Returned from a trip today and the company was working on the roof of the building our cars were parked in the lot of. One of our cars had a broken windshield and some other damage. There were shingles and nails all over the hood of my car, as well as plenty of scratches and some type of epoxy or something on the hood. Additionally my front bumper was knocked loose behind a sheet of plywood leaned against it, as well as dozens of nails around and under my car and tires.

They did great job on the roof but my only complaint is that there are nails that they did not pick up. I'm finding nails every day.

After getting insurance approval to replace my roof, of which, HE Parmer was my second estimate. Not only did they come right in at the insurance estimate, they were over 1500 dollars less expensive than my first company. They also offered the same warranty for over 1000 dollars less. They are both BBB members and have master certified roofers, of which the other company did not have the same qualifications. They arrived at the agreed upon time, did the roof with hand hammered nails in one day's time. They were great with clean up and overall it was a loud, but great experience. I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking a new roof.Service: Roof installation

I chose H E Parmer Co in 2015 to put a new roof on my home primarily for two reasons. First their reputation for quality work, second they hand drive every nail to ensure a proper job.Total satisfaction with the product, but I want to again relate why you should use them for your roof replacement. Recently noticed vent caps had raised up about an inch or more. Contacted Paul Shanes to see if any kind warranty would still be in effect. Since it was just a small item I did not expect anything could be done. It was not covered under warranty, but Paul had a man working in my area and was kind enough to have him come by my house and put some screws in the caps to make sure they were secure, I want to add at no cost. I doubt many if any roofing companies would do this kind of service after so many years.Do yourself a favor, if you need a roof replacement HE Parmer is the company to call.Service: Roof repair

I've used Paul Shanes and his crew twice now for some roof leaks and then some shingle and roof issues that came up on a buyer home inspection. Both times the guys were on time, professional, and diligent in their work. Literally everything you'd want in a roofing company, and I can't imagine ever using any other company. I also have quite a bit of phone anxiety, but calling and scheduling with Amy was always so quick and easy because she's so nice! Best of all, they're incredibly affordable. We have used H E Parmer roofers several times over many years, with nothing but a great experience. The first couple of times we hired them to help repair flashing and other issues from our home’s original roof (installed by a developer) that causes leaks during periods of strong wind and rain. The repairs were always done promptly, at a VERY competitive price, and by good people who communicated well and spent time reviewing details with us.Years later when a storm blew a couple shingles off our original roof (again, installed by a developer), H E Parmer quickly came to assess damage before investigating on our behalf to determine the shingles we had were no longer manufactured and that we should be entitled to an entire new roof via our insurance. We followed up with the insurance company, and sure enough H E Parmer was right! Their bid on the new roof project was again very competitive, and they very patiently walked us through the decision making process, leaving shingle samples nailed to our roof and also for us to flip through inside to make it easier to pick a final color choice. They did not try to upsell us and in fact helped us understand lower priced but very nice shingle designs would look great and fit within what our insurance company agreed to pay for the new roof. H E Parmer helped at every step as we worked with our HOA for approval of the roof replacement.The installation of the roof by H E Parmer was seamless, quick, and on-time, and all crew members were polite and respectful. They has laid plastic sheeting over items in our attic to protect our items (modest optional charge that was totally worth it). Afterward, it was so cool to see them using magnetic rollers to pick up all the fallen nails from removal of the old roof and installation of the new one. We maybe found at most a handful of stray nails outside over the next few weeks, which is pretty incredible considering the nature of the work. They even installed a solar attic fan for us, encouraging us to buy it directly instead of through them since it would be cheaper. Overall, we spent no more than a few hundred dollars out of pocket to get a fantastic looking roof. Our home looks much newer with the roof change, and we get compliments.We are very satisfied and now loyal H E Parmer customers! Their employees are nice, knowledgeable, experienced people who go out of their way and truly seem to care about customers, not just profit. Their work is top notch and very professional. Jeff Jackson at H.E. Parmer did an excellent job explaining the best way to replace our 20-year-old flat roof over the laundry room. The installers did a great job taking off the old roof and installing a new roof. The work was completed in a relatively short time; from ordering the roof to installation took about 5 weeks. We have used H.E. Parmer for years and appreciate the quality of their work.

Had some minor damage (3-4 shingles came loose) to my roof during a recent storm. Called some of the better known roofers in the Nashville area for estimates and recommendations. The feedback ranged from “you need a new roof” to having to file a product review with the manufacturer for defective shingles. I was also told I needed to get up on my roof and perform a temporary fix (cover the area with a tarp) until they could get me on the schedule. When H. E. Parmer sent Paul out there was no “the sky is falling” and Paul identified what needed to be done and made some recommendations. He then told me he helped me out and made a temporarily fix to my shingle problem with a few nails.I decided to hire H. E. Parmer for the work and they sent out a crew and accomplished a permanent fix to the shingle issue. They also did a complete inspection of the roof, identified and corrected nail pops, and ensured all of the boots around the vent pipes were in good shape. Short of storm damages, they made me feel good that I was not in need of a new roof anytime soon.I would highly recommend H.E. Parmer for your roofing needs.

This company completed repairs on my roof and it then leaked even more after their repairs. They came back 2 times and did not ever fix the leak. They then refused to return and told me they DO NOT GUARANTEE their work! I had water running down my wall and they would not return and complete their supposed repairs that I had paid $1,278 for. It leaked so much that I had to submit an insurance claim form and do some costly repairs. I then had to pay the $2,000 deductible for my homeowner's insurance. Run the other way! Do not use this company!

We have a 3-year-old house & the builders tried to save money by putting standard shingles on a section of the house with too low a pitch, so it leaked with every heavy rain. I got 2 estimates to replace that section with rolled roofing, from Parmer & a large competitor. Parmer's estimate was 25% lower & they did a good job. Only downside was that I needed to pester them a bit to get started on the job.
