to look at the house, do measurements, and get all the necessary information he needed to prepare a quote. I was told by Reed that he had another quote to finish but would get mine to me the first of the week. This did not happen, so I called and left a couple messages with no response. I finally heard back a week later and Reed apologized about not getting back sooner...he told me they had to take care of a roof (or something) that was blown off in a storm since they were contracted to handle emergency situations...no problem, I said. He then assured me I would have the quote in a day or so. That never happened, so I followed up again the following week and I was told by a office manager that Reed was out sick a few days but was back to work and that she would have him call me...no problem. Unfortunately that never happened either, so I tried again and finally got in touch by text to see what the hold up was and he finally called me back. Reed then told me he had someone get into his computer and delete all of his files and would now have to start over, but could have it to me the following week...I said no problem, just text me or call me when you plan on sending it over. And of course that never happened...so after waiting another week and getting frustrated with the situation, I called and tried to get in touch with a manager (Bill) to see what was going on...he never called me back after leaving a message, so I tried again a few days later and got his cell phone from the receptionist. I was able to get in touch with Bill and he promised to look into it and get back with me. Yes, you guessed it, that never happened and even after one last text today I have yet to hear back from anyone! That being said, I typically NEVER write reviews, but I thought if this review saves someone the time and headache I had, that I should share my experience. Bottom line - this company does not keep their word or do what they say they will do and I would not recommend them...because if they can't get a quote to you in a reasonable amount of time, you know they won't get your house done either...so don't do what I did and keep waiting on Paul Davis Restoration to keep their word...look elsewhere!

DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE WE DID!!!!We came home from a vacation to find our ice maker leaking. Resulting damage required our hardwood floors be replaced and we used Paul Davis as a recommendation from our insurance company. The invoice had false charges for storage units but our furniture that was moved to our garage for storage. The charges were never removed, the project managers (multiple) involved all had reasons the project was dragging on after the the floors were refinished twice due to the PM not using the correct poly coat. Invoice included charges for labor and services that were not performed, when the owner finally got involved after my insistance and looking for some customer service, it didn't get any better. HVAC issues due to poor subs used, no accountability to help correct the issues and poor communication.So after a 2-3 week project that was still ongoing for a year with Paul Davis as the general contractor and still wasn't right, I received a notice for a contractors lien. Spoke with the owner multiple times regarding the false charges and provided my figures for what was owed. He never had a response for me on the final amount for me to pay, which I offered to due immediately and finally collected the inflated lien amount as we sold our home due to a job move. Owner stated that all the extra charges were in lieu of interest and fees!! Evidently it's ok to invoice for false charges but to hear Bill actually try to justify the inflated invoice that was never corrected from day one, pathetic. Although it is right in line with entire experience we had from day one. My advice, find a trust worthy company and one that has integrity and knows how to treat a customer.I wonder if the owner will have the guts to respond to this review. If he does, I doubt he will take any responsibility for any of the issues or issue me any refund for the extra charges.

Tenant had small kitchen stove fire. In my absence, Roger's Property Management had Paul Davis Restoration clean up, repair and restore cabinets,above stove fan-vent,ceiling,cabinets & kitchen walls were painted white (on my request). Several photos were sent to show me work was completed (within a few months). RPM handled it all for me so check with them for more info, if needed.I'm satisfied.Service: Paint indoors

This is a day late and a dollar short but my experience with this company is pretty poor. I had a small deck fire in 2017 and hired them to handle repair. Everything from dragging there feet to finish to poor quality. My sliding door they put in was garbage from the get go, they didnt put back a down spout on , poor quality the roofing. My neighbors call and complained to me about the behavior.

I wouldn't hire this firm to cut grass. I have been waiting for completion of flood damage since the first week of January 2016. FINALLY people started showing up this week. No one knew anything about the other people. Amazing. They disappear. POOF. Gone. No phone calls. No nothing. Then they call and want me to be around today between 12-4. OMG. I told the owner yesterday I was going to Augusta for the Masters. Didn't even phase hi,m. I gave up ( ready?) a club house pass for Augusta National today as I had to be around for these clowns. I will never again have that opportunity. Never. Ever. Once in a lifetime opportunity. Gone. Why? All because of the inefficiency of PaulDavis Restorations. 3.5 months. Still not done. Fine someone else. These outfit is a joke. I asked yesterday if it could be put off till next week. No. I'll never again have the opportunity to sit in the Clubhouse at Augusta National, Masters Week.

Unfortunately Paul Davis has been a disappointment for us. Our single bath project started early December 2017 and was finished 06 April 18. Quality of work and communication was poor. Makes us upset even talking about it. Thank goodness it is over. Never again. Overcommitted and under resoutced.
