Why wait three years to write a review for the work done to my home by Level 1 General Construction? That's an easy answer. The reviews written the day after are going to be perfect. But what was the quality like after a few years of wear and tear?A single plank of my vinyl floor doesn't want to stay down! For those of you who know me, my sarcasm can get in the way of the truth.Consider this: After spending thousands of dollars on our nearly total home renovation three years ago this month, there is one plank of tile floor that is stubborn.Bottom line. You can be assured that Level 1 and their team will do the quality you want and expect. The cost is more than reasonable compared to other options. Is Todd the low-bidder? No. Is he the highest? No. Is he the most honest about what he says he will do for the cost he quotes? Absolutely. In fact, his team did more than I paid them for.One example. The few rooms we did not remodel they painted the cieling, walls, and closets, including removing the '70s popcorn without asking. When I asked how much that would cost me, they said, "We did it because it just wouldn't look right to leave part of the house unfinished." The cost - zero.

AN OUTSTANDING RENOVATION EXPERIENCE: LEVEL1®The Abstract:We contracted with Level1® to affect a renovation of our kitchen and two (2) bathrooms of our recently re-occupied home (I approached this project with significant misgivings, as the renovator we had used just prior to our moving in had bungled most of the projects they had performed).Fortunately, the results provided by Level1® were the absolute opposite of those of their predecessor: THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, and the process by which they operated instilled confidence and minimized anxiety.A quick administrative note:One half of the couple writing this review is a 35+ year Quality Assurance Professional.The other half of this couple is a 35+ year Mathematics Teacher.Longevity in both professions require adept ability to determining conforming results.The Process:The project replaced the single-sink vanities in each of the bathrooms with double-sink vanities, replaced both of the sheet mirrors with framed mirrors and completely rebuilt the shower bungled by our former project renovator. In addition, it replaced the old-style can lights over the bathing areas with LED can lights, and painted the medicine cabinets to match the vanities.The renovations to the kitchen replaced the aging Formica® countertops with quartz countertops, replaced the floor tile, updated the backsplashes, replaced the circa 1985 fluorescent overhead lights (x2) with LED can lights, eliminated the circa 1950-style bar blocking the view from the kitchen to the living room, and installed under-cabinet LEDs.In the process of all these individual actions, were other requirements to support: The cabinets in the kitchen were painted to match the style of the countertops, floor tile and backsplashes; the quartz countertop was installed with a waterfall edge; a pop-up charging station was installed in the counter; a push-button switch for the disposer replaced the wall switch. The wall insulation in the shower replacement was replaced with blown-in foam insulation. Once the big work was complete, the painting and finishing touch-up and final touches were completed.During this process, the renovators were very careful to cover, wrap and protect our furniture, flooring and possessions. In addition, they were diligent and expeditious in removing the excess detritus that comes from performing renovations, e.g., packaging materials, paint and other residues, replaced sheetrock and insulation, and replaced fixtures.The Results:The final results were spectacular. Those familiar with the Kano Quality Model will understand the descriptor of final outcome as a ‘DELIGHTER.’ We were astounded at how it came together, and how quickly; when we watch renovation shows, it seems that the renovations of a home, with no one living in it, take six (6) weeks. We lived in the house during the time period and the renovations were completed in just under three (3) weeks.Two (2) additional aspects of this renovation that bear mentioning:1. Level1® established a text chat for the project, by which we could contact the applicable sub-project and overall project managers. When we had an issue or a question and put it on the chat, it never took more than fifteen minutes to get a manager-level response. When the small but inevitable issues arose and we identified them on the chat, they were remedied expeditiously.2. It rapidly became apparent that all of the workers and managers that came into our house respected our home and our property; we quickly came to the [ULTIMATELY DEMONSTRATED TO BE CORRECT] conclusion that we could leave the house completely without concern.We recommend them unconditionally.

These guys, Todd and his subs, just finished a superb job on our kitchen rebuild/remodel and flood damage from the Winter Storm. Patient, knowledgeable and good craftsmen, they did a great a job keeping us informed along every step of the way (through a group text, even with chronological pictures). And, very importantly, they coordinate to be within the budget. Their friendliness, professionalism, craftsmanship, and focus on customer satisfaction are all certainly the products of their Christian values. We absolutely could not be happier with the service and work done by these fine people. Completely honest with great work ethic. All questions were answered in a timely fashion (same day). David was our "working supervisor" who not only was available whenever needed, but he was here when materials were delivered and, sat in his truck in the hot temperature for the entire time work was being performed at our home. He was very conscious about the clean up after work was completed and even came by on several occasions to make sure everything was good and to double and triple check the work and our satisfaction. I would and have most definitely recommend these guys and will use them again when we do any remodeling of our home. Thank you Level 1 Construction for our beautiful new roof and gutters. They were simply awesome. Chris Horstdaniel was made the entire process of getting our roof replaced so easy. He handled the insurance company and when he said the crew would show up to do the work, they were there on time. They completed our roof in ONE DAY. Chris stopped by during the day, and made sure that the onsite supervisor answered any questions we had. If you need work done, Level 1 is the way to go!

My family & I could not have chosen a better contractor for our roof and fence repair. Matt did all of the coordination with the builders, including my insurance carrier. Matt walked us through the entire process and remained engaged until the work was finalized. We could not be happier with the end product! After the winter storm we had a plumbing leak in the attic we were unable to locate. Even though they were extremely busy they made time to come for us. They gave us a time slot for arrival which they arrived in. They were very professional and I will not hesitate to use them again. I highly recommend this company. I had no idea, service could be so fast, pleasant and effective. I had a week to close on the rental property, and they negotiated with my insurance company all while finishing my roof, gutters, screens and garage door all ahead of schedule. I lived out of town and they just took over. I have had rental properties for over 30 years and never knew a company could be this great at service. I STRONGLY recommend this company!

My husband hired these crooks to check if we have water damage upstairs. They came in torn apart the drywall and left. No water damage whatsoever. Few days later Mr. Todd sent us a bill to repair the wall damage that they’ve done. Please beware or you’ll get scammed!

Don’t go with Level 1 GC, they are not responsive and very unprofessional. I recommend going with another contractor. I recently had George Gressett Jr. come to my home due to damage from the recent winter storm. It has been over two months and no communication. At this point, I decided to go with another contractor.
