Professional, honest, timely, affordable, dependable, detail oriented. These are not words that come to mind when it comes to home remodeling. I would rather have my nails ripped out than dealing with contractors. In my opinion, the odds are about 50/50 you'll snag a good one. But with Woodruff Construction, these are mantras for their business!Both Kelley and Deana were an absolute pleasure to work with! From the initial consultation to finished projects, you could tell they really knew their stuff! We had a sun porch and fully finished basement project that was no easy task. But watching Kelley juggle these projects with his team and contractors was nothing short of amazing! He really has an eye for detail, and his follow up skills are impeccable!If there was an obstacle in the way, Kelley figured a way around it. As these projects went on, if there was a less expensive or better way to get to the same end goal, he brought it to our attention. In other words, both my husband and I had full and complete confidence in the quality of his work and the reliability to follow up without dropping a single detail.After four months, both projects were completed (which is the time frame he told us up front...and he was bound and determined to make good on his word!) and we could not be more delighted! (I also threw in some additional tweaks that needed to be performed and he still stuck to his time frame!)Finally, I now have a file of reliable contractors to help me with anything that could arise in my home. Kelley vets his contractors thoroughly, and anyone he hires must work to his standards or they will no longer work for him. Being that we are transplants to the Knoxville area, this will come in very handy, and we have used several of them to come back and do additional side jobs, and couldn't be more pleased with them.Oh, and one more thing, as a "parting gift" to show appreciation for our business, Kelley and Deana sent us a gift card for dinner at Flemming's Steak House and a kitchen towel embroidered with our dog on it. 9 years ago woodruff built an addition on our house that included a 6' x 6' walk in shower. Kelly said they usa a one piece shower oan that they had to be specially trained to install. After 9 years it was caving in and leaking. I am now tearing it out which revealed a 4' square pan and plywood around it. The composite pan was screwed directly to the floor joists and was caving in. My experience with Kelly is that he is clueless and a liar.

My wife and I own a modest home in the Rocky Hill area of West Knoxville. Woodruff construction remodeled the entire interior for us. I own a commercial fixture installation company and I knew the right way to do the project was to hire a professional. After interviewing several contractors we picked Woodruff based on the many excellent reviews, after meeting Deana and Kelley, we knew that they were the right company for us.From planning and designing to final finishes and clean up, Woodruff Construction exemplified professionalism. At our initial meeting Deana and Kelley came to our home and we spoke at length, going through the house together and talking about our goals. We received a thorough and honest quote almost immediately. We were thrilled with the process and decided to move forward. At the end of the remodel, we finished on time and budget with no hiccups of any kind. As an industry professional I know this is no accident. Woodruff Construction is a great company with talented and friendly staff that anyone would welcome into their home. Everyone was more than helpful with our special requests, from preserving original built-in cabinetry at great pain to providing updated financial reports to soothe our fears about the budget. Special thanks to Matt, JR, Sharon and everyone else that made the process so efficient and stress free. We absolutely love our new home and I would recommend Woodruff to everyone. My wife and I did not think we could afford this quality of service or amenities in our smaller older home but we were wrong.

We have just completed yet two more projects with Woodruff Construction and we are over the moon happy!! They did tongue in groove ceilings on our front porch and screened in porch, wrapped our front porch columns and had all the wood stained. The final portion was this weekend when Kelly Woodruff installed a full glas door going from our kitchen to the screen porch. He is amazing! The old door never had a good seal and this one is perfect! We won't have a cool breeze in the winter anymore!! Woodruff has done many projects for us from a complete master en suite to a door and we could not be happier! They are always on time, professional, very clean and tidy and make the project as seamless as possible!

We had Kelley Woodruff with Woodruff Construction, LLC do a complete master bedroom/bathroom remodel which was down to the bare studs. The job totaled just over $25,000 in labor and rough construction materials. Overall, I was disappointed with the project. His team installed a travertine shower, yet they were not able to install a shelf in the shower that was symmetrical with the tile. Asking him to just remove the shelf so the tile could line up correctly came down to an argument. But worse, we had the work inspected when selling the home and 2 items didn't pass inspection. One was their electrical work and the other was related to the fact that they vented a very large shower into the attic instead of adding the necessary ductwork to route the moist air outside. When asked if he can make the changes to make his work pass inspection, Kelley asked for more money. I would have expected anyone taking on a $25,000+ job to at least pass inspection. Not only that, but Kelley has a very negative attitude towards his customers. He accused us of being "ugly" for challenging him when his work don't pass a basic home inspection. I would suggest taking your business to someone that does work that will pass a home inspection.

Deana and Kelley were fantastic! I needed to have an exterior door replaced and they managed to have it all done within a week! What a pleasure! He arrived at the exact time he said he'd be here and it only took a few hours to replace everything- it looks like a brand new house with this new door! We'll be calling them in the future for some other projects! Thanks :)
