This is my Husband and I first time getting a roof done we had no clue what to expect. But our contractor Matt Buchmann broke everything down to us made it so clear to what we were signing, he went over everything detailed by detail because we had so many questions, but he was so patient and very kind. He came off very friendly. It was kinda almost like we were talking to our family member, I would definitely refer people to this roofing company wonderful customer service.

I can't recommend this company enough! My home was impacted by wind storms this spring and I was lost on what to do about it. A friend had recommended BCR. The representative, Robert Emberton went out of his way to get me taken care of. They provided me with an entire video report of the damage on the roof and was able to get a replacement covered by my insurance company! I WAS SHOCKED! Part 1The whole process from start to finish was almost four months. I do not have an issue with this since there was insurance claim processing time and weather delays. I have worked construction jobs in the past, so I completely understand weather delays. I not only understand, but I appreciate the fact of not wanting to tear a roof off a customer’s house when there is high probability of rain in the forecast. The issues I had with Best Choice Roofing are as follows:Scheduled installation date 1: No time of arrival given from previous notification date, that day the installation was a no call / no show and when I called the office to ask what the situation was, I was told there had been weather delays and that the crew would arrive the next week.Scheduled installation date 2: Again, no time of expected arrival given and again, no call/no show. I called the office again to find out what the situation was and was told the same thing there had been weather delays. I asked the person I was on the phone with, shouldn’t this have been something that was known yesterday and that a call would have been appreciated to let me know.Scheduled installation date 3: I was called by the office to let me know again of weather delays but this time it was 2 days before the scheduled installation date. I said no problem I understand these things and was appreciative of actually getting a phone call. They said that they would be coming the following week. We decided to leave town on the Thursday prior, to go visit family since the installation had been delayed until the following week. We left early that morning and got about 3 hours from the house, and I received a phone call stating the crew was on their way to do the installation. I asked, “I thought the installation had been cancelled due to weather?”. I was informed that the crew decided to work that day. I thought it would be better that I cancel my trip and return home, but since I was about halfway to my destination I decided to continue since I was told I was not needed to be at home.Once the work was completed, I checked on some things and noticed the shingles were not installed according to manufacturer’s instructions. My main concern was that if the manufacturer’s instructions are not followed, it voids the warranty. The shingle stick-out into the gutter was supposed to be no more than one half inch since drip edges were used. The shingles were sticking out over two inches in places. The gutter guards were very haphazardly reinstalled and created places where the shingles were sticking up creating a pyramid type effect. There were nails left on top of the roof, a few pieces of trash were left lying in the yard, and a terminator shingle nails were not sealed according to manufacturer’s instruction. A plant had been pulled out of the ground when a decorative trellis was moved.I called the office, and the representative I was working with, to advise them of the situation. I also asked about the insurance claim having the back shed on it to be done but was informed that since it was not on the contract, that too bad the shed would not be done. The second time someone came out to correct the deficiencies, this was the third no call/ no show. That Saturday was told to me earlier that week, on Monday. Due to their scheduling errors, it was the following Tuesday when the work was finally completed.Bottom line and in summary; very poor communication with the business and the associates at the Cookeville store. We found the CEOs telephone number on the BBB website, and it took calling him two times to get the corrections made. The fixes were finally made almost one month after the initial installation. I phoned the office, and the representative, Jaret, multiple times to get the items corrected, but every time it was always an excuse as to why it wasn’t their fault that the work was done poorly, the plant was pulled from the ground, that too bad it was not in the contract.Service: Roof installation

I initially was super impressed with best choices efforts to reach out to me, thinking they must be exceptional and looking for work. My initial encounter was fine as well as the estimate, although a little pricey. I was told three different times on Friday, They would be here they never showed. Showed up without warning on Saturday. Ask me what they were supposed to do about the roof and my chimney when he got here. And then left for four hours with all the supplies and tools in my yard and on my roof. They returned that day with the promised they would finish the job on the next day never heard from them on Sunday showed up on Monday to finish the job with an inspection to follow up. I was told that the job was done and then on Tuesday evening, they arrived again, saying they needed to finish some things up, in total, I had four arrivals without notice and two promises of their return that were not fulfilled until the next day. The company did not feel that this was enough to give me any sort of discount. I would not recommend these people to anyone. They are a very professional company, they make you feel important about your problem on your home. They keep in contact with you to let you know what is going on and if there are any delays in getting your roof done. This was a very good job and was done with quality materials and done in a timely manner, these guys done a great job, cleaned up afterwards and then came back and done an inspection of the roof to make sure that everything was looking good and laid down the way it's supposed to no nails sticking up and all caulking of nails were done. Update: they did send someone back to pick up trash, they have apologized about the tracks left in my yard and the nails. When they came to pick up the trash they did complete another walk around and check for more trash and other roofing items. I am appreciative that they did come and clean up just wish it was a little sooner.Previous: The roof looks good. However, when they came to work on the roof they drove all through my yard and tore it up, they left trash on top of my house in the gutters, they didn’t finish in one day (which is fine) but then didn’t come back until 2 days later, there were roof nails left in my yard that my dogs could have easily stepped on.Services: Roof repair, Roof installation
