Hunter Wilcox went above and beyond. The insurance company didn’t want to replace the roof from hail/wind damage. The insurance company wanted to patch the shingles with mismatched shingles. Hunter spoke to the insurance company and got a brand new roof approved! Then he sent an exception roofing crew who completed the roof quickly. They cleaned up and worked until sun down! If you need a roof, I would highly recommend this company! Great service and craftsmanship who get the job done promptly!

My wife and I had a really great experience having American Roofing Co. install our new roof. Hunter, Jordan and Logan were all responsive and easy to work with.Prior to working with American Roofing, my insurance had sent me a $75 check and said my roof didn't need replacement. After Hunter climbed onto the roof and took pictures, Jordan was able to write up her analysis, and in less than 24 hours my insurance company agreed that a new roof was necessary, and offered to pay 100%. Within a month and a half of starting the process we had a new roof.If I had it to do over, I would have worked with American Roofing from the beginning. They made the entire process of getting a new roof seamless and worry-free.

If there is anyone out there that is needing help in finding out if their roof,gutters,downspouts or just overall buildings that they own have been damaged by wind or hail and when it might have happened,you be well served to contact Billy Howlett at American Roofing in Kingsport Tennessee. Mr. Howlett is extremely well schooled pertaining to everything I mentioned above. There are many folks out there that are like myself that truly have no idea if our homes or any other buildings we might own have had damage or not due to weather or if and when it may have happened. If you might possibly have any type of leaks throughout your home or other buildings,you definitely would be well served by contacting Mr Howlett and having him take a look at your properties. He has been of great assistance to my wife and I in not only pointing out areas that we had issues,but also in helping us contact adjusters and being present when they came and discussed the issues with them,if there were any. He worked very well with the adjusters and was very professional and knowledgeable as were the adjusters. It made both myself and my wife feel that we were good hands with everyone involved. We also talked with other folks that Billy / American had assisted and done roofing for and saw nor heard anything negative. Good man and good company. 😊👍

American Roofing is in the area using a drone to show hail damage. The representative tells you the drone is free. After you see what appears to be damage, the representative asks you to sign a paper allowing American to deal with your insurance company. The paper has a disclaimer that you will owe money if you do not allow American to complete the reroofing if the claim is approved.I called my ins agent and explained this situation. He said my claim was filed and I should just wait until I heard from my company's inspector..which happened the next day. My insurance adjuster and an engineer inspected by climbing on the roof and determined there was no hail damage. Now I have a claim against my property with no pay out. I'm pretty sure this will be reflected in my next premiumAmerican Roofing did me a real disservice. BEWARE

I recently had the pleasure of working with American Roofing Company in Kingsport Tennessee ,I must say that my experience exceeded all expectations. David Simpson in particular, displayed an exemplary level of expertise, professionalism and dedication that truly sets this company apart.I was quite sure that this Roofing issue was going to become a major out of pocket expense.I had a roof replaced after the 2014 storms with 30 yr architectural shingles and 8 years in I suddenly have a leak in the sunroom. The company who put the roof on guarantees their work for 5 years and that puts me 3 years over the deadline.Fortunately David Simpson came out on a Sunday looked at the roof made pictures and brought a manager out with him to look at it and even tarped the roof to prevent further damage.David 's keen eye and presentation of evidence of hail damage occurring during our December storm and his persistence in asking for someone from my Insurance Compay to inspect the roof with him resulted in a denial being overturned .In conclusion my experience with American Roofing was exceptional and David Simpson communicated with me every detail from start to finish.If you ever find yourself looking for a roofing company look no further than American Roofing. Their service is outstanding and the entire crew displayed professionalism and respect for my property leaving the area clean and tidy.This company delivers results that are top-notch and employs individuals who care about their clients . They did the work when they promised. The work was acceptable. What I didn't like was that they gave me an initial quote for the job which we all agreed on and had a signed contract, but when the final bill came, they raised the amount of what the job cost by >$5000, (17K to >22K). At first they tried to blame it on poor calculation of the amount of shingles needed but ours is NOT a big or complicated house/roof and there was no way they could have been that far off with their initial calculation. I was supposed to get guttering done as well, but I can't do that now secondary to the increased amount American Roofing laid on their bill at the last minute. Everything was fine until that. I don't know this for sure but I would beware of their initial estimate for the job and expect a hefty increase in that price when all is said and done at the end of the job.So....based on American Roofing's reply, it sounds as if you would be perfectly happy then sticking with your original quote of 17K and that it was only the insurance company that increased the price >30% at the last minute. I'm happy then to just pay our original agreed upon price! I can get that amount right to you!Service: Roof repair

Edited again: WE HAVE ANOTHER LEAK. We’ve had more leaks than prior to replacing the roof. I am so unbelievably frustrated. Waiting on a return call. Our ceiling in the dining room is completely ruined from this leak now.Edited to add: in addition to the experience we posted earlier, our new roof started leaking a few months later. We’re waiting on a resolution. I’m hopeful they’ll repair the roof as well as repair the damage done to the ceiling and crown molding. Definitely wouldn’t recommend them now!It was an ok experience. The positive was that they worked with our insurance to get our roof covered so that was really great.The negatives were that we were initially told it would be a large crew and the project would be done in a day and it actually took 4 days. I guess one day they were doing more insurance work so it had to be put on hold but the other 2 days there were only 2-3 people the majority of the day and the second day there was only 1-2. The other major negative also was that they said they’d magnet sweep the yard after and they never did. We’ve got a magnet sweeper from my husbands work we had sitting out from where we did the area our kids play so I guess they assumed we would just do it all ourselves and there were nails and metal wiring all over our driveway/porch/yard. So that’s kind of a bummer!Service: Roof installation
