I had water line burst & flooded my house today. Robert was with the crew that came to help me. He was very concerned about all my stuff. He told me what they would do as they did it. He even took care of my cat! Such a hard worker. Showed he really liked his job. I'd hire him! Lol.

My Sister called Apex when a sprinkler froze and busted in her home. Kathy pain and i live in assisted living and didn't know what to do. When Robert came he made us feel like the problem with my wet belongs would be taken care of. He showed he cared about our stuff and worked hard to fix all the damage.We are thankful that they sent Robert, he was a pleasure to have in my home and would call him anytime I have an emergency in the future. We had to call Apex Restoration out to resolve a severe mold issue on a old house, Apex came out same day we called an told us exactly what was needed. They took pictures before they started so we knew exactly what we needed. The technician Robert Watson that performed all the work was very professional took into account that a cancer patient lived there so he adjusted his schedule as not to bother her, The completed job is amazing, looks brand new, could sleep under there now. If you need Apex Restoration DKI ask for Robert Watson, you will not be disappointed.

They provided updates twice a week leading up to the work and daily once the work started. Everything was completed as promised, the work was done well, and was completed within the timeline we agreed upon.

The employees were nice, but the company is a disaster. I had water damage from a failed bathtub drain. They responded immediately and began drying the water the next day. So far so good.From that point on all communication with them was confusing and unclear. I never knew when they would return, what the next step was, how much was owed, what insurance was covering, or even who to contact. By the end of the process I had phone numbers for SEVEN different Apex employees. Just give me one or two representatives.After initial cleanup, my living room floor was left dirty with drywall dust for weeks. I was told they would clean it, but they never did, even after the whole process was over. I also had to paint 2 walls of my living room myself because they didn't get insurance to cover painting all 4 walls, only 2. I'm not sure if that was my insurance's fault or theirs, but somebody dropped the ball.My whole house was also covered in dust from the ceiling repair, which was also not cleaned.Overall the process took 2 months while I had a gaping hole in my living room ceiling. My insurance was charged almost $6,000, even though material costs could not have been more than $1,000. It was just 2 or 3 drywall panels, some ceiling texture, a few gallons of paint, some miscellaneous materials, plus whatever depreciation they calculate for running their dehumidifier machine. The rest was labor.In the end I ended up signing the "good job now leave me alone" papers because the stress they were causing me was not worth fixing any additional problems.Overall the quality of the work was actually good minus the dust everywhere, but the whole process was slow, miserable, and confusing.

My experience with Apex DKI was TERRIBLE! This is the worst company I’ve ever done business with. The first part of the process with the mitigation team was good, they showed up quickly and took care of the water leak, assured me they were there for me and could help me put my house back together (new floors throughout the downstairs, new cabinets, countertops, backsplash). It took 5 months, with weeks and weeks of no work being done, terrible communication. I felt like I had to manage my own project. I walked downstairs at one point and they were ripping up the new floor that had just been installed, no one communicated to me that the refrigerator wasn’t connected right and caused another leak. I also discovered their mark-up is about 60%, I ended up taking over my countertops because they marked the price up from $1500 actual cost that I was quoted from a local supplier to $3540 that they wanted to charge me. That’s just not right in my opinion! They sent a contractor to my house that made very inappropriate comments to me as a female, and made a disaster out of the backsplash tile work. It was awful! I demanded a refund from Apex, hired my own contractor and it looks great now. Don’t use this company, hire your own contractor!

I cant understand why all these bad reviews. I have had a great experience with this company so far. John came out to do an estimate and was nothing but polite and professional. Has been very responsive so far. I had a crew come out to do the medigation (Robert and John) and they were nothing but pleasant, polite and professional. They cleaned up behind themselves and even went out of their way and taped up my leaky window as a favor. I even tried to tip them and they refused the tip. They are a preferred vendor with my insurance company (usaa) and now I know why. I would definitely recommend them in the future.

The WORST company in the restoration industry. DO NOT use this company or even work for them. You get terrible service because the employees are miserable from a bad work environment. The company turnover is astronomical and they have different subcontractors at every project due to low pay. RUN from this company and anything to do with them.

At the very beginning of the process of redoing my bathroom after a leak ruined my tile shower and bathroom floor, this company was great to work with. Jennifer Foust was exceptional. However, everything since her has been a mess. The demo was done without attention to detail: my subfloor was damaged in 2 places and I was not informed, the mud bed in my shower was damaged (offered to fix with a cheap solution - not correctly fixing it), my subfloor is still COVERED in concrete (I guess they didn't feel like getting all of it up), and my entire bathroom and everything in it was COVERED in dust and they didn't clean that up (part of demo is cleanup, no?). After the demo, it took 3 weeks to get someone to come out from DKI and quote redoing everything. The quote lady, who I will not name, did not listen when we told her what all needed to be done. She took it upon herself to decide what "really" needed to be replaced or redone (the mud bed I mentioned above), so we did not get back what we could have from insurance. Once I made her understand the mud bed HAD to be replaced, she said she would call my insurance company that day and ask for that as well, and would be back out to requote the job. Six days go by and I hear nothing, I texted her and asked for an update, no response. Texted her again two days later and finally received a response stating that I was responsible for working with my insurance company going forward. I basically had to beg for a response when the last I heard, she was handling this. It has been almost THREE MONTHS since the first time someone from DKI came out to my house. Done with this company. And I read through all of the other terrible reviews and believe every single one of them. I'm sure this review will also get a comment from the owner about them not being able to find my name in their system and me being a competitor and blah blah blah. Save yourself and your time and do not use this company.

I am really impressed with Apex Restoration DKI - Knoxville. Chris responded very quickly to my request for an estimate for work needed in my crawl space. He was professional, congenial and very detailed in his explanation of the problems with my crawl space and what remedies are necessary. You can not go wrong by choosing Apex Restoration for all your disaster, recovery and remediation needs.

Don’t use RUN AWAY had a small leak no big deal I call them he says they can dry it out. Which they did kinda but didn’t dry under the bathtub. As they took out the tub caused massive leakage from the handle which they took off and didn’t but back. Worst of all they acted like it was no big deal as was going to charge me for there screw up. so another week of the house being flooded and of the house sounding like there’s a jet taking off call anyone but them please save your self the trouble I have delt with.

Unethical company. Just read the reviews. They won't be operating in a year. In the meantime, if your insurance carrier (USAA) mentions sending them to handle a claim, you would be wise to refuse to let them on your property.

Worst company ever. My friend had her place restored by them and the work performed was the worst that I have ever seen. Flooring, doors, structure, insulation, all workmanship was horrible and the worst I have ever seen. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!
