My wife and I purchased our 1978 house in 2016 and very little had ever been done to it, so it needed some major renovations. Over the course of the last seven and a half years we’ve made several upgrades and used a few different companies but settled on one in particular who had high reviews and boasted of having over 35 years of experience. Plus, the company’s namesake seems like a really great guy. So, we hired them and the first project went great, but their professionalism and quality gradually decreased with each additional job. It finally got to the point where I was becoming leery about hiring them again but just figured all construction companies are probably like that and maybe I was just expecting too much.Then late last year we had a severely blocked pipe in the slab that also caused some water damage. To fix it right, and also to upgrade our floors, was going to be a big, expensive job. With some hesitation I called our old contractor and spoke to the owner. He was still the same old likable and personable guy as before and said that he would have his son-in-law, who is the person we always worked with before, give me a call later that day. Well, I never got the call and decided to take that as a sign. So, I went back to the internet and found Homeway Construction. I set up a meeting at our home to review the job and was surprised to discover that one of the owners, Rowdy, showed up. He was laid back, but professional, knowledgeable, and seemed like a good dude. We set up a follow up appointment to get further into the details of the job and this time the other owner, Tiger, and their manager, Jessica, showed up. I was super impressed with Tiger’s knowledge of construction. This guy looks like he used to be in a band but then decided to become an engineer. And you can tell in about 60 seconds of talking to him that he is extremely intelligent (I later found out that he helped design and build the Bass Pro Pyramid “free standing” elevator). Impressed by Tiger’s and Jessica’s attitude and professionalism we signed them up for job and never regretted it. Homeway reached out to our insurance adjuster and coordinated the job with her, and our plumber. Then, they were actually early on day one of construction! That’s when I got to meet Mike, his brother, and their crews. Once again, I was impressed. They were professional, respectful, laid back, down to earth, and great at their jobs.Jessica and Mike were a pleasure to work with. She was available and communicative, and they both addressed any questions, requests, or concerns that we had. You could tell that they actually cared about doing a good job. I am incredibly thankful that my old contractor didn’t call me back because there’s no way I’d be this happy with the experience or the results. Everything turned out great. Not only will I use Homeway from here on out, I’ll recommend them to friends and family. They’re great people doing great work. Sorry for the long review, but I just can’t say enough about Homeway.

I would like to thank Homeway Construction and Eddie Kimmons for the awesome job that they did on my bathroom. They had to rebuild the bathroom from the sub flooring up. Eddie Kimmons did a professional job and got it completed in a timley mannor. My bathroom has never looked so good I will recommend them on any future projects. I gave Eddie permission to do it the way he thought would look the best. He did not disappoint.

We had a kitchen remodel done by Homeway Construction and were more than pleased! From beginning to end, Rowdy, Ernesto and all of their crews were professional, kind and did great work. We told Rowdy what our kitchen was missing and he came up with creative ways to address them, including pull out shelves, a coffee maker shelf in the cabinet, a spice cabinet and soft close drawers and cabinets. 10/10 would recommend Homeway to all our friends and family!

After experiencing a pipe burst from the snowstorm, I reached out to Homeway for help, and I couldn't be more impressed with their prompt response.Not only did Homeway quickly respond to my call on a Sunday, but they wasted no time in starting the necessary repairs first thing Monday morning. Throughout the entire week, their team worked diligently to ensure my house was taken care of, leaving no stone unturned.One aspect that truly stood out to me was their commitment to cleanliness. We had some water damage in our home on the evening of Aug 11, 2023. Smith Plumbing, who still does weekend calls, came out to find the source of water damage. Homeway Construction was recommended for the ceiling and floor repairs. I had never heard of them, but I am glad I have now. Rowdy, the owner called us shortly after the plumber finished that evening and was at our house within an hour. He started the dehumidifiers and got his team to work asap. If it wasn’t for Erica & Jessica (office) staying on top of my insurance company I would still be living on cold concrete floors.I could go on and on with high praises about Homewood Construction and Restoration AND all the members of the team (office & field) that responded to our needs. From moving my furniture to a very clean POD they had parked in our driveway, the demolition, restructuring & laying my new wood floors, new trim where needed, painting & they sent in a cleaning team for the finishing touches. They placed my furniture where it belonged.I do have more plans of remodeling in the near future and Homeway will be my company of choice.I really feel that we made a good choice with Homeway Construction & Restoration and new friends. I highly recommend them.

