Despite the reply from the owner, Daniel Hood doesn’t stand behind his work. He thought the roof looked fine and treated my wife with disrespect when she questioned their work. What he says publicly contradicts his actions.

This company has been awful. They promised me a lifetime guarantee for their work on my roof and have been out to my house twice to fix my roof that was causing a large leak in my ceiling every time it rained.I can never get a gold of anyone by phone. They never return my calls. It took them 2 months to get back out to fix my roof the second time. And here I am now trying to contact them for the same leak, even worse before. Look at the attached pictures. These are from the continued leaking after they have been out here twice!!

Daniel and his team are great!! I contacted them for a roof and gutter replacement. Daniel, the owner and Harry came out on Sunday and gave us a quote for the full replacement. Harry explained the full process start to finish and what to expect. Price was very reasonable and affordable. Within three days, the job was scheduled, materials ordered and delivered and the job completed. I had an aging roof that I feared I needed to replace. I called Daniel Hood roofing and they sent out a rep named Mack right away. He was very nice and professional when he arrived with all of the gear and supplies needed to review my roof and the issues it had. He went onto the roof and took a video so he could show me exactly what he was seeing and could show me issues I did not even know I had. He then sat down with me and explained the process and steps they would take to ensure a high quality long lasting roof. My new roof looks great and the whole process was fast and easy. When trying to pick a company to do a roof replacement, it can be very overwhelming. We're so pleased that we decided to go with Daniel Hood Roofing. We were given a very detailed presentation regarding just what would happen, the products be used and the process. We were given about a two week lead time and we were scheduled for two weeks. The crew did an excellent job, they were professional and did an amazing clean-up job as well. The roof looks fantastic. We actually feel better protected from the elements compared to the cheap contractor grade roof we had before.Our gutters are in need of replacement simply because they're too small for the roof area and slope. We're already scheduled to have them replaced next week and getting excited about that now. I think we'll be the envy of the neighborhood. LOLAll in all, everything went remarkably smoothly and would recommend them. Please note, the customer should be dedicated to paying attention to all the details given about how the process works, timeline and above all- be respectful.UPDATED 06/07/2023:The rain gutters have been installed by a simple but amazing crew of two people. They were friendly and professional and did a perfectionists-type job and cleaned up the area very nicely.I want to give an awesome shout-out to Mason (our sales representative) who walked us through everything from initial estimate to the finished product. I contacted Daniel Hood Roofing on Sunday to inquire about a free inspection and estimate. I was called back to set up the appointment on Monday, and by Tuesday I had someone there to do the inspection and estimate. The woman I spoke to on the phone to setup the appointment was very friendly and she even made an effort to get someone out to my house despite me living outside their normal service area. On Tuesday, their salesman Clint arrived perfectly on time for our appointment and did an extremely thorough inspection of not only my roof but of the attic space and gave me an honest appraisal of the situation. He was knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and the service he provided for zero cost was invaluable. I ended up having to go with a different provider due to financial constraints, but I can say my impression of the company based on my experience with the inspection and sales process is that they are very professional and thorough and care about the quality of their work. They likely will quote you higher than some of the other roofers in town but if I had the extra money to spend I would hire them in a heartbeat simply because I could rest easy knowing I am in good hands.

Hood Roofing just completed our church roof with over 200 squares of roofing. The project manager, Brandon Brown and his roofing crew worked from dawn until past dark for over 7 days in temperatures down to 18 degrees and did and excellent job. Being a church, a committee decision was required to select a roofing company to perform the work. As a committee member, and as a spokesman for the committee, Daniel Hood Roofing provided exceptional service. They were honest, and available from their initial proposal through follow-up after work completion. It is refreshing to deal with such a professional organization that truly represents customer support. My personal experience with Daniel Hood Roofing was not a positive experience. With no hostility or disrespect, I will simply state my point of view. Scheduling for an estimate was super convenient. At appointment, young guy had a very "salesy" approach with a powerpoint presentation and narrated video of your roof. Owner showed up as well to check-in on new sales guy which was cool. Owner spoke of moving away and his new endeavors. Sales guy forgot to mention a few pertinent details and didn't have some visuals/products with him. Both guys spent alot of time with me during this appt. When the appt was over they did not leave me with any information we discussed - what so ever. No business cards, no estimate sheet, no product listing to show what they plan to use, not even the narrated video - nothing. Had I known this, I would have taken better notes. Because of this, young sales guy and VP guy came back out for 2nd visit. I expressed my concern for not receiving any details so VP typed up basic notes and emailed it to me. I still had to follow up with them on outstanding questions after that. I ended up with 2 appts, 3 sales guys, and was quoted higher than others but with the cheapest products that GAF makes. I am thankful I did my research and did not choose Daniel Hood Roofing.

Their prices were a little higher than some competitor's offers, but Brandon was the only one of them to take the time to speak to us both in person and explain everything that went into their pricing and break it down for us. He was very timely and responsive to all of our needs and questions, and advised us the best way possible. Brandon knows all of their products exceptionally well, and impressed us with his efforts. I can’t say enough about how wonderful this company is to work with. From the first second I called them to the last final inspection. Clint was the first person I contacted and he came to the house and did the first inspection. He was very professional and courteous. Then he gave me a quote very promptly. Christine who handles the insurance claim was always polite and cheerful and explained the claim process and answered my questions even when I would ask the same questions over and over. She never lost patience with me 😊 Brandon Brown was professional and prompt when he came to the house for the final inspection. He walked the property and made sure no materials or debris was left behind. Christine was very helpful in getting my full roof replaced. She went back and forth with our insurance company, as they only wanted to do a partial replacement. We were very satisfied with the timeliness, the crew that replaced our roof, and Christine always kept us informed of any updates. I would highly recommend Daniel Hood Roofing for your insurance jobs as Christine is very knowledgeable and has the same certifications as the adjusters for the insurance companies.

I contacted DH Roofing after my roof received storm damage, and asked him to come out and install a 10X10 foot tarp as perscribed by my insurance company, over the area of the roof leaking. When his team arrived they installed a 16x20 foot tarp and Daniel told me they would send the bill to my insurance company. I later found that they had charged my insurance company $1000 for a tarp. Next he told me a shingle study would be required, he then invoiced my insurance company for $500 for that. I called Daniel and told him that I could not afford, he said that only $250 went for the study and it would be paid by the insurance, and that I would not be responsible for the additional $250.When the study returned, Daniel had a conference with my insurance adjuster, but the two were unable to come to terms probably due to the fact their estimates of the damages were more than ten times apart. Daniel then suggested I hire a public adjuster, which I looked into but couldn't afford, he offered to make the basic repairs offered by my insurance company, but I told him that, I was not willing to do that and told him I would continue the negotiations with my insurer, to hopefully get a more reasonable offer.Since then I have not heard from DH Roofing, and never was given any invoice until today. When I received a letter from a third party with a Final Demand for Payment. I have yet to reach a settlement and the paper thin tarp was shredded not long after they installed it.I would highly recommend not contacting this contractor for your roofing needs.Service: Roof repair for storm & wind damage

Dan and Caleb were excellent to deal with. Pricing was excellent along with quality of product, customer service, and quality of installation. I had 4 quotes and went with DH for their reputation. I was not wrong. Roof replacement is messy. Caleb kept me calm through the ordeal. He was here to answer all my question and keep everyone working to a goal.
