Some time ago we moved into a house with a Champion sunroom off the back which needed some work. I knew nothing about sunrooms but could tell by looking at mine that it was a special project - one that I didn’t want just anyone to work on. So I called a couple sunroom places and discovered that getting even them to work on these things is not easy. After a couple of strike outs, I called Shane and hit the jackpot. He knew everything about the room right down to the specs. He replaced the roof, put tile down for us, replaced a window, and installed a ceiling fan and a minisplit heat and a/c system. Needless to say, we love it. Shane was always helpful and knowledgeable and went the extra mile for us a couple times. I highly recommend him for any roofing project and certainly any sunroom work. Original review August or Sept. 2018The response to the initial inquiry about getting a quote was fast. The owner, Hyke "Nick" Holder, was a very pleasant man. He volunteers at a firehouse in Smyrna on the weekends. Out of the 4 quotes we got, he was the one who seemed to be the most reasonable. He was $150 cheaper than the lowest quote, but that was due to a "Marketing Discount" of $275 that was deducted from the total quote. We were told that this job was fairly straight forward and that it would only take one day to complete. He said that he would be present. That he avoided roofing jobs while he was at the firehouse.The service date was set for a Friday, and he said that they would be here about 6:45 AM. At about 8:30 PM the night before we get a call from Nick, and he stated that there was a delay, the crew would be here about 10:30 instead of 6:45 AM.Friday morning arrived but the crew didn't. At about 11:30 a handful of guys showed up to work. After they plugged in their microwave on my front porch and heated up their food, they sat in my neighbors yard on their shredded wicker furniture and ate lunch. Finally at 1:15 PM they started work.The tear down seemed routine. I took pictures as they worked so that if I had any questions I could use the picture to explain my thoughts. After they pulled everything off they began installing the drip edge. This was about 5 PM. Nick had finally showed up and my husband asked him about the drip edge installation, and we asked Nick to please use nails instead of staples to secure the drip edge. He assured us they would go back over it with nails and that they could "tuck" the felt up under the drip edge. Shortly later Nick left, and the crew remained to continue working. What was a one day job had now become a two day job. The crew ripped off all the drip edge, and left the mangled mess in the yard with the other materials. They got the felt laid, but that was about it.My husband called Nick that night, and got his voicemail. We asked about the drip edge, why was it ripped off and what was the plan for putting it on. (We got no response until Saturday night.)The next day the crew returned early and began to install the drip edge. They brought some new pieces and those were used on the rakes, where they could be seen. For the eaves they grabbed from the mangled pile in the lawn and straightened them out. After they got the edges on they began to shingle.In many spots it appeared that they only used 2 nails, and there were sections that they used shingles for a starter row. Overall, I was very unhappy with the work they did. When Nick finally called Saturday night, long after the work was complete we explained we had some issues to discuss. We arranged a time for him to come out when we could both be here.When he arrived we explained all our concerns. He and his two supervisors, none of which were present during the actual install, went up on the roof. They checked several shingles, all of which had the proper nails. The supervisor explained the way they installed the shingles and how I misunderstood what was done. The mangled drip edge that was barely attached to the eaves, and the starter row were both a concern. The following day one of his supervisors returned and corrected these issues.It has stormed since then and the roof is stable. I still have my doubts about the longevity of the roof. And while Nick has assured us that he will be able to fix any issues that arise, we have our doubts.Update 04/18/2019: High winds had caused some issues. After contacting Nick we got an immediate response. Next day he was up there and fixed it. It meant alot that he stood by his work. Review edited from 3 to 4 stars.

I highly recommend Roofing Renovation for their GAF product, quality, speed and customer focus. I worked with Nick and very pleased in his professionalism and communication. The process was smooth and with-out hick-up or set backs. We scheduled a date based on weather forecast. Material came in the day before work began. The roofing team got my 1,300 sq ft home completed in 1 day! The Team was friendly, focused and there quality and attention to detail was great. Shane was selected early on for my roofing project. We had trouble getting the insurance to cover the damage of our roof. Shane handled most of the insurance stuff and eventually the insurance company agreed that the roof needed replacement. Shane was excellent through the entire process. Once the job was approved. He kept us informed of the plans. They were always right on time. He took pictures of every step of the process to show it was being done correctly. The roof is beautiful. We couldn’t be more pleased with Shane and his team.

