Nick and Cary oversaw our roofing project from start to finish- the communication was outstanding. They made themselves available to answer questions or fine-tune the plan and visited the site to personally monitor progress. The crew was competent, courteous, and worked in a smooth, committed manner. Upon completion, all construction materials were promptly and meticulously removed-our yard was pristine. A few days later Nick followed up to confirm our expectations were met. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results. ELK is awesome!

I cannot begin to say enough about how helpful and easy to work with Travis has been! He helped walk me though the process and dealt with my insurance adjuster to make sure I would get coverage. He communicated with me every step of the way, let me pick out the color I wanted and got me some extra vents put in to help in the summertime. The contractors that did the install were there before the sun came up, started at 8AM and were done before noon, no screws or debris left behind, you wouldn't have even known there were there!

Unbelievable to find honesty, professionalism, and integrity in one company these days, but we did with Elk Contracting. The employees were respectful when replacing our roof. Cameron and Nick were extremely helpful and patient when it came to dealing with the insurance company. Everything was explained upfront with no gray areas. He let me know it would be a few hours before he could show up and he was right on time. He climbed up on the roof, Identified the problem, and had the proper repairs made in a timely manner. I would recommend Elk Roofing to everyone. I had an issue with wind damage to my roof, specifically the ridge cap, that if it wasn’t taken care of right away rain would have seeped into the house. Mike came out and did a temporary fix on it, discussed the damage with my insurance adjuster, showing hlm previous hail damage and other issues.I was completely impressed with the roofing crew, working efficiently, cleaning up, and how courteous they were. SAN ANTONIO:Elk Contracting just did a roof and repair for my father's home in San Antonio. Mike Dalmolin and his team went above and beyond with this project that involved two roofs, a garage roof rebuild, and skylights.His team is the best! I have much respect for their quality of work, hustle, and pitching in to help with an old car with flat tires that we needed to move out of the garage so they could replace the roof. They didn't have to do this, but they did it with creative solutions and smiles on their faces. Elk contracting came out after a recent Hail storm. Nick inspected the roof and confirmed hail damage. He then came back out to meet with the adjuster who also confirmed the hail damage. We were able to work out a fair deal and switched to a standing seam metal roof. We could not be happier with the service we received by the entire team! Thanks Elk Contracting!

The representatives were very professional from the first day and had extremely great people oriented skills. The roofing work was completed on time and gutters were then installed. The evening after the gutter install, a hard rain showed a small problem that was immediately repaired. They were fast, friendly, and very helpful with the insurance paperwork. This is an amazing team to use for your roof repairs. We first made contact with them when we needed to have some very minor wood-rot to be removed and repaired. This was just a very small job that was completed in about 2-3 hours. After that, we went through a pretty bad hail storm to which prompted us to call them again to complete the repairs. We made an appointment to have the roof replaced and this amazing team completed the majority of the job. The team did come out a second day, however, they were only here for about 2.5 hours. The work looks great and without hesitation, I would call them again. They are by far part of my A-Team for home repair when we need them! My next door neighbor referred me to Nick due to Elk having done a great job on his roof. They were actually better than great on our roof. First, Nick was very responsive and helpful as we talked through what I wanted, and his bid came in lower than I anticipated. Then when the work began they operated like an orchestra. They brought a crew of about 13 workers and were able to replace our 3400 sq ft single story roof in one day, and it came out perfect. They were super conscientious about every detail from beginning to end, explaining what they were doing and making sure we were happy with everything along the way. They painted every roof jack to match the shingles, cleaned all the gutters, and even repainted some old trim that had discolored over time. And when they left, there were literally no signs whatsoever - other than our beautiful new roof - that anyone had even been here. All in all just a fantastic experience. Elk Contracting will be my first call for anything we need done on the exterior of our home in the future.Service: Roof installation

Nick and his entire team were beyond professional! He went above and beyond to turn a disastrous experience with our insurer into a seamless and budget-saving win! Our roof is fantastic, was installed quickly and has new upgrades that the previous one lacked.I have to laugh because a day or two after a serious hail storm (my first after moving to TX, about 2 weeks into our new home) Nick came by offering a free inspection and I turned him away because I wanted to call my insurance company first. Long story short, neighbors had a great experience with Nick and I could see the work was great, so after finding out from our insurance adjuster that the roof needed replacement, we called Nick back and he even joked with me that we'd turned him away before.Short story long - Moving to TX after 5 other states with the same insurer, we didn't see that the TX policy had a separate line item & deductible for Wind/Hail (all other states include it in single deductible with the same insurer) and our normal and general policy $2k deductible was somehow defaulted to $10k for the roof! On a ~$20k repair estimate! (USAA Policy Holders - CHECK YOUR TX POLICY!) In a potential $10k hole, I was up-front and honest with Nick about the predicament and shared the whole story. Nick worked miracles to not only complete the work in a timely manner and IMPROVING the design of the roof to include additional ventilation and adding much needed gutter guards - but he did so for an out-of-pocket cost far less than the $10k deductible my insurance stuck to me. I never had to deal with the insurer again after initiating the claim, other than to receive claim checks as Nick and his team handled all the communication and hassle with the insurer. You may have read advice about never sharing insurance information or estimates from your adjuster in advance with roofers to obtain an honest quote - I can vouch that Nick operates completely in the interest of the homeowner and will work his tail off to do the right thing at the highest quality!
