It wasn’t fun having water damage to our first floor but McCabe Construction made the restoration process go as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Everyone we came in contact with was professional, experienced and extremely helpful and responsive. Anything we wanted done or had questions about was accomplished. A shoutout to Maria and her team of packers and movers. They were wonderful with a “can do “ spirit! They made it clear they were here for us. As we are settled back into our house we could not be more pleased with the final results.

My home was a total and complete loss as a result of fire, and the water damage that occurred when the fire was being extinguished. One would-be contractor was so overcome with grief, he left shaking his head, never to return. However, when representatives from McCabe Construction Co. arrived, though sympathetic, they went right to work.I was blessed to be assigned Randle Whitmore as my project manager. He is warm, personable, professional, knowledgeable, responsive, has excellent communication skills, good at resolving issues that occur, committed to quality work and has strong leadership skills. Randle handled all dealings with the insurance company and he and his crew worked diligently, did excellent work, and cleaned up afterwards. He made the whole process as smooth as could be expected during a pandemic. Our home has been resurrected from the ground up, from ashes (literally). We are very pleased with the results and highly recommend McCabe for your restoration and construction needs.I even have a ditty about Randle:Randle, Randle, He’s your Man!If HE can’t do it, NO ONE CAN!

Avoid this company like the plague. They exploit people who are in tough places to collect insurance money. They replaced my roof three years ago and it STILL leaks. They are unresponsive. DJ McCabe stopped answering my calls and texts. My initial contact was in 2021, less than a year after the roof was replaced.The photo here shows leaks that persist around the chimney even after they "fixed" it. It took two years to get someone out to "fix" the chimney and it still leaks around the chimney. This was during a rain event and no snow was involved.

My house was my time didn’t have no courtesy to call now they said either give us the job or will not give you the estimate. I have even seen the estimate stay away from these people And do not go by some of these bogus good reviews that they pay people to give them a good review through Google

Maria and her crew of hard workers packed and moved all our contents with the same care they would give their own valuables. Not one item was missing or broken. A large tree fell on our house after a storm, impacting our primary bedroom, roof, windows, siding, etc. a few weeks before Christmas. We originally selected a different contractor who completely ghosted us after several meetings. We called McCabe back and they immediately met us and made up for all of the lost time from the disappearing contractor. Randle, specifically, always kept us informed of what to expect and had an amazing network of people to help us select new carpet, install new built-ins, and a lot more. All together the work took about 4.5 months but the outcome was phenomenal. Randle and his team are so knowledgeable, professional, and reliable - I'd recommend McCabe to anyone!Service: Home repairs

McCabe Construction was just amazing. I could not have been more pleased. We had a plumbing leak while out of town, and needed a lot of work. Our insurance company recommended DJ McCabe to us. He met with us several times in order for us to decide on the scope of the work. He gave the estimate to our insurance company, which was easily approved.Then he gave us a time schedule, and all worked like clock work. We had to move out and spent 25 days in a hotel. Needless to say, we were anxious to get back home. There were no delays. All his subs were extremely competent and personable. And they showed up on time!!! I highly recommend them. If you have an insurance job, particularly if you have high end finishes but really anyone -- stop searching and call these folks. They made a nightmare construction scenario turn a manageable and easy experience, as much as being displaced ever can be. I had the absolute blessing of working with Randle Whitmore as my project coordinator. He is a master of organization and kept me in the loop on the various trades people coming and going, scheduling, time line. He made himself so available to us as sometimes we had odd off hours needs or questions, I really just can't thank him enough for making such a hard time in our lives so bearable. Most importantly, the finished work was BEAUTIFUL. After our home flooded, the first company I spoke to told me I had to find my own movers, find my own storage, and to tell them when I had everything out and they could start. Randle showed up and took care of ALL of that -they have the movers, they store your stuff, and they coordinated it all with the insurance. I hope to not have any insurance claims in the future but I will use McCabe for any and all construction moving forward.

There is not enough space here for me to write about how incredible McCabe is, how amazing William, our Project Manager is, and everyone he subcontracted to rebuild the entirety of the inside of my house and chimney due to a house fire last January. Both inspector, Bobby Johnson and crew that did everything from damage removal, water removal, to packing and storing my personal things prior to the actual repairs that included replacing the floor, replacing the ceiling, repairing damage to walls and painting was done professionally, and in a timely manner. I tend to agree with mr Day in his bad review. These people have not a clue that they are only a contractor not the actual home owner! They argue everything, nickle and dime u of everything AND THEY ARE OBSESSED WITH THAT POWER THEY JUST SIMPLY WILL NEVER ANSWER YOU. Dustin Davis is an example of the type of bossy-arguing-not caring mentality of the company work ethics. Nightmare experience with McCabe! Get some other quotes before you let these people in your home.Response: There was never a secondary leak. I had people come out and check. I guess the secondary leak just fixed itself? Nobody is disputing billing I’m just letting my State Farm agent handle it bc I don’t want to argue with William about an imaginary secondary leak again. Thanks David for the sub par work and zero accountability! Are the electricians going to bring the track lighting screws back? They going to get paid for coming over here for 3 mins and taking my screws haha. Please get other quotes before you let these dishonest people in your home. If they mess up they will fabricate a story as to why it looks so bad. This company came at the recommendation of my insurance agency, so I expected quality. While the work they did was of good quality, the communication was extremely poor. The contractor in charge of the project would email me, then I would respond immediately, for him to not respond back for several weeks - and usually not until I emailed or called him again. He requested an entire day set aside for interior work. As someone who lives alone and gets only four days off a month, I set aside one of these days, only to be waiting around all day for the team to never show up. When I finally cooled off enough to call, he said he simply forgot about my house. I then set aside another entire day, for the project to only take three hours. Again, the quality of the work is good, but due to the horrendous communication skills, I will never use or recommend this company again. Getting responses is like pulling teeth, and then your project may or may not even get put on their calendar.

We have contacted the person that was assigned to us, to be the go between for us several times. The representative stated, was to busy, will get back to us soon. Our dishwasher is still not contact to an outlet, so that it can be used. When they remove the entire cabinet where it was connected. They either covered up the socket or removed it. The representative stated that they were told by my husband that the dish washer never worked. It must be the answer to why a socket is not needed for the dish washer since it was plugged in the wall before the cabinet was removed, I guess we should have let him use an extension cord and cut the cord an reconnect the wires as he suggested and place it behind the cabinet an plug the dishwasher up, in the extension cord.I also sent a picture of the socket in the bedroom that can not be used because of paint in it and it us not adjusted to be even with the wall. When you do not get a no response from a company that you trusted with your home. You have time to really look and notice the work that they have done for you. The walls in the den, as I explained to your representative, are warpped, because they were not measured correctly or mailed down and where the walls meet they are not flat but are sticking out like they were pushed together. We can not hang pictures on the wall because the bottom of the frames will be sticking out from the walls. The light switch is sticking out from the wall also. We have a stick holding the lock on the window to keep it closed, instead of it being fixed correctly. We are told we would be reimbursed for the floors that were not finished, has not happened. The floor board between the bathroom and the hall, was not fixed properly it comes up for the floor when you step on it and the is an hole from one side of the door to the other side. Where the carpets were attached to the floors the are nails holes from the bedroom to the halls. Since we are not important to your company and are not worthy. Never finished walls or floors in home. Or kitchen sink lost screw needed to hold faucet on falls off all the time. Never finished job.