This Company replaced my roof decking and roofing. They also replaced my siding and installed new gutters. Roofing Renovations came out to replace our roof. We had them previously out to look at the roof when we first moved in to have them look it over and see what the condition was. We new we were going to have to replace the roof at some point due to wind and hail damage. Plus the age of it. Unfortunately it came sooner. We ended up having some leaking water in our attic area. Had roofing renovations come out and start the process. Was covered under insurance thankfully with a deductible out of pocket. The workers did a great job. Love the shingle color. Next week they are to start the repairs inside. Overall it’s been a smooth process. Roofing Renovations won my bid for a patio cover, and man am I glad they did. They made the entire process super easy for me and really took care of me. JR called if any changes happened which was much appreciated!! I have the worst time with most vendors being unresponsive, but JR called and texted frequently. They worked hard to get it completed, worked with my schedule if we needed to meet up, and it seems like they really did their best to make me a happy customer. PLUS THE PATIO COVER LOOKS AMAZING, I couldn't be happier. NOT ONLY did he care that it got completed, but he drove by the next day when there was a storm to make sure it didn't blow away- which it didn't, but my other shed did! Which shows great quality. There was a piece on the patio cover that the original vendor sold as damaged, but Roofing Renovations quality control is so great, they wouldn't allow it to be used. They said it would look bad- other vendors may have put it up and not cared too much. Thanks again RR!! I will definitely use them for anymore outdoor projects I have! ((I would post pictures but my backyard is a mess. I'll post pictures when Spring brings my yard back to life)).

He came out within the hour of my initial call and the repair was made the next morning. Seriously, less than 24 hours after the initial contact was made! My husband and I, a year later, hate our roof every day we come home and look at this mess. We got our house and was fixing it up. Called them up for a quote. There was storm damage on the roof so we were "lucky" to be able to have insurance help pay (we were not expecting this)."J" (the person who came out to talk with us from Roofing Renovations) was very helpful at the start. Came out saw the storm damage, came out again to talk with the adjuster. Said he would be out again when the roof was started to see if there was any more damage (which there was). Unfortunately for us he didn't show up again until after the horrible job was done.Let's just say our ignorance was their bliss because we didn't hover and after the roofers left my BIL told us they did not put the felt under the shingles in one spot so we called and they returned and fixed it. Then, we got to looking at all the roof and realized it was sagging awful and had dips all over it. Called J and he came out to look at the roof and said "the underlayment (whatever the plywood sheets are called) is thinner than code so we can get insurance to fix it". Then he measured again and saw that it was just old and worn down and told us it was up to code so there was nothing he could do. We were so upset.I then went up into the attic and found a huge water damage spot that I could see easily from my access (I had just had a baby so I didn't go past that) and found the information for the owner Nick and messaged him about the issues. He was quick to respond and went up into the attic and saw the damage and another spot which was noticable and got the roofers out again. (He told me the damage must not have been noticable from the outside, but it was literally falling apart and from pictures I took after they cut the sections out he was def not being honest) They fixed the two spots, but alas the roof still looked like a dippy do da -all day long.I then called Nick and spoke to him about how this roof was horrible. We were looking into fixing the aesthetic of the roof, not just bringing it up to code like he kept saying that it was.I then told Nick that since our 'very short' convos with J were us talking about how we wanted a nicer looking roof and he told us he was going to see the extent of what was needed for the roof damages the day of the roofers starting (then he never showed up) I thought it would be right for him to get the roof fixed properly and remove the shingles and fix the underlayment (with us paying for that part like we were anticipating that from the start) and then him eating the shingles redo. He was definitely not up for that.(I'm going to mention that Nick was giving me the sob story about how J (which is why I'm not using his real name) had a death in the family the week of our roof and how they were training someone to get some of the load off of him because he was being quite overworked. Then in the next sentence was telling me how the way things were done, the way I was saying things were done, we're not the way they do business and basically implying I was making things up. I do not know how he thinks J was doing his top notch work with a death in the family and being overworked, and I felt it very unprofessional to tell me this, in general; then tell me things were done appropriately.)So Nick came back with me with jacking up my roof (the part the underlayment sits on) a bit so that it would not sag as bad. My husband and I decided it was worth a shot and unfortunately if you've made it this far you know it did not work. It helped a little bit temporarily but as the roof sagged back down it now looks like it did before they did anything to try and "fix" the problems and I also ended up with a bunch of ceiling cracks from my roof settling back down which I was not anticipating.On top of everything else, while doing work in our bathroom, we found more holes where you can actually see the felt through them. Messaged Nick (I was not very nice and told him he should be embarrassed with what he put his name on) and nothing.Services: Gutter installation, Roof repair

Mr. Holder was respectful, kind and very knowledgeable about roof damage, the best materials, and working with insurance companies. He met the insurance appraiser at my home, walked through the inspection, making sure that the damage was documented to insure that the claim would be approved.
