We recently had Southern Builders do a major remodel of the exterior of our home including siding, porch renovations, gutters, and a new deck. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the work, the skill and attention to detail of the crew, and the quality of the materials provided. The job took much longer than we expected because of supply and shipping problems and delays beyond their control, but the results were definitely worth the wait. Charlie and his crew are the best. A special shout-out to Scott and Alicia who went above and beyond with their efforts to make everything exactly the way we wanted it. Five stars!

I had new siding and gutters put on, which was done very well! What stood out to me most though was Charlie's responsiveness during the quoting process. He took the time to explain all the options, show me examples, and answer all of my questions. Also, he let me know the night before when he couldn't make a morning appointment. I would highly recommend Southern Builders if you are looking for a roofing company that takes pride in their workmanship and cares about their customer’s experience. We couldn’t be more pleased with the installation and appearance of our new roof. The care the roofing team took with our lawn, plants and shrubbery was also appreciated. We used their siding team last year to replace wood shingles on our home — and because of the great work they did at that time, we had no hesitation about using them when we needed a new roof. Charlie Hutchison was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.

He was out the next day, gave me a quote, and had my new roof on by the third day. Very nice people I dealt with and the clean-up was exceptional. We had our siding and gutters replaced earlier this year in June 2019, so this review is several months post completion. Charlie won my business because of price and also because I felt he was trustworthy from the start.After getting several quotes and making a decision, I paid my deposit to get the siding ordered. The only concern during the whole process was between then and the job starting. We knew it was going to be a couple of months due to color we chose. Had some issues getting communication on job start date. But once we connected and his crew arrived , the job was finished in just a little over a week.We couldn’t be happier with the job the siding crew or the gutter crew did. We have only had a couple of very minor issues that were quickly and easily resolved. I’d recommend Southern Builders and Charlie Hutchinson to any of my friends or family.

The crew at Southern Builder did an excellent job of replacing the siding on our home. It was a big job. All I can say is that they exceeded expectation. I would highly recommend them for their detail work. The job was more complex and difficult, but Scott who was the onsite supervisor and his staff did a spectacular job. Thank you Charlie!

We had a roof replaced on our house and Southern Builders did the work on time and as promised. Charlie even went out of his way to help make special accommodations when it came to picking out a color/type of shingle. The crew worked quickly and cleaned up all of their debris. I would highly recommend them.

We tried twice to get a free estimate from thrm on siding replacement for a house. Both times, they were friendly and spoke kindly to me. However, the first time we contacted them, they pushed back the time they could go out twice, then told us they could not make it out at all. They were then recommended to us again (I didn't realize until later that it was the same company). They were again friendly, even willing to pull work together while on vacation, but that work never came. I have tried contacting them several times to check in, but I have not heard back. I let them know my time crunch, and they said they were willing to work within that. We have been able to get free quotes from two other businesses in the time that Southern Builders has dodged us.

Had windows installed 5 months ago. One window was missing a screen and the company had supply issues getting the missing screen. They took care of it after months of dealing with their supplier though. Overall, I would recommend.

Southern Builders was great....back in 1993 when they installed our vinyl windows.BUT SINCE then, have made SEVERAL PHONE CALLS AND ATTEMPTS to have them come back to our home(NOT FAR from Knoxville at all!) Not only di they schedule and not call when they do NOT SHOW, but sometimes they just don't return our calls! My advice: pay extra to go with someone who WILL FIX leaky seals, springs, locks, etc! Bad customer service!
