We had a 6 foot wood privacy fence installed a little over a year ago by these guys. I can’t say enough great things about the whole process! Big John is a super smart guy who made our challenging and steep mountain backyard job look easy to tackle. My dog and I are so happy to now have a yard to play in! I’m so glad we hired them and also that it still looks amazing!

We had a pole barn shed built. First off big thanks to randy and chris and cella for pushing to finish it. Had a couple issues and Big John came out himself and fixed them all. Big John is a super nice guy guy. He comes back if you have any issues. A man of his word.

These 5 stars goes to Randy Kimble and Chris. They came into a mess to fix but they new what they were doing. Was it easy for them, Absolutely not.But they never gave up. My husband and I had to have a redo of our back deck. We contacted Backyard Builders.John, the owner is a very customer oriented business owner and nice person! He puts the needs of customers first and John was always responsive to our calls and texts! John sent out an experienced, knowledgeable and skilled team to redo our deck. I’ve used Big John’s Backyard Builders for 2 projects so far. For the first project- Jason and his crew came out and tore out my existing 12x12 deck. Then framed and rebuilt a new one. The workmanship is very high quality. I am so pleased with their work. I will use them on future projects that I am planning. John is excellent to work with and I appreciate this wonderful company. For the second project- I was thrilled when Travis and his team started work on my fence repair. The end result was beautifully crafted and beyond anything I could have imagined. So grateful to backyard builders and John for their wonderful work!

Austin and Joe did a great job on our front porch remodel and rear deck resurfacing! They worked very efficiently. They cleaned up all the debris. Tony and Melissa Hopson did three projects for me, a new metal roof, a screened room over existing deck and decking over old concrete. Although the weather didn't always cooperate the project was completed in a timely manner. Tony had to configure a few workarounds which he did without hesitation, by taking old decking rails and transforming them into a small dog yard off the screened room and installing two small gates with materials we had on hand. I can highly recommend them, they were professional, polite and hard working. They answered all my questions and listened to any suggestions I had. I plan to use them again when I am ready to do my next project.

We hired Backyard Builders to construct our above ground pool deck. They did an amazing job! The first time we met, Brandon conceptualized our project, committed it to paper, and provided us with a free quote. Thereafter, his boss the company owner gave us a detailed written proposal including the timeline. Highly competent with a ready smile Brandon delivered a wonderful product. We couldn’t be happier with the results!! We have a super strong deck built with high quality materials and a design that blends right into our ridge and captures the view!! I highly recommend this company and would use them again!!

We had initally contracted the installation of deck stairs to Big John's backyard builders but due the scope of the project and timing, it got subcontracted to Austin ( Telko Construction). Austin was very friendly and helpful. There was a difference in design and final price due to changed design but Austin kept me informed why those changes were necessary . His price was very reasonable and the quality was great. He worked fast to get work done before the project deadline. I would highly recommend Big John Backyard builders and Austin from Telko Construction.

We just wanted to take a moment to tell you how much we appreciate our new deck. John and Brandon were so wonderful to work with. Brandon's work is thorough. We felt like he was working, as if he was working on his own home the whole time. He was great to give updates during inclement weather, even though we knew it was too snowy to work and so on. They both have been such a blessing to us and we couldn't be happier. We knew we wanted to extend our deck and but didn't know how to configure it. John's advice and vision from the very start was spot on and watching Brandon make that come true has been amazing. I've never seen a harder worker and cleaner work site!Everytime I look out the window, I'm blown away that this is our house.

I recd 4 estimates. Big John wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but he was the most realistic. I booked with him and my deck was complete within a month. Austin was the foreman and was responsive and professional. Very happy with the quality and workmanship.Oh, it only took 3 days once they started. Not a month to complete!

Tony was great to work with. I wanted a small wood shed behind my garage and had everything figured out. He called with an option of rotating it to give me more height and it was the best decision!! Brandon Spurlock headed up our project, a very specific design of a large pool deck, and he was incredible to work with. I am SO impressed with John and his crew. These are really good people who are great at what they do. They put up a wooden fence for me and it turned out better than I imagined. Kevin and Tonya headed up the crew that installed the fence and they were wonderful. They are professionals who know what they are doing. It was really nice having them around. They worked tirelessly..literally sun up to sun down. And they did an amazing job. We were also impressed with how quickly they put the fence up! They take great pride in their work, which was comforting because we knew we would be getting a fence that was done right! We will be doing additional home improvement projects in the future and will 100% be using Big Johns Backyard Builders.

Tony and his brother did a great job! They built a roof over our small concrete patio which now looks like it was always meant to be there. They also figured out how to stabilize the stairs leading to the backyard as well as turn them at the bottom to make it easier to access. Tony did a fantastic job of communicating with me every step of the way. They are booked up and it took awhile for them to get started but it was well worth the wait.

I was very excited to have my existing deck turned into a screened in porch but I'm so disappointed by this company's work. The crew that came would often work for 2 hrs a day (sometimes even less) which took this project forever to complete. The worst part is that the roof had a large leak because the new roof tiles were not correctly tied into the existing roof. Their response was to come put black tar in the roof valleys. This didn't work so instead of fixing the issue they can out and put even more tar on the valleys. The leak continued and I just had an outside company come and fix the leak which cost several thousand dollars. One of the screens has also come apart already. My request to speak to Big John have all been ignored. I have never left a negative review but have been completely distraught over the work that they did.
