Mark Martin replaced the roof and repaired/ expanded the driveway at our home. Initially he was very responsive and seemed quite nice. The roof leaked for a few months before he was able to get it repaired and in that time the leak stained my ceiling and wallpaper. One of his "solutions" was to remove a portion of my gutter guards, that did not resolve the problem and I ended up having to pay to have them repaired myself, despite repeated requests for him repair what he had torn up. Eventually he did get the leak stopped, but it took several months.The biggest problems came with the driveway. Our driveway had cracked over the culvert. Mark said the culvert was undersized causing the earth to wash away under the drive and that it would be replaced with a larger one. That did not happen. We came home the night the concrete was poured and saw the same culvert in place. When questioned about it he replied that he'd never told us that and that he said if it needed to be raised or lowered thats what he would have done. This was the first red flag.We also had Mark expand our driveway in the rear of the house. Mark recommended a guy to mark our irrigation system which we did. Mark did make us aware that some heads would need to be capped off as they would be covered by the concrete. What we did not know at the time was that he did not cap off the covered heads. He simply cut and abandoned the lines leaving open water lines under new concrete. Whats worse is that he cut 2 main lines and broke the main valve off. As soon as the water supply is turned on to the irrigation system water begins shooting out from under my driveway. No portion of my irrigation system is usable at this point.The dirt work his team did was horrible. Mark had his team cover the open ground with some sand, hay and grass seed. The ledges he left were so sharp that nothing would grow there. The yard looked terrible. Eventually I was able to get him to smooth the work and add sod, but this took many months of complaining.His team also left piles of concrete in my yard as well as my neighbors. This took several weeks of complaining before they cleaned up my neighbors yard. They never did clean mine.Mark has blocked my wife and I on social media and will not respond to our calls or texts. As others have said he was very attentive until he got our money (about $33,000.00) and simply forgot about us once he had it. BEWARE HE IS A SHYSTER!!!!!Services: Roof repair, Concrete pouring

We highly recommend Michael Dunson of Martin Construction for all your construction needs! Our daughter recently moved to Memphis, TN and needed a good contractor to help with home renovations. Michael Dunson of Martin Construction was prompt, efficient, professional, easy to get along and clearly knew what he was doing. You can tell he has a real passion for construction, didn’t cut corners and fixed problems the right way. He went above and beyond our expectations and his attention to detail was much appreciated! It was a boon that his specialty is also roof construction. We had multiple areas of the fascia board that were rotted/needed replacement and he even found problems that even our home inspector did not see! Even though some things were not initially on the contract (there was more rotted board than we had initially seen) he made sure to fix it correctly, rather patch over it as some other contractors would do. When he found a problem, he would point it out to us and he would fix it. The subcontractors he hired for the flooring and tiling were all quick, efficient and professional. We were able to have the outside of the home painted/roof repaired, have the flooring and tile put in-all finished within a couple weeks. During practically the whole time, Michael was present on site to make sure the workers were doing their job well and to answer any of our questions. Since we were trying to save on costs, we did our own electrical and paint, but Michael was always happy to assist and help us with any questions and gave us great tips as well! He was not the cheapest bid, but his bid was quite reasonable. Given the fact that he was so helpful with our painting, electrical and other projects (again, we were trying to keep costs low, so we did a lot of the renovations ourselves), we would say he was a bargain ! Thank you Michael for a job well done! We are SO PLEASED to have found a reliable, trustworthy and practical contractor. We have already recommended him to our neighbor and will continue to recommend him and Martin Construction to our family and friends!

Called upon this service for for my home when hurricane Elvis destroyed our roof over our laundry and coat room just off the living space causing flooding. We were serviced well by their electrician and given seasoned advice however the discounted shingles and roof repairs did not last resulting in our mud room ceiling, wall and original repairs to just begin rotting away. Due to the mold & flooding we were unable to return to our home. It pays to be an educated home buyer because not only can repair companies take advantage of you but so can insurance companies for deductions that are not required up front. Mark Martin and his crew remodeled our kitchen this past month. They did a fabulous job! From design input to practical considerations to inexpensive possibilities we hadn't considered to the actual demolition and construction itself, everything was top notch. The bid was realistic and the entire crew was wonderful - great professionals, respectful of us and our home, considerate in all ways. No one was ever out of sorts when we asked for something a little extra. The finishing work was lovely from the tile backsplash to the beautiful cabinets! I would recommend him for any job, AMAZING to work with!

Last January a pipe burst in my house, and the leak did extensive damage to my downstairs. Martin Construction repaired the damage, and I was extremely pleased with the job they did. Will worked hard to make sure everything went smoothly. He got the various workers out to my house when they needed to be there and helped me with my insurance company. Most days he came out to see how the work was going; if he couldn't be there in person, he would call and see if I needed anything. My house looks better than it did before the damage. Martin Construction re-roofed my home and painted the exterior. I had several bids and they offered the best pricing and always returned my calls. I am having them come out soon to add a pergola in my yard. Always on time! Thank You!Also, I personally know John Johnson. He is in collections with the company I work for. I highly doubt he is telling the truth on his review. He is a crook and a liar. John, if you would pay your bills you would get better customer service.

They replaced the railing on my extremely large tri-level deck and also replaced stairs last fall. Several boards are now warping and splitting, and the stairs are now shaking. I have called 4 times, once Bob Holland came and said that he and Mark would be back the next day and tell me what they would do to fix the problems. They haven't returned to my house or returned my calls. I am very disappointed with their service and quality of workmanship. I am considering contacting a lawyer.

Buyer Beware!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!I requested their services to determine why my chimney leaked and was told it was a simple repair. They did not do a thorough inspection and proceeded to take the easy way and applied a concrete sealer instead of tuck pointing. The sealer was applied to mortar washed brick and it looked horrible.Buyer Beware!!!!!! Do Not use this company.
