I own a small strip mall that had many roofing issues. Several roofing companies insisted I had to replace the roof. The financial cost was substantial. Since February of this year we tried to make sense of this situation. A friend of ours told us to contact Oliver at Mastercraft Roofing. We had a meeting with him and Spencer after inspecting the roof. They proposed to restore the roof rather than replace the roof. We were not too convinced. What they presented was almost science fiction and too cheap compared to the other bids. We agreed to meet a second time to visit an ongoing project and then a completed one. The completed one was already 6 years old and I had the pleasure to meet Robbin the owner of the building. He told me that same as us, he was a bit skeptic at fist but, he did some research and decided to move on with the restoration of the roof. He was at times concerned because the cost was several hundred thousand dollars less than replacing the roof and he was afraid to "get what he paid for" situation. For the past six years, two major hail storms and drastic weather temperatures Robbin insisted that the roof has had no issues. On May 8th this year we decided to pull the trigger and we did sign the contract. It has been the best financial decision we've made on this building. I don't write reviews but this time I have to. First, the system that they installed indeed has fiscal advantages. We thought that the "energy savings" was just selling talk but as of today we are our electrical bill for the summer is substantially less than last summer. We have also noticed that the air conditioning units are running better. I was impressed that during the installation process there were no problems and Mastercraft did finish a week before they did initially plan. There was zero construction annoyances. Their professionalism is out of the question with 2 yrs workmanship warranty and 20 yrs no dollar limit renewable warranty on the roof.Services: Gutter repairs, Roof inspection, Skylight installation, Roof installation

Master Craft is under New ownership I called them with a problem, Spencer told me He would take care of my problem where some singles was defected from the factory, and He was Johnny on the spot. I strongly recommend Master Craft and will be using them in the future. It's hard to find experts that truly stand by there work and there word if you have a roof problem or something else just give Spencer a call if he can't do it he will put you in the right direction.

I had Mastercraft RAC working with me on two major projects this summer and fall. I had severe hail damage to a rental property, which required much more than just a roof replacement. I must say, am grateful for the conscientious, thorough and professional service provided! Spencer Boyle oversaw the whole process, beautifully coordinating all of the subcontractors for each phase. I am particular, and often want details of a project to be done in specific ways. He listened, and got it done to my satisfaction every time. My experience was so good, that I decided to do a couple of concrete projects at that property as well, they came out just as well, and, as hoped.When hail then hit my own residence this fall, it was a no brainer to continue my association with Spencer and Mastercraft for that work and the side projects surrounding it. Altogether very happy with the completed jobs at both sites!!

Mastercraft's team replaced the roof in our small shopping center. We had been battling with our insurance for over 8 months and we were very disappointed how the previous roofing company was handling the case. Mastercraft was recommended by our new property management company. I was very impressed how Spencer and Oliver did not pressure us to replace the roof but to understand first what was our plan with the building and plan accordingly. Upon that point the the approach towards the insurance was absolutely different than the other roofing company that almost had us banned from our current insurance company with whom we have been working for over 15 years. Mastercraft worked with the insurance as an asset working for the building. Conversations with the insurance took a 180 degree turn. In less than 4 months not only the insurance agreed to replace the roof but with the new type of roof we were able to lower our commercial insurance premium. Tim was Mastercraft's Project Manager. The project did last 45 days to completion, finishing a week ahead of schedule. Tim was able to create a process where none of our tenants had to alter their work schedules or activities and there were no annoyances to customers and clients. Edit: The vehicles in question that had to receive 2 tire replacements from left over nails were not present at the time of service, as we were out of town. We arrived back home on June 29th after our roof replacement from June 23rd. We parked both of our work vehicles & let them sit until July 21st (our next work trip.) The same day, after traveling less than 300 miles, our trailer tire had a blowout. Looking at the tire, we found 1 lodged nail inside. The next day, yes traveling 200 more miles, we had another blowout on our RV & found 2 lodged nails inside. (Not sure the owner of the company understands how that works- it takes time for nails that are lodged inside tires to cause damages. You can drive HUNDREDS of miles before damages can be caused. A simple physics class & google search can tell you that, sir.) Also left out, when we returned back home from that work trip on August 18th, before driving on the property, we used a rolling magnet on our gravel drive & front property (1 acre) to then find 49 other nails that could have caused even more damage. Also would like to point out that the owners response was just like I thought it would be. Condescending, Rude & Lacking Accountability. Oh BTW, I OWN the property in question. You were working with my husband the entire time, but you were also working with me. My name might not have been on the “invoice” but I am definitely “someone he knows.” WHAT A JOKE. I will be contacting the BBB now. Have a nice day sir.BEWARE of this company. We had our roof replaced back in June ‘23. I had already written a review & here is what happened: I left a 3 star review due to multiple (52) nails found throughout our driveway that caused 2 blowouts on a trailer & RV. The woman we were working with was super kind in helping us & let us know we could receive a refund due to the two tire replacements that the company caused from the leftover old roofing nails. (AS any roofing company should offer.) We were not concerned about the $742.75 we had to spend to fix the tires, but more concerned that this could happen to another business/customer & they couldn’t pay for it. We wanted to inform them of the issue & they OFFERED (as they should) for a refund. It’s the PRINCIPAL. Received our invoice in Sept ‘23 & noticed we did not get a refund. Ok, so did we call and complain? NO. Did we pay the invoice? YES. We left it as is. One day after my initial review, the “operations manager” called because he wanted “our side of the story.” He stated he was not going to give us a refund & he didn’t know how to make it better. Noting- my initial review was 3 STARS. Only because of the former employee we were working with, Irina. She made the experience AMAZING. She was the only reason we were being nice. Fast Forward to the next day, the woman called us and explained the manager/owner of the company was WITHHOLDING her pay for this project due to the review. And if I didn’t take the review down, she would not be paid. How can you claim to be a “veteran owned company” and treat people this way? I do not care about a refund anymore.…that was never the issue. That was the solution that was originally provided to us, in order to make it right. You can’t expect to leave 52 nails on someone’s property & not make it right someway. The issue is the PRINCIPAL, the INTEGRITY, and the HONESTY of this business. BEWARE to use this company. AVOID this company. They do not have any appropriate values & principles. Since they wanted to complain to me & my husband about a 3 star review & refuse to pay an employee, how do you feel about your 1 star review?

