Tech came out to fix a leaking connection. He tried for an hour. Left to go buy parts for an hour. Tried for another hour unsuccessfully to fix it. I received a bill for three total hours of work, one of which was spent away buying parts. I was told by the office they'd only consider knocking off that hour if I agreed to pursue another fix on the line (which is still not fixed, as they say it needs a pressure reducing valve). I did not pursue that additional fix. I do not agree with being charged the full hourly rate for an hour spent away from the worksite. I would not recommend using this company.

No call/no showed the 1st appt; rescheduled to come out for a consult as our rooms had vastly different temps and wanted to see what a solution would be and get a quote for the work. He adjusted an air vent and said there was a $140 trip charge. This was never disclosed when booking the appt or literally touching 1 vent. When we questioned them on not disclosing the price, got super rude and said they’d send us to collections if we didn’t pay it.Honestly a shady company with the worst customer service in Chattanooga. Save your time and call Superior or literally any another company.

They replaced a shower cartridge and didn’t check to make sure it worked before leaving. I had to call them back to correct the hand held that didn’t spray and they tried to charge me for the callback including a car charge. They reluctantly took off the charge but frustrating to work with.

For years I have had a personal problem with the draining system outside my condo, causing damage to the foundation. Jim figured it out, although the solution will require a lot of work. Still, he stayed with it, going under the pool deck and finding a faulty pipe that is surely causing the damage. I intend to schedule a time for MCS to return to repair the damage.

I've used them two times since moving to Signal Mountain. Once for gas lines and once for plumbing.Both times the work quality is mediocre but the prices are well above average.I will shop around the next time I need plumbing work!

They not only found and fixed our issues, they gave us a nice deal on the new parts we had to order. Rarely (and I mean very RARELY) have I found a company that provides such speedy service, professional contractors (and are just plain nice people) as Mountain City Service provides. These guys are super and they are also quite competent and responsive. Prices aren't 'cheap', but they are quite reasonable for the work undertaken. Be warned that if your work is not an emergency or not state contract you will not get efficient service. Called on a Monday for repair work and was given a Wednesday appointment. No plumber arrived on Wednesday. Called Thursday morning and was told either late Thursday or sometime Friday. No definite time was given. If the scheduler was more transparent regarding that my work was low priority I would've selected another plumber and not lost a week of time waiting for repair.

Scope: Replacing plumbing supply lines and leaking sewer piping.Received pricing and a verbal schedule of this should only take a day or two in late July. Plumber seemed competent and knowledge able. The work that has been performed to date looks quality.BUT it has been well over a month since giving approval to move forward on the project and work is only completed when I have called and asked for a schedule of completion every week. Then a day or half day of work is performed. State work is taking priority over home owner work is what I am told every time I call.

I called around 1:00 today needing someone to check out our plumbing because the kitchen sink was backing up and it was seemingly effecting the dishwasher as well, causing it to over flow and not run properly. Someone was here by around 2:30. He was nice as he could be and went above and beyond to help even though he doesn't work with appliances. He unclogged the kitchen sink and for now that seems to have fixed the issue with the dishwasher as well. Great, speedy service and reasonably priced.

Mountain City Service was amazing! They showed up on time and very professional! They fixed our issue after being told by another plumber it couldn’t be fixed! Mountain City Service was extremely reasonable, went above and beyond, and will be my go to place going forward! On top of that, they are extremely honest and trustworthy which is not always easy to find! I would highly highly recommend them!

My water heater started spewing water in the middle of the night and I called I don't even know how many places that claimed to be 24/7 but mountain city service were the only ones to not only answer but talk me thru shutting off my water and gas before getting off the phone. In the morning Gene came out and not only figured out my problem wasn't as bad as I thought but fixed it quickly and was one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure meeting in a while.

Our A/C stopped blowing cold air. I called Tuesday morning and a service tech arrived within 30 minutes. Within 20 minutes the tech isolated the problem to a bad capacitor on the outside condenser. They replaced it and they were on their way. I asked for an itemized bill/receipt. Total cost was $70 for labor and $135 for the capacitor. After they had left I looked up the cost of a new capacitor online and they run about $20 on the high end. I understand a markup on parts but 675% markup I do not understand, that is extremely high. I called a day later and received the explanation that the $135 is a flat rate cost to replace that item.I would recommend them on service and but I think next time I will attempt the diagnosis myself or have them diagnose and I will find the part myself and do the work to replace it.

After waking up in the middle of the night to the sound of running water, I discovered that one of the lines running to my water heater had split.I called Mountain City Service at exactly 8:00 am, and within 15 minutes I had a plumber on site to inspect the issue. Big Jim fixed the leak in the water line within an hour, and inspected the areas around water heater afterwards as preventative maintenance.
