Avoid the company like the plague. They'll be quick to show up after a storm and show you how great they are. But then the process starts. I dealt with Greg Fitgerald in Somerset, KY. Comes in, gives you a brochure about the company and then he works with your insurance company. During our discussions, he never takes any notes. All he wants to know is what the insurance company is willing to pay. Next they were scheduled to do our roof and suddenly they were delayed. The roof was not done as we discussed. It was to have Ice N Water in the valleys and around the edges. As I was undergoing chemo, I told him the workers had not put it down even though it was delivered to the site. He said he'd forgot to tell them but not to worry it'd be handled. I doubt it was because they had already started putting down the shingles. Job was completed and there were some issues so I held back my part of the final payment till it was finished. Took another two months before it was done. Part of what was left was the warranty which At The Top had to send into GAF. That has never been done. Now, two years later this past June, I noticed a shingle completely deteriorated and almost gone. Called Mr. Fitzgerald and came by on July 13 and said he'd fix it in around 2 to 3 weeks. A month later I tried contacting him via emails, phone calls and texts without any response. Then I contacted the main office on September 12th, 2019 and talked to Marcus. He told me he'd have Mr. Fitzgerald come by and repair the shingle. I had left numerous emails and texts to Mr. Fitzgerald and finally on September 27, 2019, I asked if I needed to hire someone else to fix my roof. He came back with a tirade of emails some suggesting I needed to talk to GAF. On October 2, 2019, I called the main office again and talked to the other owner, Gary. Again I was promised the shingle would be repaired and then we discussed that they didn't do the paperwork for my warranty. Gary said that would also be handled. It is now November 13, 2019, and my roof hasn't been repaired. No calls from anyone from At The Top Restoration. So I have a roof that was supposed to be warrantied for 20 years and 5 years workmanship that has no warranty. My next option is with the BBB in both Kentucky and Tennessee.

Had my roof replaced by At The Top about 7 years ago. A shingle came unglued (lower half of the shingle detached and fell off roof) in 2021 which was an issue with the shingle, not the workmanship, and they sent someone out to replace the defective shingle. Another shingle came unglued a couple months ago and while I've tried to email, call and message the company on Facebook they have completely ignored me. I'm speculating the company has gone out of business because their phone numbers both say the voicemail is full and it automatically disconnects me. Someone has replied to my Facebook messages but they won't answer my questions and just keep telling me to call the phone numbers that are never answered. Very strange and unprofessional behavior if they are in fact still doing business.Service: Roof installation

At the Top Restoration came out after a huge wind storm and replaced my damaged deck. The representative Worked through our insurance company & got it all approved! Great job! Workers were on time & built a beautiful deck. Good cleanup. No issues. I would refer them to anyone that needs any decks, roofing, or gutters.

I have always been leery of dealing with contractors and have never written a review previously but my experience with At the Top Restorations far exceeded my expectations. From the office staff, sales people, project manager to the crews, the communication was great and I was kept apprised of the status on my job on a proactive basis but, ultimately, a contractor is judged on the end result. Both my wife and I are extremely pleased with the result and we highly recommend At the Top Restorations.

Poor communication, predatory biz practices and they didn't even pull the plastic off the shingles when they replaced my entire roof. When the first wind storm came around most of my shingles came off. They charged my insurance company for replacing my gutters but never did and got paid. The work started immediately after my insurance company approved it and it was completed the same day. Everyone there is very professional and knowledgeable. I can only suppose that At the Top is a reputable company, but the sales droid who visited my job site should be kept at a desk job.Droid seemed skeptical and uninformed about stone chimney leak repair. Said he thought that anyone would be "afraid to touch it".Droid didn't mention repointing or water repellant until I asked. Droid just pointed up at the chimney and proclaimed that rocks seemed to have come loose and were lying on the roof deck. No, droid... the rocks are part of the chimney, purpously built to overlap the deck, made that way 40 years ago!Droid didn't bother to actually inspect or measure anything, but glibly quoted $450 for a two-piece metal cap with caulk.Droid quoted $1000 (!) for a couple of hours and supplies for minor recaulking shingles around stone, (which another roofer previously inspected and said was fine).When I justifiably asked why so expensive, droid got defensive, whining that it costs $175 for the crew to even leave the shop. When I asked how much for the labor portion, droid walked off in a huff, saying he wan't going to argue.Gee, droid. I only asked. I was not arguing. As droid walked away, I loudly said: ---> "Very unprofessional. Thank you for your time!" <--I concluded by telling droid that I had a first bid from a company which was totally confident about the job. The firstcompany warned me against letting someone just put a band-aid on this project.After droid left, the third and final job bidder showed up, put up a 40' ladder, and climbed all over the top of the chimney, inspecting and taking pictures. Very professional.Good luck. Your mileage may vary.
