Layne Tech Roofing is an all around great company. Their workmanship and the quality of their roofs is second to none. Our two year old roof was damaged in the hail storms this year and after they were finished replacing it, it looked better than it did before the storm! Not only do they do phenomenal work, paying extra close attention to all areas of a roof that could cause issues down the road but, they are super efficient. The crew was done in a day and a half, from unloading materials to cleaning up and driving away. I have never had a job site left so clean. The crew protected my lawn ( which a was a huge plus for me) and continuously cleaned up their mess. The secretary was also EXTREAMLY helpful during the entire insurance process, I knew I was in good hands with them. Thank you Layne Tech, all of you, The Risters appreciate you and the amazing job you did. If you need a rood repaired I HIGHLY recommend giving Layne Tech a call, you will not be disappointed.

Layne Tech came out to replace our roof last week and we were very impressed with the crew they sent out. They were very professional and clean and our roof looks great. We loved Layne Tech Roofing when they did our original roof. They were impressive but we were just new homeowners. Our insurance claim covered our roof and a bunch of yard furniture, and a yard lamp post that were destroyed in the hailstorm. We never got an estimate from Lane Tech. He just said do not worry, just sign the insurance checks over to me and we will call it even. He took the extra money the insurance paid us as the deductible so we didn't pay a deductible the first time. Being naive We thought we were getting a great deal not having to pay a deductible.So here we are after about 13 years the first roof they did started rotten in the front and back along parts of our house where the underside or eve pieces were. We had fascia boards falling off in rotten clumps on our cars as we would pull out of the driveway. When I called Jay Layne the owner to ask what type of warranty there was on his company’s work, he said "We only cover our work for 6 years!" "Not 5 years but thats just another made up piece of info" Roof products are good for 20 to 25 years, but warranty from the roofer are only good for 6 years...hmmm.No problem though he says I will come out and look at what is going on. When he looked at the house, he went up and looked at the roof and around the house and said file a claim with your insurance company your roof is totaled from the last hailed storm we had. When I asked about the leaking damage that had obviously been happening for years, he said we will take care of that for you when we fix the roof for free. As he walked around he did the same thing he did the first time he pointed out how our decking was damaged, screens were broke he even checked our pool. Again, he was genuinely nice as we talked, and we asked him to send us an estimate (which we never received). He stood and chatted with us for a good hour and lead us to believe that he was going to take care us just like last time. He said I will fix the roof; you just sign over the checks from the insurance company when they come in. Well what fools we were. The roofers completed the roof. His workers were impressive, I even bought them all lunch because they worked so hard and did such an excellent job. He NEVER said this time you will have a deductible to pay. He lead us to believe everything was gonna be just like before. My wife and I used to recommend Layne Tech Roofing to all our friends and anyone where the topic came up. But my Daddy always taught me a man's only as good as his word, and Jay Lane just showed us his word is not worth spit! So, I cannot complain about the roofing work, we will see how it stands up to time this time. But I can complain about him keeping his word and how he does business. I most certainly replied to their email when they sent us an email asking for the first insurance check and a $1000 deductible check. I also spoke to Laren on the phone and explain our concern and why we were confused and upset. Furthermore because I posted a comment on Google to warn my neighbors Jay Lane called my house and had a bunch of choice words and insults for my wife and I. Then he ended by threatening to but a lean on our home because we are still waiting for the last check to arrive from the insurance company. A man's word is worth everything. He can post all the replies he wants about someone trying to ruin his company but I'm just try to educate new homeowners like us so they don't fall into the trap. It's just a bad way to do business!If you even think about doing business with this man do not sign anything till you read every word of what you sign. Second, make sure you get a full and complete estimate so you can compare to other roofers out there, there is a variety of roofers and good ones. Jay Lanye lost a customer for life.

They walked me through the process of getting a roof replaced, since I've never had to buy one before. They gave me 3 great options of how and what to replace my tar and gravel roof with. They didn't bat an eye at my roof leak issue over my sun room, they said, "Yep, we can fix all that" This roof looks sexy. All the other roofs around my house are jealous! 10 out of 10 would recommend.

That it the reason for the review... I called sometime in the first part of February, I spoke to a lady that was very nice, and polite. She explained that she took down my information, and someone would call to check on the roof. I waited until the end of February to call back, but there was no answer. I waited another week, and called back, still no answer. I left my name and number. It is now mid-March, and this response to the review is the only contact that has been had. I have found someone who will do the job this weekend, so there will be no reason for a follow-up.

Had roof / skylights replaced after hail storm. They messed up the measurements on a skylight and had a tarp flopping on the roof for about 4-5 weeks. Finally, got that replaced and then one of the skylights makes a whistling sound EVERY time the wind blows. Have been told at least 3 times they would get right out and fix it (2 years). this is worst roofing company in town. they did our roof and giving one year warranty. it was leaking so we called them back with in first month they never came back. and we paid for other roofing company to fix our roof after paying more then hundred thousand to this guy. please stay away from this company
