Chris at Aggieland Contracting is wonderful to work with. We have been working with him since 2020 and he has never been late to an appointment. He has always been punctual with sending out quotes on projects and fixing any changes we had. We like to send Chris any pictures that we have and what we want the project to look like and the finished product always comes out perfect. He has installed skylights in our kitchen and outdoor space in our back yard, made custom made gates and garage for us, installed new fencing, new windows in my wife's office and our kids bathroom, etc!! I could go on but the list is too long. Chris is great at communicating whether it be email or by phone, he will make sure that the customer is always happy with the finished project. We will continue to work with Chris because of his professionalism, workmanship, and his dedication to make customers his number one priority!!

Chris and his team have done a few jobs for us over the years— the most recent being his renovation of our attic into a two-bedroom suite for our tween daughters. Others include a custom bookshelf and complete floor removal and replacement.Our experience with Aggieland Contracting has been top-notch, and our realtor friends who have walked our addition have commented specifically on the quality of the work.We were able to add over 800 square feet of living space, a staircase, and a renovation of our mudroom/laundry room during our most recent job. All inspections passed on the first round and EVERYONE who came through commented on the quality of the work performed.Chris’s architect created us a gorgeous space, his sub-contractors were kind, friendly, and hardworking. It never felt intrusive to have them in our home.When I nit-picked caulk and finishes, Chris always accommodated me and came over personally or requested photos so that he could communicate with his team.There were times when I realized I wanted to upgrade a certain part of the project, and the extra money spent was clearly laid out for me and we signed off on it before committing. For example, the beautiful custom door to what is now our under-the-stairs wine cellar. It was really great to be able to feel like I was able to work with Chris to make changes and that his team was dependable and could produce the expected results for the money we paid.Construction isn’t ever perfect and there were times where we hit delays. It’s the nature of the beast, and whenever we communicated a frustration with Chris he tried his best to resolve the issue or provided us actual reasons why something was held up. His honestly and fairness throughout the process really made our experience amazing.

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Chris and Aggieland Contracting! He remodeled our guest bath and master bath and the results were beautiful! We have received so many compliments on the tile work and overall appearance of the bathrooms. Chris was very helpful in guiding us through the process and in selecting tile, paint, countertops, flooring and fixtures. His crew was outstanding and very friendly. Chris was always responsive and his quote was spot on! We would highly recommend him to friends and family. Our new roof looks great! Chris and his crew did a great job taking off the old shingles and putting on the new ones. They were quick, professional, and completed the job when promised. They also cleaned everything up and took away the trash and old shingles. They also installed gutters that fit and work perfectly. We are very pleased with the quality of work and highly recommend them.Because of their quality of work, we hired them to remove a huge branch and minor repair of another roof. The branch was taken down without further damage to our roof. They also discarded the branch and all the limbs so that we didn’t have to get rid of it ourselves. I highly recommend Aggieland Contracting. We had a catastrophic roof issue where a huge tree damaged the roof and surrounding roof framing. Chris and his crews were very attentive to the urgency of this repair. They professionally did the work and explained what was needed and why. We were so impressed we ended up having them replace the whole roof as it was getting old.After the work was done they cleaned up the worksite as if they were never there. In a world where honesty and integrity are in short supply Aggieland Contracting exceeds expectations.

Do your homework before you hire Chris and Aggieland Contracting to do your remodel work. I hired Chris to demo a shower and build an ADA compliant shower. While the finished product is beautiful it turns out he is a cheap skate. ADA laws are not in effect for residential buildings, and I understand that from the research I did. However His original quote stated specifically ADA compliant and all standard practice procedures I found were to include grab bars in an ADA compliant shower/bathroom for residential use. Chris refused to install the grab bars unless I paid an extra $615 on the back end of the originally quoted cost. This shower is for a 72 year old widow. How horrible that he would be not only deceptive, but also refuse safety and peace of mind to an elderly woman. In addition to the shower, he was also to install a custom steel front door to the residence as stated in the quote. His crew installed a fiberglass door which he claimed to be superior to steel. That is possibly accurate, but still not what I asked for. A week or so later he installed a flimsy box store steel door that I could probably bend with my bare hands. He told me that I would need a new quote to get the door that he said he would install originally. The new quote was for an additional $4500. Chris doesn't care about his work. He only wants to deceive you so he can squeeze you out of as much money as possible. By this point I was sick of working with him so I told him to paint it and get the job done. The third problem I had with Chris was his worst of all. During one phone call I had with him about the front door He stated "you are being too frustrating to me to have my crew install a different door." I understand that there will always be incompetent companies out there, but how can a decent business owner stay in business if he chooses to insult his customers? As a small business owner myself, my number one priority is making sure the customer is happy. Chris doesn't care what his customers think and his insults are proof of that. All that said, Angel and the rest of the workers were wonderful. If a problem arose they jumped to make it right without question. For instance during the demo they discovered some wood rot and had it replaced within a couple hours. At the end of one day they discovered that the drain was installed incorrectly and it was replaced first thing the next morning. Chris However only cares about collecting his payment. Your satisfaction will not be a concern to him. If you love to shell out money and don't care about getting what you paid for go ahead and hire Chris and Aggieland Contracting. Just understand that you will probably have to hire a second contractor after the fact to finish the job.UPDATE TO REVIEW. Chris has responded to the above review as well as a review on yelp. He states that he offered the grab bars for free and I refused. His offer was to give me the grab bars in exchange for removing negative feedback from the internet. He’s not actually offering anything. He simply wants to buy his positive reviews not work for them. In addition he’s not completely wrong about his quote, but in hindsight the quote was full of shady lingo used to make me think I was getting more than what he intended. Be cautious. If you hire him go through the quote with a fine toothed comb and possibly have it reviewed by another professional. He played me for a fool. Lesson learned.Maybe Chris was having a bad day when he insulted me over the phone. We all have bad days sometimes but he needs to keep those emotions in check. I got relocated for work and ended up buying a home in College Station. My realtor recommended Aggieland contracting. This was the best recommendation I could've received. I needed a few remodels at my home. Aggieland was able to come out to my home and quote my remodels within the same week of contacting them. The remodel to my kitchen and bathroom were extraordinary! TRULY extraordinary people. We had massive flood damage due to frozen pipes. I called everyone and no one returned my call or showed up for appointments (everyone was busy) - except Chris Aversa - the owner of this amazing company. He was extremely busy too. But he found the time to assess our situation and accommodate us. More than this- at the time I was wheelchair bound and they went out of their way to maintain access to the bathroom that I needed despite the major repair work. The entire crew was hardworking, respectful, attentive, and empathetic in addition to doing excellent work. You can't tell that anything was damaged and they did better tile work, wood work and other details than the original custom builder did! Chris was very responsive to every email or phone call and solved every problem or challenge that came up. We are beyond grateful. If I were building a house or needed anything renovated etc I would call Chris. As I told him when we were done- I am trying to think of other things I need to do to my house so I can keep him in my life! I cannot express how impressed and so very thankful we are for these great folks. In my opinion you will not find a better more detail oriented contractor in Brazos County. I've hired Chris a few times to do various remodel projects around my home and every time he's gone above and beyond what was needed just to make sure I was completely satisfied.