I used Mastercraft for replacement of my roof due to as a result of a hail damage claim thru my insurance carrier. Mastercraft worked diligently with the insurance adjuster and made sure that every aspect of damage was covered outside of the actual roof damage, items that otherwise would likely have not been covered or recognized by the adjuster, new gutters, window screens and a credit for fencing. I highly recommend Mastercraft for any roofing needs that one may have, very professional, communicative and easy to work with.Services: Gutter installation, Roof inspection, Roof installation

Hi Spencer, it’s the “him” you were referring to in your response to Amber Blackwood (aka my wife, aka the owner of the property your services were provided at, aka your client). your condescending comments in reference to her writing a review for someone she “knows” are a prime example of the lack of respect and integrity your customers can expect to receive when doing business with you. There are 100s of roofing contractors in the DFW area, I recommend anyone reading this learn from our mistake and choose another one.

The service I received from them in 2017 was terrible. Understand it's now under different management. Don't know how they are now. I would not recommend. Revision. Since posting review have received call from Miss Lisa at MasterCraft and was informed it is under new ownership since my roof was done. Had pulled my file to find out what was in it as to work that was needed. She asked several questions and found there were things I should have received from old owner and hadn't. One being the warranty. Miss Lisa was very concerned and let know she would make sure I received not only that but other paperwork that should have been sent to me. Found her to be courteous, and willing to go above and beyond in order to help me. Was impressed with her. If everyone in company now is like her, and has same pride in their work I would definitely recommend them. I selected Mastercraft Roofing and Construction in Forney, TX upon a very reliable recommendation from a friend nearby. I saw the wonderful job they did on his roof, and his next door neighbors roof. Since I liked what I saw, and I liked their procedures (safety and otherwise) I contracted with them to do my roof. I interviewed several other roofing companies, and none compared with Mastercraft Roofing and Construction. The foreman, Mike, along with the manager/owner of the company, both made sure that the job their roofers did was perfect. Also, their support did not end there. Their help was supplemented by office personnel that "went to bat" on my behalf when State Farm Insurance resisted paying my claim for over 8 months. At a time when State Farm Insurance was blind to the damage on my roof, Mastercraft was able to show them the damage, facilitating the payment of the claim, allowing the job to be completed. Not one single roofing company I had interviewed offered any help whatsoever, and Mastercraft got the job paid and done. When the job was done, they picked up every single shred of old tear off, nor one nail was left in the yard, and the roof looked perfect. I am totally satisfied with Mastercraft !!!! put on wrong material on patio roof. I was not home most of the year and called them when i noticed a corner had gotten wet and rotted < particle board>. their expert came out and said they put on the wrong type of roof for it being as flat as it was. Mastercraft said their warranty was void because i did not call them within 72 hrs of the issue. I called as soon as i saw it and again let me state they put on the wrong type of roof and want me to pay for replacement. I paid $10,000 for my roof from them and now they will not hold up their end without me paying again.
