Model City Roofing (Kingsport, TN) came out to inspect the roof on a home we were considering for purchase. They noted that 50% of the shingles - while having been installed by another contractor less than 10 years earlier - were loose, as well as other issues. After purchasing the home, we decided to replace the roof, and hired Model City Roofing to do the job January 2024. Their team worked quickly, and though there were a few communication hiccups Jeremiah was good about responding to our questions. The roof was replaced shortly before a high wind event, and the Owens Corning shingles installed appear to have held up well. Additionally, we were able to take advantage of a marketing promotion from which we received a 65-inch TV!

I just recently had my roof replaced due to the storms and I spoke with many different roofers to get quotes. They had no flexibility I was able to speak with Derek and Jeremiah and they were phenomenal in working with me! They were carrying and aware that I was having financial issues, I'm disabled. I have very limited money only what the insurance company gave me. They were able to work things out for me so that I could pay them with the money that I had that the insurance company gave me, and they did an incredible job! I highly recommend Model City Roofing and the team was phenomenal as well they worked as a very cohesive and fast team and got everything accomplished in one day!!! Talk to them before you talk to anyone else because you're going to get the best deal the highest quality and an incredibly caring team!

Model city roofing is awesome! They gave a great experience. The quote was reasonable and they were able to get us on schedule quickly. The crew showed up bright and early to start their work. When I asked the crew to not damage my flowers/ flower beds they were very respectful of it. They worked quickly and efficiently.Their clean up work was spectacular! They did so well in cleaning up all the nails, staples and plastic roof tabs, yes we still find some here and there which is to be expected. but they did a fantastic job cleaning it all up. My parents were in town and even my dad who is very particular, was very impressed with their work.Highly recommend them! Very responsive, professional and great quality work. I didn't use them. So I can't really judge them? What I did not like, is that I left a message regarding gutters and chimney but they gave me ..and only gave me.. an estimate to replace the roof... and shingle roof,at that. VERY unprofessional, in my opinion. On top of this, when I had a 30 year metal roof put on, 10 years ago, they said shingles could not be put on, due the way it was built (in 1938).

Called bc I needed to get an estimate after some hail damage. Was told a drone would come out and be looking at my roof. I hadn't heard back from them so I called a week later to check in. Was told they would be out shortly. It's been months and I'm still waiting. Good thing I found someone else that was willing to come out.

I live in a quadplex and we just had a roof installed by Model City Roofing. They were efficient and the roof looks great. The reason for my negative review is I had an antique planter at the corner of the house, I had to leave for an hour and a half to run errands and when I came home the planter was shattered and the roofers were nowhere to be found. The planter was not in the way and was only broken due to carelessness; also during the day I noticed supplies such as shingles being laid on the hood of my Jeep. I absolutely would NOT recommend this company.

Derek never showed up for my roof inspection, nor did he call to tell me he wasn't coming. When I called and texted to find out what happened, they were very unprofessional. The person that answered the phone had extremely poor phone etiquette and should definitely not be answering the phone for a business!
