We found Phillips through word of mouth from a friend and I am so happy we went with them!!Consultation -- From the beginning, it was easy to schedule a time for a Project Consultant to visit our home. Manny was excellent! He walked us through what to expect as far as preparation, protection, and cleanup. He took the time to answer all of my questions (and I tend to ask a lot) and provided a quote before he left.Purchase / Booking / Scheduling -- Actually purchasing and booking was easy as well. We paid 50% up front and the rest after a thorough walk-through with our Project Manager. Scheduling was a little trickier, but we had two holidays to juggle, so we expected as much. While they were determining our project dates, the scheduling team had regular communication with us so that we stayed informed.Painting -- I was and still am so impressed with their work. The day before, our Project Manager, Daniel, reached out and confirmed the start time of the crew. On the day of, we first did a walk-through of the entire project scope with Daniel to ensure that we were all on the same page. We ended up wanting to add the removal of a floating shelf and a wall patch to our project, and Daniel provided an updated estimate.Once complete, Daniel discussed details with the crew lead while the team started to prep our space. They laid down project paper to protect the floors and then laid painting plastic as well (on furniture, fans/lights, and the floor too). They taped necessary areas and removed the outlet covers to ensure nice lines. They cleaned and sanded the walls to make sure the surface was ready for paint. (Far more than I would have done had I been doing the painting!)Our project was all walls, ceilings and trim that were not in a bedroom or a bathroom and took three days. We had a team of three painters and they worked from 8/830 am until around 6 pm (although they said they could end earlier if we wanted -- we opted for longer days).The crew was great! We work from home and hung out in one of the bedrooms to stay out of their way. They were so incredibly professional -- I just cannot say enough great things about them.After each day, Daniel came by and asked if we had any notes about the progress so far. Honestly, it went so well there wasn't a lot to discuss, but I appreciated that we had a way to communicate in case something did come up.I am so thankful that I hired a professional and found Phillips. From working with Manny to start and then Daniel taking over, the process was a breeze. The crew treated our home with the same care that they would treat their own. I highly recommend them for your future painting and home improvement needs!

From first contact to end of project working with Phillip's Home Improvement has been a great experience. The sales person was thorough, professional, and detailed. The project manager was professional and friendly. He always put my desires and satisfaction first. The painter and his lead were friendly, skilled, and patient answering any and every question I had. The work is impeccable. Where wood was replaced is not noticable. My front door was heavily weathered due to Southern exposure. This is my first experience with Phillips Home Improvement. Thomas Newsome, the project consultant, who met with me to help develop the scope of the project, was prompt, efficient, listened carefully to my intentions, provided additional questioning and details to consider, and provided a project estimate before leaving. He has also already promptly responded via text to another question I had. I feel confident the work to be done is recorded with enough detail that the incoming Project Manager will understand the scope of the project.

We just signed a contract with Phillips Painting to paint the exterior brick on our house. We have used them before to paint exterior wood trim. The also installed our gutters and downspouts.This time we have been very pleased with our sales rep, Ethan S. He was great as we finalized the contract details.My only concern was with Phillips Customer Experience team. They asked for our feedback via text, phone calls, and mail. I responded and gave input both via text and direct call. The same person still called twice after I had given him input.So far the scheduling process has been good. I am assuming the painting will be as good as I expect. I'll give a final review after the job is completed.

The roofer that replaced our roof 10+ years ago is no longer living. I contacted other roofing companies requesting assistance with a leak without success (if they didn’t install the roof, they wouldn’t help). I was referred to Phillips Home Improvements through a friend. Phillips Home Improvements were happy to schedule an appointment to access the issue and quickly scheduled an appointment to repair the problem. They were excellent communicators and very easy to work with every step of the way. I highly recommend this company.

