This is our 5th build with different contractors. Scott Gilbert Construction builds a top notch quality house at a very a fair price. Steve handles the office operations & is very accessible, always taking the time to answer our questions. Eric is the on site supervisor & he is always on top of every phase. If we had questions, he typically knew the answers right away. If you are looking to build a quality home & want a great building experience, you should pick Gilbert Construction.

Very nice quality construction. Eric usually responds pretty quickly to issues. Steve has been wonderful as well. Nicely laid out floor plan, quality materials. I'm not particularly happy with the location of the sump pump piping (under the master bedroom), but I think that can be changed.

I became a Realtor in1980 here in Sioux Falls and in 2002 decided it was time to build a home for our growing family, Sioux Falls has many excellent builders and my wife and I knew many of them through the years of being in the real estate business. I was well aware of the quality and care behind Scott Gilbert Homes and decided to visit with him. We met with Scott and Steve who carefully walked us through the entire process. Scott and Steve along with the excellent staff and subcontractors did an undescribable job building our home. My wife and I have raised our two daughters (now in their teens.....YIKES!) and built many wonderful memories in that very home. Scott Gilbert Construction helped from start to finish. Helping pick out the right lot to build on, design the right plan and pick out the ammenities that helped make our house a vauluable asset as well as a warm place to call home.

Steve and Eric were great to work with and were very accommodating to our questions throughout the building process. We loved having the flexibility they offered with choosing flooring, countertops, cabinets, etc. Their work is high quality and we would highly recommend them.

Will not choose this builder for the simple reason of dollars per square foot. $300/SQFT is absolutely ridiculous. Not sure what you get for that, but they are double the price of the majority of builders. Good luck finding million dollar house buyers.
