Keep in mind who edits and controls publication of reviews--J.Decker Home Improvement. It was our experience that Decker intended to do well and are good self-promoters. At first, they presented themselvesto be sensitive to our needs and committed to exceeding our expectations to remodel Our kitchen and dining area. As work commenced they became less concerned to discuss generally acceptable standards for quality of finish cabinetry and more emphasis on the timetable for the next draw. In my opinion, they seem to have fallen into the cycle of heavy advertising-accepting more contracts than can be fulfilled - over-sensitivity to criticism-and then competing with hundreds of other local people with hammers.We contracted with Jamie Decker a few years ago to remodel our kitchen at the height of their popularity with the highest expectation the remodel would have for a successful conclusion through Decker Home Improvement. Midway through the job my wife gave Him a check for work and materials completed to date and cancelled the contract.Services: Install flooring, Paint indoors, Interior structural repairs, Kitchen remodeling

Decker Home Improvement refinished the two large double doors on my home. The doors had aged over the past 17 years and needed to be sanded, stained, sealed, and needed new seals between the doors and on the bottom on the sweep. They did a really nice job refinishing the doors, and they are watertight and ready for another long decade. They were on time, and on budget. I am very pleased with the work and the results. I will use them again for other projects. Before and after photos are below.

Don't waste your $70 on the estimate. Decker is just like Guttergaurd, waste your time and then give you a ridiculous quote. They even had a charge on there for drop cloths???

Decker Home Improvement did an outstanding job. I had water damage under refrigerator and under main support wall. They went above and beyond on my house. Matched the paint to the "T" with what I had. Kept everything clean. About 6 months ago I called Decker after my roofer i used to use retired. I was a little hesitant as i have mostly used small mom and pops and I knew Decker was a big company. To my surprise the guy from the TV commercials Jamie Decker is who showed up to house. I just had a small leak so he gave me a quote and I accepted and asked when he would send someone back out? To my surprise he pulled the ladder off his truck and had it done in 30 minutes. A few weeks later I needed a ceiling fan installed on a really high ceiling and a pocket door fixed. They send a tech named Phil who was really nice and had it done in less than an hour. He also noticed the railing on my outside stairs was rusted and said he can have their painter out tomorrow. It is just awesome to have someone that does everything and not have to call 6 people for different jobs. I need new cabinets in my kitchen next year and they will be who i call. I love that a company their size the owner still takes time to meet local people.

Do not use this company. They do not stand by their work and fight the customer. They were paid 1200 dollars to replace 6 sky lights. 2 of the lights leaked within 2 weeks of install. They said they would come out and fix it they never showed up. After a month of trying to contact them Jaime finally answered the phone. He said he had no paperwork on this job even though I provided him the invoice from his company. He said they don't warranty anything unless you replace the whole roof.When it leaked I called right away and they said they would come out and fix it because it should not have leaked that soon. They never showed, never contacted me and will not come out now to fix it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they do not provide quality work and do not stand by their craftsmanship.A few hours after posting this review Decker Home Improvement publicly threatened to sue me. Please be careful around this company.

In 2016 I had contracted Decker Home Repairs to replace my front porch. Decker finished the project to my satisfaction, on time, and within budget.This summer, I noticed some leakage around the railing and found that the wood around the posts had water damage from those leaks. The flashing had some leakage problems as well.I took some pictures of the damage, contacted Decker Home Repair, and asked for support fixing this pre-mature failure.Decker was very supportive and sent a project manager to evaluate the issue. Decker immediately notified me that a repair crew would come out to fix the problem.The repair was done promptly and to my satisfaction. We had a complete remodel of our 40 year old home including new kitchen, load bearing wall removed, renovated and enlarged master bath, new crown molding and paint throughout, patio covered and old concrete patio and driveway removed and new poured. It was a major task in which was started and completed on schedule. The workmanship was great and exceeded our expectations. Jamie and his crew of professionals were very responsive to meeting any changes that we requested. Considering the vast amount of work we had done, in our opinion, the pricing was fair and reasonable. I will definitely use Decker for any future needs and it is without any hesitation that I recommend them for any repair or remodel need.

Decker’s crews are great. Not just good, but great. Our shower remodel was completed and followed through to a beautiful conclusion. Our compliments to Ric, Peter, Rickie and all the talented men who worked on this project. Oscar’s tile work is beautiful. He even mitered the corners of the metal trim in the shower. Disorganized and sloppy. Quality of the work (minor repairs to some siding on the back of my house and building some small steps to my back door) was poor. They did eventually correct their errors, but it took three attempts. When I complained to Jamie Decker, he said he was thinking about shutting the business down, but he never offered to reduce the very high price they charged. For the quality of work I got, I could have just as easily hired some college kids on summer break for half this.I'd be wary of giving a deposit to them when the owner of the business says he's considering shutting it down.