Alan and his Homeway crew saved the day when a new upstairs bathroom leaked and damaged the ceiling and hardwood floor in the bedroom below. We didn't actually notice the hardwood floor damage until Homeway's crew pointed it out to us. Homeway did an outstanding job repairing the ceiling and replacing the damaged hardwood. We were especially impressed with the effort taken to protect the rest of the house while making the repairs. Thanks, Homeway.

Even through the snow that hit the Mid South they still came out daily to change on our moisture levels! Homeway came to my home to assess the damage that had been done due to my home flooding. Unfortunately it was more than I could afford. The serviceman was so kind and he explained that they could not just vacuum up the water and leave but they would work with me when I am able to get it done. I thanked him and his entire team because they were unlike anyone that had ever done work for me. They left and about 10 minutes later he came back and said he explained my situation to his boss and they decided to do it No Charge!! Awesome,Compassionate,Professional yet Caring! What should have been a 1 month job turned into 5 months. There were multiple no call/no show scenarios even after appointments were scheduled to complete the job. No communication was initiated on their end. I had to follow up due to poor and/or no communication from them. There were even times when I felt that my concerns were dismissed or just fell upon deaf ears. Mistakes were made that could have been avoided due to inconsiderate actions of the company. I am very displeased with the way that I was ignored during this process and was only acknowledged after I had to strongly express my dislikes of the way I had been treated only to be pegged as a difficult client. If I had not raised a stink about it, the project would have taken even longer. The issue for me is that it should not have taken my actions to keep or get the ball rolling again. In addition, my biggest issue is that I settled for what I got and once they were done, they were quick to collect money even though it took 5 months to do a 1 month job. It was very inconsiderate of my time and the audacity to be only concerned about collecting your money was disheartening. The entire process for me was extremely stressful, frustrating, & exhausting. In the end, I felt like I had been gaslighted to believe that I should be pleased that they finally finished, but not that I was inconvenienced & that I was just “being difficult.” I cannot stress enough the fact that my experience was NOT a good experience & I will never use nor will I ever refer anyone to this company. Not once did I hear a formal apology from the owner, but of course you have gotten your money now so no need I am sure. I would say that this is a poor business practice. DO BETTER!

Rowdy and team did a great job at our house. We had a water leak at our dishwasher and I called them to take a look at the damage. They came out the same day, got everything dried out, and repaired all of the damaged immediately. We were back to normal in only a few weeks.

Homeway just redid our floors and we are absolutely obsessed. The 3 people I want to specifically call out is Juanito Lopez, Eddie Kimmons and Jessica Dooley.Our washer flooded our floors at 9pm , my wife called Homeway and Jessica answered. Jessica stayed on the phone with my wife for almost 2 hours calming her down. She didn't have to do that, she did it because she's been there before personally with her own house. She walked my wife through what to do immediately to remedy the situation.Eddie Kimmons was our project manager, after we got off the phone with Jessica Eddie showed up the next morning and walked us through the next few steps to mitigate the damage and then replace our floors. Eddie checked in with us everyday, he walked our house while the project was being done everyday. Any time there was an issue or question, we simply had to text or call Eddie and it was taken care of promptly.Juan Lopez actually replaced our floors and I can't say enough good things about him. It was just Juan and one other helper and they completely knocked it out of the park.Juan is super proud of his work and it shows. He and Eddie constantly communicated with us throughout the process. If Juan felt like there might be an issue with the floors, he brought it to our attention so that way we could stop and make a decision on how to proceed. He didn't just walk in and slap some hardwood down and leave.We also were living in the house as work was being done and we have a lot of animals, Juan never once complained or made us feel like a burden because we would have to rotate where the animals would be placed for their safety and Juan's safety. He and his helper cleaned up after themselves every single day and tried to make sure that our everyday lives wouldn't be impacted with supplies, tools or trash. They even took a tiny leaf blower and blew off my porch and walkway to clear it from debris .We will 100% be using Homeway again for any other work just from our experience from these 3 workers. We'd rather take a company that makes you feel seen, heard and important than anyone else.

I wish I could say no stars. This company is very unprofessional. I think these people are very races. My insurance company was willing to pay for the repairs and everything needed but, whomever this Jessica person is very rude and unprofessional. They came to get a mitigation check and said we didn't pay them for the repairs. How will we pay for repairs and our insurance company was paying them. They shouldn't even be in business. If you're black, I prefer not to use them.
