Done Right Roofing removed an existing 30 yr old roof, repaired damaged decking, soffit, facia and associated trim.The firm was one of three bidders.Mr. Silvey's (Bill) process began with an on the roof inspection and progressed to a well organized survey type discussions of material choices, methods of installation and expected long term performance of the installed roof. His assessment also included attic ventilation. He was the only bidder to do so.During the discussion he presented material samples and information relating to the function and purpose of that material.At that time, after selecting options, with all the details still fresh in my mind, Bill composed a printed contract and we had our agreement. Other bidders came, looked, talked briefly and left with a promise to send a bid later.The work was scheduled and in due course the crew arrived.This crew was a cohesive group of men who were accustomed to working together. Each one knew his task and got down to work. These men were polite, courteous and easy to talk with. The crew chief was always available to answer questions and easy to work with.The nature of the demolition of the existing roof creates a mess which was kept under control and limited in scope at all times. Flower beds and the ground were covered to catch any falling debris and was cleaned up as the work progressed. 90 plus percent of old roof went directly from the roof into a trailer (did not hit the ground).The work progressed rapidly and in conformance with not just the contract but also met my expectations from the discussion with Bill. Everything was up front and transparent in the eyes of this long time construction hand.Final clean-up was excellent.Communications with Bill were clear, frequent and easy. Bill and the excellent staff at Done Right Roofing are superior to any of the other roofing companies out there. Very responsive to the customer's needs and professional in how the job is handled. We had our roof upgraded about 6 years ago and again in 2021 when the large hail storm destroyed a number of properties in our neighborhood including our house. We were on the phone with Bill and our insurance company and both responded in no time. The job was completed quickly and we are extremely satisfied with the results. Bill and the entire team at Done Right Roofing were excellent. Bill kept us informed of the status of our roof replacement process and was quick to deliver any updates on our shingles that were delayed due to the supply chain with all the COVID drama. We wanted a specific color and Bill and his company were patient to wait with us until the product arrived. As soon as it did, the roof was up and completed in 2 days. Amazing! On-site, during installation, the team was great as well. They even covered our pool and the cleanup was excellent. They arranged for the seamless gutter company to have them installed soon after the roof was completed. Done Right Roofing did a great job for us. Bill was professional in his presentation of his company. He brought samples of the roof materials they would be putting on our roof and explained everything in detail from the new material they use on the underlay to painting the vents to match the roof . His crew was also very professional and courteous they showed up and went right to work spreading tarps to protect my flower beds and lawn. Their work on the roof was very good and the cleanup was outstanding. PLEASE read - Bob Lynette's post (~9th review down) says it all. I couldn't have said it any better. I needed the same repairs to my home when I chose Bill several years ago to fix/replace my roof and all that goes with it. Bill has had to replace roof again twice since then BUT only because the damage from the recent hail storms in my area. Yes, Bill has done my roof three times now using the same excellent crew. And the best thing: They were meticulous about cleaning up as they went along. I think there were two people on the ground strictly dedicated to throwing away trash as it was thrown off the roof. We had a severe hail storm and were looking for companies to inspect and provide bids on roof repairs if we needed them. I contacted some companies advertising on TV and saw that a close friend and neighbor had a sign in his yard for Done Right Roofing. After talking to Bill from Done Right and to our neighbor, we chose to go with Done Right Roofing. Due to Covid-19 and our choice of shingles, we had to wait quite a while for the shingles to come in. When they did, we were waiting on a pool install and vacationing in Arizona and Done Right was patient with us during the whole process. They finished the job in 3 days, a day early, and were careful to cover our plants and our new pool to prevent damage or debris from getting into the pool. They were great, fast and professional. This is not your ordinary roofing company. They pay attention to detail, go out of their way to fix any problems, work with the insurance companies to get you the best possible roof and fight for you to get the upgrades necessary. The process is very transparent, bill stopped by and showed me exactly where the damages were from the hail. He also didn't pressure me into getting it replaced. It did take some time to schedule, procure materials and get it done, but I'm very happy with the results. I'd highly recommend this company for anyone in the Austin area.Edit: I paid the company an extra $1000, and they called me to point it out and sent back a refund check. That's very nice of them and adds another star to their business!

They had done our neighbor’s roof, and shortly after the job was complete, we had a storm that knocked down some fences and quite a few of our shingles. I just had my third experience with Done Right Roofing, and Bill and his crew exceeded my expectations again! They covered my back porch and a large flat area on my roof with Duro-Last seven years ago. They also completely rebuilt my carport with a much better and stronger design and covered it with Duro-Last, too. Now they’ve replaced my roof. I originally went with Done Right Roofing because Bill was so thorough in explaining what needed to be done and why. His crew was friendly and always did a fantastic job at cleaning up after each day. The roofers that my neighbors used left nails in my yard, but I didn’t find any after Bill’s crew left. This company also did some repairs and other extra things that weren’t even in my contract. Done Right Roofing did an exceptional installation of our new roof and supplied quality products for the job. We were amazed at the daily work ethic of the crew, working diligently from early to late. They even worked on Saturday and Sunday. We had rain several nights before completion, but they prevented any leaks by covering with plastic sheeting. During pre-construction inspection, Bill Silvey noticed other repair issues, such as cracked fireplace chimney caps, and recommended a contractor for their repair. This company goes above and beyond your normal roofing company. I will definitely use Done Right for any roofing needs in the future.

With their premium roofing materials, Bill and his crew did excellent work, from the new and improved skylights, to inspecting and replacing all rotting wood with all new decking. My home has a completely new smell and feel to it, and especially during strong storms in the area, I have no more worries about the rain and wind seeping into my home one bit. This is the second time we have used Done Right to replace our roof. I found their crews to be very efficient, hospitable, respectful and hard working. Most of the crew who worked on our roof the first time were still working the second time the roof was replaced. I found this to be very reassuring, that they were able to keep a knowledgeable crew intact which insures a exceptional work ethic and outstanding workmanship. I Bill to be very honest and knowledgeable about the products used on our roof and he was exceptional in working with insurance company to minimizing our cost staying within our deductible amount. I first met Bill Silvey about a year ago after he was recommended to me by an A/C contractor when I thought I had a roof leak. He came out, spent at least 30 minutes inspecting the roof inside and out, taking pictures, and explaining that the roof was fine, and the chimney was the problem. When I offered to pay him for his time, he declined. So when I needed to replace my roof, I called Bill. He made the entire process with the insurance seamless. This is the third time I've had to replace a roof, and I can honestly say that the other roofers never did things with such attention to detail as DoneRight. It took them a little bit longer, but I can understand why. The workers were very polite and hardworking, and there was always a supervisor on site who was also very professional and nice. They cleaned up and swept the area for nails each day before leaving. The roof looks great! Another thing about Bill that I found very valuable, is that he will always return your calls without much delay, and he has the patience to answer any and all questions. I would definitely recommend Done Right roofing....I think they are very honest, reliable, and professional.
