I am not a person who writes reviews often. But I would like to take this opportunity to thank you Kas Contracting, especially John. In Texas, roofing business is growing rapidly, but to find one who is honest, reliable, affordable, great after service is not easy. We replaced our roof many years ago with John. The whole process was very smooth, quick, professional compared with other companies my neighbors used for. My roof was done really quickly when others were still waiting for the material or any delays. After a couple of years, I had to check on the cost of replacing a roof on one to buy house, so I called John again. He showed up in a very short notice and he had to ran twice to get an extended ladder to climb up, even though it’s just a to buy house. Last year after the terrible storm, I was so worried about my other investment homes, John showed up the next day and did explain all the details of how to work with my insurance. We decided to wait a couple of years. Not the least, 5 years later, this Monday I texted him because a couple shingles was blown away from my old house. He quickly responded and arranged his worker to fix everything with no charge. He only earned one business from me, but many years of after service is priceless. His attention and care to his customers are very sincere. I highly recommend John and Kas.

Kas Contracting did an amazing job with my two rental property roof replacements from the hail damage a few months ago. We first used Kas in 2015 when my personal home had similar hail damage with a storm in Bee Caves. Now with 4 roof replacements total, I can safely say Kas Contracting is our go to roofing and contracting company. I am happy to recommend them especially with nearly ten years of working with them. We can’t say enough positive things about our experience with KAS Contracting, and Erik Velez. The process was smooth from beginning to end. Erik supported us thru the initial communication with our insurance company and even took the time to coordinate with the adjuster as our roof replacement claim was reviewed to confirm everything was properly covered. A few days ago my roof began to leak during a storm. Water began to leak into my master closet. I contacted John at KAS roofing. It was a bit late so I texted him not expecting a call till the next day. Nope! He got back to me immediately.He completely replaced my roof after the storms in 2020 damaged them badly. He did a great job and was so easy to work with, so he was the first and only person I thought to contact.He came by the next morning to check my roof out.As a testament to his professionalism, it turned out to be a pretty minor problem that he went ahead and repaired at no charge. He said he was in the neighborhood and had the materials already. We all know that he could have easily charged a lot of money because chances of me going up to fix the roof were slim. Me knowing what to look for is even slimmer.John and the people KAS roofing are awesome and I will definitely be calling them for any issues that may arise in the future. We just moved in our brand new home less than 6 months when a severe hail storms hit Travis County in Spring 2015. Practically every single home in Lakeway/Bee Cave needs roof repair/replacement. Our neighborhood were flooded with ads from roofers. We interviewed many roofers and encountered many roofing shysters. Either the estimates were outrageous or their attitudes were obnoxious or both. Most of these business clearly were out to take advantage of homeowners and their insurance company during this unfortunate time. Kas Contracting was 1 of the referral we got through Home Advisor. John was prompt to come out and did a roof inspection. Our roof were more than 25% damaged and the insurance covered for an entire roof replacement. John's bid was very competitive but most importantly he explained to us every detail of the roof installation and educated us how to evaluate the bids we receive (comparing the quality of materials included in estimates not just looking at $ and terms of contract and vet the business owner) . He won the job and we could not be happier with the timing and quality of the work provided. He provided insurance documents before the work started. They came on the day job supposed to started and completed as promised. I referred John & Kas Contracting to other friends and neighbors. I heard from them that John helped them negotiated with insurance company (the infamous Liberty Ins) to cover for the cost of the roof. Talked to at least ten roofing contractors before talking to John at Kas Contracting. John was super responsive and answered all my questions in a timely manner. He was on spot and honest about costs of roof replacement and what they offered. Most other roofing companies I talked too always seemed to promise upgraded shingles, etc as a benefit. John explained the reasons behind their sales pitch and that sold me. Roof was installed in a day and looks absolutely awesome. He even made sure to pick a color of the drip edge to match the color of my trim paint! KAS initially installed a new roof after a large hail storm. They were very professional and cleaned up the area very well after they were done. Several months later we decided to sell our home. This was also after a tornado hit our general area. Upon inspection there were areas seriously damaged on the roof and this was going to prevent the sale of our home. KAS responded VERY quickly and repaired all the damage at a very fair price. This was all done in time to keep our original close date! KAS did a roof for us when we lived in Austin and did an awesome job. We have since moved to Belton and after the horrible storm that we had Tuesday evening I called them and asked them if they serviced the Belton area and would like to have my roof inspected because of the substantial hail that we received. Eric came and inspected my roof and found one shingle that had a dent in it from the hail. Our subdivision has been swamped with roofing companies trying to sell new roofs. I am a real estate investor and I have used KAS contracting has been my go-to roofing company These guys go above and beyond to ensure the customer is satisfied and there are no issues with the roof. They use quality material and stand behind it if there are any issues. The owner is extremely involved and ensures the installation meets his standards. These guys went to bat for me on one of my jobs that had a bad batch of shingles from the manufactures - they called the company, and took care of from start to finish. It’s extremely hard to get this level of service after you’ve paid your contractors - these guys are an exception to that and have a level of pride in their work. Getting a new roof is always a big deal - these guys are the ones you want on your job.

A family member had a good experience using KAS Contracting a few years ago, so when our house got hailed, and our Insurance Adjuster assessed our significant damage, KAS was the first company I thought to contact. This was my first experience going thru the whole Insurance claim process and roof job negotiating process. Erik from KAS was excellent explaining the adjuster's findings and compromising with me about a few changes, such as adding ridge vents we desired. Amidst the process, the day after I met with Erik we experienced a tragic death in our family, requiring myself to be out of town for an extended period. Erik was very understanding and patient with us, and with the aid of another family member, the job got done on time, as projected, and the quality of work details and thorough cleanup far exceeded our expectations. And because of my circumstances being away, we had a delay in processing our initial insurance check, but that was not a problem to scheduling and getting the job done. Personally I appreciate KAS professionalism for that. In a heartbeat we would us KAS Contracting again.ThankyouDon OBrien