We turned to Angie’s List to identify options for taking care of several home improvement projects we have. Phillips Home Improvement was one of the first to respond and ultimately we chose them for the job. When he came meet with us, Mitchell was professional, pleasant and patient as we talked out what we envisioned. He presented his written estimate in a timely fashion. Over the following ten days we met with several others to gather competing estimates. While Mitchell’s estimate wasn’t necessarily the least expensive (though still competitive), we asked him to meet with us to review the job one final time. His competence and flexibility, paired with the fact that he was never pushy, were assuring. He was able to refine and clearly articulate his final bid based on our walk through. Feeling good about it, we agreed to move forward with Phillip’s Home Improvement. We look forward to getting the work done with the next month.

I contracted with Phillips Home Improvement to have my house painted. I did not get estimates from other companies because my last paint job by Phillips lasted 16 years. When I contacted Phillips to get a current estimate, they sent their representative, Matt, to my house. He did a great job explaining their process for preparing the house for painting...protecting the brick and windows, cleaning the surfaces to be painted, caulking and thenpainting the surfaces...since my house is primarily brick...paint is needed on soffits, facia, trim, the chimney, the garage doors & a few other areas.Matt also explained the differences in the paint packages..."good, better, best." I ended up selecting the best paint package...and thought the price was reasonable and affordable. My HOA has to approve the paint color (which I'm handling with them) and then the paint process will be commence in the next couple weeks weather permitting. So far, my experience with the Phillips representative and company has been quite good.

Justo Martinez removed flashing around two skylights which were poorly installed 25 years ago by others. Rotten decking and skylight frame was removed. New structural support, decking, and leak barrier was included in repairs. Justo’s workmanship was excellent with great attention to detail, clear knowledge of structural requirements and flashing techniques of roofing. Justo took care protecting perimeter areas like gutters and cleaned up area as if it were his own home. I could not be more satisfied with the quality and workmanship. And, I received a courtesy call from yet another person to say they are booked for several weeks but will be in touch about scheduling. The painters were supposed to repair the walls around the windows caused by hanging curtains and blinds. In addition, they were supposed to paint and repair window boxes, window sills, hand rails for the staircase, and the ledges at the top of the stairs. There are several instances of the following:-failure to paint the bottom of the sills and the handrails- paint splatter on windows, walls, and floors- failure to repair the ledge and the handrails before paintingSee picturesAlso, they tried to leave without completing the work and actually tried to say the window in the entry wasn’tpart of the job.

I have been burned by several contract hires on my house the last few years so I went into this project terrified of another issue. I got four quotes on an exterior paint job trying to do my homework. Although Phillips was not the cheapest, I was most impressed by Ethan and the details of what he said their crew would do, in execution, products and clean up. I know it is a small part of the job, but the fact that they took the time to caulk all the way around every window was a big deal because others just did spot touch up. This spoke volumes to me because of the attention to detail and in my opinion, doing it correctly instead of cutting corners. If they took the time to do that, then they would do a great job on all of it. I am a perfectionist so I am not easy to please but they surpassed my expectations. Daniel and his crews were so nice and clearly knew what they were doing. I was in awe at the lengths they went to in order to protect areas that did not need to be painted and how amazing the areas that did need painted looked. It looks SO much better and you can see the quality of the products and the workmanship everywhere they painted. In addition, I usually have to clean up after contractors--it always drives me nuts that they could do the simplest of things to avoid making a mess. Phillips did such a good job of PREVENTING the messes to begin with and cleaning up every mess that could not be prevented. I am thrilled with the work they did and feel like my house is so much better protected from the elements. It was so nice to FINALLY have a contractor that met my very high expectations! I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you to Ethan, Daniel and the crew for making this a great experience.

We've gone with Phillips several times now for roofing inspection and repair, and they have consistently done quality, long-lasting work. The project team is responsive, and a special shout-out to the roofer. It's a hard job, and he does it well.Most recently, we saw some water penetration damage, and the team replaced the damaged decking and installed new flashing. Looks and performs great.

Had exterior carpentry work, paint and gutters replaced. Those guys did a fantastic job of making our visions for our home a reality. All of the staff was very patient while we made the decisions needed to complete the project. Rhey educated us about the decisions we made and offered suggestions to keep our newly painted home looking good after the job was complete.. The quality of work was phenominal and they cleaned up the jobsite well afterwards. 10/10 would use again.
