We hired Undersun to replace our house and detached garage roofs recently, and I can’t say enough good things about them. Jaime, Adam and the rest of the team were a pleasure to work with throughout all phases of our roof replacement projects. We are very pleased with the quality and were given a very fair price for the work. The roofers on-site were fast and very respectful during the performance of the work and uploaded hundreds of photos that they shared with us while we were away, and Jaime kept in constant communication with me during every phase of the project. Even after the work was complete, they went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with every aspect of the work. I definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a new roof!

Roofing crew was very respectful of my property and were on time each day. They stayed past sunset one evening to get some things done and worked very efficiently. My wife (who has a different last name) called Undersun Roofing to come out to give us a quote on a new roof. I was sitting in my house when I saw a ladder propped up in front of my window. Then there was a knock at my door and it was them. By the time I got to the door one of the guys was already on my roof drawing circles on my roof and the other was talking to me. The guy I was talking to was telling me about all of the damage and he said we were going to get a lot of money from insurance to replace the roof. I told him that we were going to pay for the roof out of pocket because of recently filed claims with our insurance. He acted like he was punched in the gut. And his tone immediately changed. As we talked more my wife joined us to ask questions. We were given a minimum of $30K quote and they said it will cost more than that because of the damage. And he said we needed to call a lawyer because insurance can’t drop us for too many claims. And when we asked why the price was more than double previous quotes we got. Their response was that we were being lied to. And they started getting defensive and started being disrespectful to my wife. We called them out on it. The younger guy went into a total meltdown about his military service and decided that he didn’t want to work with us and had a hissy fit and they both left. And they accused us of not respecting military service people. It was one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen in my life. So we ended up using someone else to do a roof and it was done with all new boards and everything for $14K. And for the record our Grandfathers and her father served in the war. My grandfather was in WWII and all five were involved in the Vietnam War. So we respect the military. But we deserve to be respected too.

Five stars is not enough.Within hours of first contacting Undersun they had a crew over to our house and tarped the roof prior to a rain event later that evening.(really saved the day) Adam and Jamie were great with the insurance company, helping us get a much better roof than we had before. They even came out the morning The insurance adjuster came so that they could speak their lingo. My wife truly enjoyed working with Jamie picking out the new color and style of shingles for our house. The installation of the new roof was flawless. The crew was on time and ready to get to work. I have been in the construction industry for 20 years and it is rare to see a crew that gets along as well as these guys with professional attitude, outstanding workmanship, and Drive. When the crew finished the roof was beyond my expectations and they did a fantastic job cleaning up. A Disastrous Experience with Undersun Roofing: Overpromised, Under-Delivered, and UnprofessionalIt is with a heavy heart that I recount my incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience with Undersun Roofing. What began as a hopeful partnership with a veteran and woman-owned company turned into an absolute nightmare of incompetence, lack of oversight, and unprofessional behavior. The litany of failures I encountered with Undersun Roofing is astounding, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal to caution others who might consider engaging their services.From the very beginning, Undersun Roofing overpromised and under-delivered on what they would accomplish within the scope of work. The work they did manage to schedule was far from complete when their crew finally showed up on site. To make matters worse, there was an utter lack of oversight for the crew. On some occasions, they idled away their time, extending their presence well into the evening while accomplishing absolutely nothing. It was a clear demonstration of their disregard for our time and expectations.The owner's apparent overwhelmed state became painfully obvious as we faced constant delays in the project schedule. What should have been a seamless transition from bid to execution turned into a recurring cycle of being pushed back repeatedly. Despite their assurance that we would be prioritized, the project did not commence until July, despite our initial engagement with them back in April. Their excuse of weather-related setbacks fell flat when considering the damage to our property that needed urgent attention.The lack of professional communication and proper scheduling was an ongoing frustration. Their promises to visit for appointments were consistently broken without any advance notice or attempt to reschedule. It was we who had to relentlessly pursue them to get any semblance of a response or commitment. This level of disregard for basic communication norms was unfathomable.Moreover, attempting to convey instructions to the crew was an exercise in futility. The difficulty in communication had nothing to do with language barriers but rather stemmed from the fact that the crew appeared to be utterly clueless about what needed to be done. This exposed a lack of training, direction, and overall professionalism on their part.One incident that epitomized the unprofessionalism of Undersun Roofing was when the owner admitted that the only reason she finally answered my call was because she mistook me for her caterer. This came after numerous unanswered texts and calls, leaving me disheartened and questioning my decision to hire them as my confidence was shattered by the reality of their incompetence and lack of commitment.In conclusion, my encounter with Undersun Roofing has left me disillusioned and utterly dissatisfied. Their overpromising, under-delivering, and unprofessional conduct have tarnished any initial positive perceptions I had. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to think twice and look elsewhere for a company that values professionalism, communication, and customer commitment. My experience with Undersun Roofing was a lesson in how appearances can be deceiving, and I can confidently say that I would never consider working with them again.I'm wondering if we had gone through our insurance company or needed our entire roof replaced would we have received the type of service from the reviews that others have left.

REVIEW 10/23Re: Fixing Gutter leak issue under warranty:DISGUSTEDDISAPPOINTEDDISILLUSIONEDEXHAUSTEDMy father could teach Undersun how to operate a business and with integrity and respect.Below was my initial review, post completed roof and gutter install IN July 2023, contracted 3/17/23 to begin. Since then, my feelings have diminished more, sadly!7/23 review:UNDERSUN is Veteran and Woman owned which drew me to this company. They did a wonderful inspection ( I thought at time, but during roof installation, front corner rotted to which they had siliconed chimney base, thinking leak drip sound was CAUSED by that but wrong.) and worked hard to get insurance reimbursement (until second sample was "buried" under something so never mailed til this was discovered.) The roof is so far leak free. Gutters look beautiful and gutter guards are in. ( Took 2 attempts to straighten, fix gaps between gutters and facia, the ends of guards are still sticking up and out, and the installer was disrespectful and now, 9/23, a leak which they are not fixing.)If you're a customer who is detailed oriented, a perfectionist as much as possible on construction project, impatient if project takes too long to complete, like to stay on top of it, then if decide to hire this company, discuss those expectations to see if can be met. If do that up front, could prevent they walking out, and ignoring calls crickets until Finally, a response and completion. The owner, a veteran, someone who risked life to defend my right to speak freely and I so appreciate his sacrifice. Their feelings about me, senior citizen who managed it all without backup, are less than fond I'm sure. I pray that my roof holds cause they cannot be depended upon to honor warranty, I'm guessing.Undersun's Oct 2023, response to my review is full of untruths and to insinuate using "senior citizen " to gain sympathy is an example of your disrespect.A splash guard Was never offered to me and you know it. Several homes have them AND I DO, INSTALLED BY YOU, on left corner. And, you know it's not problem with overflow from valley. You, the owner, just didn't want to come back after sending installer, to see the real problem as i requested. Not to mention how long to respond when just an acknowledgment of iniitial email would have been good. And you know that you told me to " take time selecting shingles till insurance approved." You lied to Adjuster about this when you forgot to mail sample.Thank you for acknowledging my compliments and gratitude along the way as I tried to make it work. The day you left in an angry huff when all I wanted to do was review list of 3 things you agreed needed to be fixed on " walk around," was an experience of which I have more to say but won't and I had more specifics but choose to end my comments now.
