I had an appointment for after Christmas, but they had a spot opened up the week before. Jonah, Casey, and Jordan came and were able to finish the job in one day, in time for Christmas! They were professional and courteous. They went above and beyond in making sure the woodstove was functioning properly and started the first burn in it before they left.In addition to installing our woodstove, they also demolished our chimney that had cracks and was out of commission, and put the matching shingles over it to make a nice finish.A great Christmas gift, Thank you!

These people are craftsmen and experts in chimney and fireplace care. Casey did a beautiful job replacing loose, chipped, missing and failing mortar on our chimney and making our fireplace safe to use again. He and his team showed up when they said they would be here and worked hard all day, for three days. They were polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. Jonah was professional and patient, answering our questions and helping us figure our best repair options. The quality of work from these sweeps takes years of practice and training to achieve. Right from the start, it has been a pleasure working with this company. There was a quick response to my initial inquiry and they were able to come out to inspect our chimney promptly. Edited Review:After posting my review Ashbusters reached out to me and refunded my service cost. Ferdinand responded quickly and reported faulty equipment as the problem. I would use them again.Ferdinand came out to my house to inspect my chimney and clean. When he arrived, I asked if I needed to cover any of my furniture because there would be ash and he said no it would be fine. After leaving. I noticed there was ash everywhere even on my kitchen countertops. I expected that there would be and I wish he had just said there would be because I have drop cloths that I could have placed over the two chairs that sit very close to my fireplace, one of which is a cream colored chair. My basket of throws were right next to the fireplace. I could’ve easily moved those out of the room.So, if you use Ashbusters, I think they do a good job, but I siggedt covering any furniture next to the fireplace and moving out pillows and throws.Service: Stove & fireplace cleaning

This was our second experience with Ashbusters Chimney Service...the first involved chimney repair work several years ago; the second was the recent installation of 2 vertical panel sidewalls and 1 back wall on our 20 year old woodburning fireplace. Ferdinand was our installer and he couldn't have been more professional, timely and meticulous. So we think Ashbusters reliable and reasonable and think Ferdinand their best representative EVER.

Ashbusters has been fantastic to work with to correct fix a poorly installed chimney chase and other large, local company had done 1-1/2 ago. Immediately after the other company did their work, we suddenly had leaking inside out chimney anytime it rained. Jonah, Casey, Bob and Dameion with Ashbusters were all extremely professional, yet personable. They listened to the long story of what's been done, and made recommendations. They also explained the work that they were doing and never once acted irritated when I asked questions. They left the worksite the way they found it and communicated with me prior to arrival on the day of the job. It's raining today; day 1 after they completed the job and it's the first time in a year and a half that we haven't heard a loud dripping sound coming from inside the chimney. Thank you guys.I would highly recommend Ashbusters!

Casey and Sam spent the last week working a big job for us. It involved a new crown, chase covers, multiple specialty caps, flashing, and masonry work on two chimneys. This was on a high roof on some cold and windy days. Everything went smoothly, they were pleasant and explained things well, and the chimneys are beautiful!

I have never written a bad review about a business before. However, I feel it is necessary to share my experience with Ashbuster’s:We have been planning an installation of a gas fireplace with Ashbuster’s since July. There have been several accounts of miscommunication, technicians not showing up when scheduled, amongst many other troublesome experiences. It has been an incredibly unpleasant journey. We did have a chimney cap successfully installed. However, this occurred after an incorrectly sized cap was installed by Ashbusters. As of January (with still no progress made to our fireplace), we decided to stop going forward with Ashbuster’s. That being said, nearly everyone who worked for Ashbusters was very apologetic and kind.

