We chose Vigilant for our water damage repairs because of all of the great reviews, and we were so glad we did! This has never happened to us before, so I had no idea what to expect, or even what to do...so even before I hired them, I called to ask for advice and spoke to Larry. He was wonderful, and very patient! He told me exactly what to do, and what to expect. We were given Ross Green as our Property Manager, and he is phenomenal! He made sure at least one person was there everyday to work all day, while others came in and worked on what they did best, and moved onto other jobs. He tried to get to our place everyday to check the work and the progress, and make sure we were happy. He always answers his phone! If we were not quite sure when something was supposed to be done, he got the answer right then, never "I'll call you and let you know". You know the answer before you hang up!We really thought our carpets would need replacing, but were assured that they just needed cleaning, sanitizing, and deodorizing. We were still skeptical, but Jeremy and Maria came in and did an amazing job! Also, they were right, our carpets came out beautiful and with no odors! I would highly recommend Vigilant to everyone looking to get their home back to normal!

We had catastrophic water damage at our home. I wasn't sure who to call, so my first instinct was to check with some of the larger well known restoration companies. I did not like the many negative reviews I was seeing, but thankfully I stumbled across Vigilant Restoration. They had stellar reviews so I decided to set up an appointment to have them come over.My first meeting was with Jeremy. He was very compassionate and understanding, concerning our situation. After speaking with him for 10 minutes I decided Vigilant was the Company for us! They handled EVERYTHING from dealing with the insurance company to being able to repair every single problem we stumbled across.Once we committed to letting Vigilant handle our repair, we met with Maria, Tim and owner Fred who reassured us they had the experience and knowledge to get us through this tough time and repair. We actually had to move out of our home for 3 months. I could tell they really cared, and it was more than just a "job" for them.Here is what you really need to know. Some of the repair was covered by insurance, however, much of it was not. We discovered things that had to be paid out of our pocket. Fred, the owner, sat and worked with us and tried to save us as much money as possible to lower our obligation. I was so impressed that he went over every detail and found a way to save us money. He did not have to do that. I was like, WOW, he really has OUR best interest in mind!All work was handled professionally and on time. And keep in mind, in this line of work, sometimes things come up that may slow the process down. Fred and the team were on it! And as picky and impatient as I am, I couldn't believe the hustle in these guys!! I certainly hope I won't need their services again anytime soon, but if you do, I can assure you these folks will get it handled better than anyone on the Beach!!! Jeremy, Maria and Ryan are the best! Our home flooded in north myrtle beach and my family and I are stationed in japan with no way to get home. They have made our lives 100% easier during this process. They answer anytime we call, throughly document, take initiative and have solutions. Due to unfinished work on my roof, I recently had water dripping into half of my house during a rainstorm. Once a call was made, they arrived within 30 minutes to tarp my roof! Within another hour, an additional crew was there, cutting out my ceiling to remove wet insulation to prevent more damage. They were all so nice, helpful, and empathetic. Maria was amazing...talked everything through with me, and let me know what was happening every step of the way. She, the crew, and the whole company is just wonderful. Excellent organization, had a water leak which lead to a mold issue. They project managed from beginning to end always knew what was happening and when. They were on time everyday. Heard or saw project manager all the time updates and status . Could not have been more happy and impressed with their work. I contracted Vigilant for major repairs to my house after storm Dorian felled a huge tree on it. I feared the house I love so much would never really be fixed or the same. Vigilant told me it would take a good 6 weeks to complete the job. I resigned myself to thinking it would take two or three months for work to be completed, and I would probably end up selling the house after that.Project Manager Scot directed numerous crews and continually kept in contact with me to keep me posted on progress. Even though my family had relocated, I knew at all times exactly what was going on thanks to Scot. Rainy day when outdoor work was scheduled? No problem - Scot coordinated weekend work to stay on schedule! Maria, in charge of removing and replacing the entire contents of the house and cleaning, took it upon herself to text me with pictures. Not only did she take obvious pride in her work, she went above and beyond by offering suggestions and caring for the belongings in the house as if the were her own. She is Vigilant’s gem!Five weeks and three days after Vigilant began, the house was handed back to me. I have never heard of work of this magnitude being completed on (before!) time AND on budget! Furthermore, when we examined all the work done to prepare the punch list of items for Vigilant to fix, we could not find one single thing (and we looked hard!) During Hurricane Dorian 2 extremely large trees - trunks 3 to 5 feet in diameter, 100 feet tall - fell on our home causing major damage - water/structural. Vigilant had their team onsite within hours. Mitigated further damage and began the process of restoration. They delivered, per their time estimates, in a high quality and professional manner. Communications were excellent and their staff very professional and responsive. The project manager provided sound advise and leadership. We are back in our home and consider the folks we dealt with at Vigilant friends.

Vigilant Restoration was recommended to me my by insurance company after having significant water damage caused by a burst hot-water heater. Yolanda and her crew arrived promptly. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. They were possibly the hardest working contractors I have ever encountered, working well into the night the first visit to get all the wet materials removed and exposed. If all of Vigilant crews are as great as Yolanda's, no other restoration company could compete with them. During recent hurricane we had a tree fall on ourhour and lodge in the roof. Water was pouring into the kitchen and laundry room. We were out of town but insurance was called followed by call to Vigilant Restoration. Fred and his crew were onscene within driving time from their office and tarpped the ceiling from inside and removed damage drywall, cabinets, and flooring because the tree could not be removed without a crane..done one week later. Yesterday Maria and Kenny came and packed contents of affected area into a storage pod allowing repairs to begin. All people including Sherry in the office have been very compassionate and professional in their care for us and our home. Thank you for your expertise and your responsiveness to our needs. Stars and high marks for everyone we have had the opportunity to meet during these difficult circumstances. I would give zero stars if possible. They came out when we had a water leak and left in the middle of the night because their equipment failed. They never came back we had to suck up the remaining water ourselves. They didn’t even check in the next day instead they said you were suppose to call us!! They damaged the tile in the house with the machine they used to suck up the water. Understandably I started looking for other companies and they got very upset and rude with me after that. They took forever to schedule to clean the tile when they did want to schedule they picked the day they knew we were moving stuff into storage bins. It took another week before they would come. When they did clean the tile they left piles of comet cleaner in the grout. They never communicated when they were going to fix this. The other company that handled the repairs cleansed up their mess. Worst customer service ever

Trying to sell a home long distance is not easy. But trying to sell a home long distance and discovering that due to tenant negligence it now has water damage and mold is a NIGHTMARE! I count my lucky stars that I found VIGILANT! Their entire staff is compassionate and caring and so very efficient. They are accessible around the clock, even on weekends! Their mediation and restoration teams are very professional and provided an excellent end product. They worked with our insurance adjustor and our insurance and provided a seamless process.
