You don't want Cornerstone Builders in your house. I used them after 2 of our homes were damaged by the tornado that hit Putnam County in 2020. Instead of the main guy, Dennis, and a good crew, I was sent his father, Jim, and some extras who weren't busy with other stuff. Jim, though the patriarch of the family and founder of the business, was very unprofessional and sloppy. I had problems from day-1 with him spitting on my floors, having a generally unprofessional attitude, etc. Several times I started to just fire them and go with someone else... but I really wanted my houses restored and the bigger construction companies were tied up with other tornado victims' projects. The tornado was bad, an F4. Anyway, I put up with Jim's antics until the end, almost six months. Once, I had a flooring company threaten to put a lien against one of my houses because Jim was refusing to pay them for the flooring he contracted them to do. Went through a lot of drama over that! until he finally paid them from the funds I'd already paid him. I found out later that he was also reusing old stuff, like studs and other materials that were already in the houses... but charging me with new. I'll spare you all with every detail of my experience with Cornerstone Builders, but suffice it to say that I was grossly overcharged for the quality of work that I got. To this very day I'm still having problems with some stuff, like drywall tape coming loose, cracks reappearing under my foundation (that they supposedly took care of), etc. I would certainly NOT recommend this company for anything big. For small projects, yes they are OK. Oh, and the one other review they have, from a lady named Sheila Bush, the glowing review? Sheila is Dennis's wife! They were courting when she posted that review. Take it from me: stay away from Cornerstone Builders. There are better companies in Putnam County.
