All the five star reviews are from 5 years ago if I could give zero stars I would these arenot custom built homes these are basic over priced homes thing other builders include do not and they will charge you the highest price possible they are liars and don’t own up to there word do not go to them do not you will regret it

Excellent work, excellent customer service. Our sales consultant and project manager were amazing! We are very pleased with our new home from Southwest Homes. If we ever have the opportunity to build again, we would definitely choose them. They turned what could have been a very stressful experience to one that was manageable and exciting. Our home is everything we dreamed of and more!

Southwest Homes did a great job on the construction of our home. We would like to thank all those that took part in making this dream come true from those in the field and in the office. We were uncertain how everything would work out after getting hit by hurricane Harvey but everything worked out and we got into our new home and it withstood everything. Everyone we had interactions with during the process were very polite and nice. Again, thank y’all so much for everything!!

Great company and people! Loved working with them from start to finish and they made the whole process so simple for us. Through the whole process SWH was always in contact with us and helped out with anything we needed and we're very helpful and professional when we would constantly change our minds on things! We absolutely love our new house we built with them, the proses was smooth the communication was great they would double check and fix any types of miscommunication. They were helpful and very informational about everything, with it being our first house. Overall great company with great staff everyone cared and are respectful and would treat us like family I would definitely recommend!!!

We have lived in our SW built home for over a year and I hate our kitchen counters. We choose marble counters and were never told that we would have to seal them. However, we did ask the construction manager and were told to buy a sealer (at Home Depot or Lowe's) and follow the directions. We did exactly that and in no time the counters were riddled with milky stains EVERYWHERE. Everything seems to leave marks. It is such a pain when I'm either cooking/entertaining to constantly be wiping down the counters in hopes of no more damage. We addressed it with SW at our year mark for any problems and they did take care of our issues, EXCEPT the main countertop issue. We have a large family and I love to cook, so the kitchen was my top priority when we built the house. Everyone we have over, asks what is wrong with the counters. It completely ruins the whole look of our expensive kitchen and takes away from me loving it! Overall the experience with SWH was good but I wish they would have taken care of this issue. They need to have all counters (that need sealing) part of the completion process.

The process of getting approved and into the house was easy. I give them that! But the house itself interior wise is very basic and missing a lot that other builders include. Tile shower sleeve anything you want will cost extra not included. Our shower cost over 6k and it’s so so so basic 🤦🏻‍♂️ I was young and I believe they took advantage of the opportunity. They are not of their word, told me me that my house would be on my land with a certain price comes to find out it now 2 different prices. I have been told 3 times my house would be done at a certain time and a year later it's still 90% complete. Worst experience I have ever encountered and if I were to do it all again I would have chose a different company.

Bought a home in 2010 and first heavy rain a couple years laters roof leaked in master bedroom area.sheet rock ,carpet ruined.contacted ins.and they couldnt find roof problem.so contacted swh and said they werent responsible after a year.they claim to take care of you if you have any problems but once theyre paid by bank they dont care .my roof still leaks.this was a builder defect somewhere but they refuse to make good.