We had a unique situation regarding the installation of 220 service for an outdoor spa. The electrician was creative and motivated when faced with the challenge of running the line where access was not what he expected. His professionalism, polite and calm demeanor was so refreshing! His assistant was patient and attentive to making sure the job was done with care and respect of our home. It is without ANY hesitation that I would HIGHLY recommend Decker Home Repair! I am very pleased with the recent work that Decker Home Repair did on my house. The only reason I didn't give a 5-star is because only Generals get 5-stars. They always called to let me know they were on their way, the guys did a great job and were pleasant and courteous, and cleaned up very nicely afterwards. Had bathroom leak that came through living room ceiling, Decker had to cut ceiling to find and repair leak. All Jamie Decker's employees were extremely courteous and thoughtful in making sure everything was covered and cleaned up when job completed. Would recommend Decker Home Repairs.Thank you Jamie!

2 years ago I had Decker come and (supposed) to fix my moms decking. It is now peeling and warping. Not very happy about their work. Will not be calling them for any future jobs.Update: 10/1/2020Now we have water running in from our sunroom window. We have a deck above the sunroom. Decker caulked the water runoff area and the water has been running back into the wall and down my windows. That was how the water was supposed to run off. Rotted wood that is about 4 years old and thats when I had this work done from Decker. They don't have knowledgeable workers. Supposed licensed and bonded these guys were not! Don't use them for any type of outdoor painting or decking replacement!!!! By the way, I did not tell you guys to use the cheapest way, I said to do it the right way!Services: Exterior painting, Remodeling

Decker recently replaced my attic stairs. Both Decker guys were respectful and courteous. They worked steady and were very detailed and meticulous with the fit and appearance of the stairs. Sean Mowery came out to give an estimate on Monday, we received the estimate, approved it, they had materials here on Wednesday, and then they did a complete tear down and re-roof on Thursday. The crew did a great job on the roof and cleaned up the work site as well (you can't even tell they were here). Sean is also working with our insurance company to help us get reimbursed. We are very happy with the work they did and will recommend them to others.

Jamie answered my email quickly and scheduled an appointment with me for the day he got back from vacation. He was very professional and made everything look easy. It's evident he knows what he's doing. Came out on a Thursday said a quote would be don’t the next day. Didn’t receive the quote until a week after they stated it would be done. Quote was incomplete. They quoted 2 things on an inspection report of about 20. I rejected the quote from them through their email system. They never followed up on it. My wife called and voiced our displeasure. They said they do not offer refunds and they would have the owner contact us. They never contacted us again.Edit: Jamie Decker called me shortly after posting this review to correct any displeasure. He offered a refund and assured me that these leaks in his quality assurance would be addressed and corrected.

Had a slow leak behind my fridge that ruined the subfloor. Decker came out and replaced the subflooring and redid the linoleum to hardwood flooring. They were in and out in two days and didn't leave a mess. The flooring contractor they used was also very good, friendly, and quick. Will definitely use Decker again in the future, need be.

Would have give them no stars after ridiculous quote I got today to replace a little bit of base board and replace some carpet in my master bed room and a few pieces of vinyl siding that I have already bought for some one to replace. Would have never payed $70 estimate fee if he would have give me the quote first. Guess that’s why they say they’ll email it back to you after you give them the crazy fee they charge. I’ve had to quotes of $750 on replacing carpet and bass boards. The vinyl is only 10 pieces to fix and the quote they give me was $3645. You tell me how that quote got that high when the carpet is the most expensive part. Do not call decker home repair for anything. They don’t respond back when they say they will. I see where this Jaime Decker responds to these reviews. Well Jaime my name James Warren and the only thing I can say about the way this happened is I don’t know how you’ve stayed in business giving estimates this high unless your suckering a bunch old people that have lost there mind. And that fee you charge is the only money you’ll ever make off me, and the way i see it is you stole it considering the circumstances.Update on quotes from other companies, between Wall to Wall flooring and Andy on call, I’m $2670 cheaper then decker home repair. Pretty much stole $70 dollars from me to give me a crazy estimate. Worse $70 dollars ever spent. The right thing to do is send me my $70 back. Also neither one of those company’s charge a ridiculous estimate fee.

3/3 experiences with them. Each time, communication has been solid, professional, and prompt. Honestly I don't understand the negative reviews here other than people not understanding how contract verbiage works. The work caliber has been nothing other than craftsman quality. We did have an issue after a few doors were hung, and all it took was a phone call and they came out and fixed it immediately without additional cost. The scheduler was equally professional. I will continue to use them with confidence.

I had a very outdated bathroom. Jamie Decker drew up the customer plan and had it to me very quickly. The finished bathroom is exceptional in beauty and function. He was able to enlarge my shower, move the two vanities, and create a spa like space.
