We have used Top Notch Construction for all our house remodeling. They have always been prompt and thorough. They've done a beautiful job, every time we've hired them. I’m not sure at what point Mr. Swanner decided to trash our contract. From the start he was deceitful and used every excuse imaginable to not do the work. He projected the job to take two weeks and in the first 6 weeks he worked a total of 20 hours. Finally he stopped communicating altogether. At one point he took a check I wrote to a subcontractor, changed the “Pay to the order of” line and cashed it. He is in debt to me for almost $5000 and I have not received a response from him in over a month. He was a fraud, liar and a cheat. If you consider doing business with him it is you that should seek help.

I had TNC completely model a 1960s bathroom, refinish a wall, install interior doors, repair the eave and many other repairs in the spring of 2018. It was a pleasure working with him and his wife. He did what he said he’d do when he said he’d do it. The costs were reasonable and the work was done well. I would definitely ask him to perform more work for me.

Still waiting for a refund and reimbursement for water damage since my house hasn't had a roof for @ a month.
