To my fellow general contractors in the DFW area: I have never done this before, but I feel the need to issue a warning. I know many of you have used MGS Roofing as your Roofing subcontractor. As of today, MGS- is refusing to honor their warranty on all the roofs they’ve done for me over the past 4-5 years. Probably 100 roofs. They got upset with me last year because his crew removed all the shingles and felt off of a large roof, after I told them there was a storm moving in. This house ended up with about $3000 worth of drywall repair and painting. I offered to split the cost with him and he still was upset with me. They told me he didn’t want to work with me anymore, but promised they would continue to honor the warranty on the homes he had done for me. As a general contractor, I’m going to continue to honor the warranty, but I wanted to issue a warning to anyone who is or has used them.
