This roofing company, The Roof Guy, is awesome! They were recommended to me by my neighbor who had recent storm damage.The next week I had flashing blown off in another storm. I called The Roof Guy and explained my damage to Andrew, the owner.He explained in detail what it would take to repair the flashing and we set up a time for him to look at it. Andrew came out , explained what he would have to do, and then made the repair.He then asked if I had any roofing questions, which I did. We walked around the house and he explained different aspects of shingles, gutters, downspouts, and vents. I was delighted to learn so much about roofing and what maintenance in the future I should be aware of.This was a very pleasant experience and well worth the very reasonable cost to have the job done. I highly recommend The Roof Guy! After several calls and promises from another roof repair person if saw Andrew, The Roof Guy recommended on SM! I called and explained our problem and with the rain expected over the weekend from IDA he made a priority to get us taken care of ASAP! I needed someone to check out my skylights, to make sure they were not leaking or damaged after they were pressure washed incorrectly. Andrew came out, checked them out, and cleaned them for me. He even offered to fix a gasket while he was up the roof, which he did at a good price. He did a good job, and was easy to work with. I initially called the company to repair a small leak in our roof. Almost immediately upon arriving Andrew, the owner, stated that I needed my roof replaced. He also stated that the roof needed to be replaced on our detached garage. Andrew said he could/would handle everything with the insurance company because it all appeared storm/hail related. I was naturally skeptical, mainly because this was my first time dealing with a roofer and a homeowners claim. We all have heard horror stories about both! I skeptically agreed to move forward. I believe Andrew could sense my skepticism and offered to include in the contract that if the insurance company did not pay the entire replacement cost we would not be liable for anything other than what they did cover. This definitely made us feel better. Then the poor communication began. The day they were supposed to deliver materials so they could start the job the next day, they no call-no showed. I had to call Andrew. The day they were supposed to start the job, they no call-no showed. I had to call Andrew. That pattern continued from there throughout the entire job. Ultimately the job was completed and the work looks good. Andrew also installed ridge vents on the house, garage, and shed even though he was not required to. To sum it all up, the work appears like it was done well but would I use them again knowing all the communication issues, frustrations, and issues I had to deal with throughout the job....no.Your reply on my review is also untrue Andrew. If there is any kind of balance on our account that is between you and the insurance company, as this was an insurance repair. We have a signed contract with you that shows we personally owe you nothing and we have signed over every check the insurance company has given us. To further reiterate your poor communication, during the process the insurance company reached out to us to see if we had been in contact with you because they were waiting on pictures and documentation of the repairs. He showed us that is was not a roofing problem and took the time to show us where the leak was coming from and how to fix it ourselves at no charge! After the snow storm we developed an ice dam on our roof. I called the Roof Guy to see if he could come steam the ice off of my roof. A mother bird had partially removed a section of the soffitt on side of our house and built a nest behind it. We called the Roof Guy to repair the soffitt and remove the nest. Andrew came out right away, arrived at the time he said he would, and inspected the soffitt. He could not locate the nest, concluding it was probably in our unfinished attic area, but we could not locate it. He told us if we repaired the soffitt now, the mama bird would make her way back to the nest, possibly doing more damage. Andrew advised postponing the repair until after the baby birds had left the nest. He was here almost an hour and would not take one penny for his time and trouble and could have made the repair, knowing we would call again when the mama bird got back in. This kind of integrity is rare nowadays. We definitely would and will use the Roof Guy in the future. Thank you Andrew.

The Roof Guy, LLC /615 Roof Guy - Andrew Buss is a COMPLETE SCAM.Working with this company has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE.Professionalism - Andrew is unable to commit and follow through with anything he says or promises. Even the most simplest tasks like showing up for work, seems to be impossible.The Communication with this company is terrible. What would seem like simple questions like “when will the crew to get here with materials?”, and "when do you think you should be able to finish this job?" were ignored, or we were met with a firestorm of angry emails from Andrew about he is not liable for when the job is completed.Workmanship – There were a number of unfished areas left by one of Andrews sub-contractor. I brought this to Andrew attention multiple times and begged him to fix it. Andrew promised for months to come out and correct the mistakes. After TWO months of him never showing up - I finally gave up on Andrew and paid someone else to fix them.Save your receipts – Andrew frequently sent us invoices for bills we already paid. Weekly he would send new invoices “Overdue” and ‘Past due’ that we already paid. I would bring these to Andrew’s attention would apologize, then RESEND us the same invoice again the next day.Please, I beg, PLEASE DONT make our mistake. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING WITH THIS CONTRACTOR. It will be the longest/Aggravating 4 months of your life. It will be one failed expectation after the next. You will spend months waiting Andrew to finish simple tasks, until finally he admits he can’t get the job done and you have to hire someone else.