Professional, courteous, knowledgeable service with the bonus of liking basset hounds! Tim did a great job cleaning and inspecting our chimney (Broadacreas subdivision in Powell), showed us the potential problem areas, and gave us a quote for the recommended repairs that we could live with. Looking forward to having the work completed and continuing to be a customer of Ashbusters in Knoxville.Update: Timmy and his apprentice, (Zach?) came as scheduled and did the repairs (including heat shield and new cap). They worked tirelessly until dusk (before DST ended!) and left us with a clean, safe chimney. I waited to post this update not because I had any hesitation about reaffirming my high recommendation, but because I wanted to include a "first fire" picture! We will definitely schedule for Timmy to come do our annual cleanings in the future.Second update: Timmy did our annual inspection June 1, and noticed a rather large "step crack" above our front door that we had totally missed when we bought the house 2 years ago. He came back July 9 to do the mortar repairs (there were also cracks some around the chimney) and install a new damper. As always, he was courteous, prompt, and efficient! Still gets a 5-star rating from us!

THE BEST SERVICE EVER! Tim and Jonah should receive a craftsmanship award! Very professional, very knowledgeable, and punctual! All reviews listed on their website is true! What we thought would take a week to fix in replacing all the mortar in our chimney, new crown, new flashing, installing new chimney cap, fixing the cricket was all completed in 3 days. They worked extremely hard - no down time! After completion, the cleanup job was unbelievable! Thank you for taking extra care of my property, deck and awning! And made new friends!

Absolutely perfect experience! Office staff went over and above to order parts needed for my repair and kept me updated the whole time. Ferdinand was awesome! He repaired the gas logs and correctly reinstalled the logs the builder had done incorrectly. He made the experience wonderful and I was so pleased with the outcome. We moved into a 1975 house in 2022 that was supposed to have an awesome (working) fireplace. We were devastated to find out that the fireplace and chimney needed tons of work to be safe to use.We called Ash Busters and they laid everything out, explained everything, and got us on their books. When the time came, Casey and Jonah were both excellent. You couldn't ask for more professional but friendly guys. Also, the work quality! The outside of our chimney looks brand new! Case did a great job and I can't recommend Ash Busters highly enough.

These gentlemen were on time and worked quickly to do the annual maintenance on our fireplace. We have a gas fireplace that is an older model from the late 1990s. It is clean, looks beautiful, and works great. They laid down matting while working on the fireplace and wore shoe booties to make sure that they kept my place free from debris.They also cleaned out our dryer vent which hadn't been cleaned for years with the home's previous owner. It was about 25% clogged and they cleaned it thoroughly.They answered all my questions and were helpful about our future prospects for updating our fireplace for something new as well. We highly recommend Ashbusters for your fireplace, chimney, and dryer vent cleaning needs.

Casey and Ian were fantastic!! They did great working repairing our chimney and matching the replacement brick to the original brick. They communicated extremely well, worked late on a Friday night and then showed up early the next week to work, left during a storm and came back after the storm to finish, working until 9 o’clock to get the job for me. Timmy was very professional and polite. I did not use the service because my definition of free estimate and theirs was different. I expected for Ashbusters to take a look at my chimney and tell me what it would take to fix it, not come out and give me an estimate for what the inspection would cost. Based on the information they collected when I set up the appointment, they could have told me the “inspection “ would cost $350. I could have saved them a trip.UPDATED REVIEW:I received a call on Wednesday from Timmy with Ashbusters. As you can imagine, I was concerned and surprised after my two star review. Timmy called to talk about how Ashbusters could have made my experience better and how they could improve their service. He was actually interested in what I had to say and we spoke for almost an hour. I believe that this company does exactly what they say. Their interest in providing excellent customer service and also improving the contact with their potential customers is remarkable, particularly now when good service is so hard to find. Be assured, if I decide to go forward with my chimney work, I will call Ashbusters.

My chimney needed major restoration work, not just for safety reasons but water getting in the house. Nearly all of the stones had to be grinded, reset and cleaned. Now my chimney looks like it was just built.Ashbusters sent several wonderful men out to help me.Timothy came out to inspect/estimate/recommend what I needed. He took the time to answer all my questions, kept in touch while financing was being worked out & checked back several days after the job was finished to make sure I was completely satisfied with everything. So glad he recommended the rain cap.Casey and Ferdinand were wonderful! Hard workers, very polite and extremely professional!!
