Professionalism, quality, respectfulness, expediency but thorough in accomplishing tasks. Not one single thing needed rework at all - not one. Everything was done by the trades people as if they were doing it to their own home. Leadership is outstanding. Office personnel (who we all know gets it all done) was superb. Every tradesman knew exactly what they were doing. The only cost overrun was one that I generated with a last minute upgrade which they took in stride. These folks will definitely get my repeat business. Highly recommend.

We used R.E. McClellen for repairs after water damage. The repair included replacement or refinishing of all of the hardwood on my first floor. The repair included the removal of my entire kitchen (stressful). Cameron was recommended and I am so glad we chose R.E. McClellen to be the General Contractor for the project. Cameron was great about setting expectations and timelines. He helped coordinate the other 2 companies involved with the repair. All of the different workers involved with each step of the process were very professional. I hope I don't have to use him again for water damage, but I would highly recommend R.E. I can’t say enough good things about our experience in working with McClellen Construction. We experienced water damage to our home at the start of February 2020. McClellen Construction was recommended to us by our insurance agent, and they were very quick to respond, and professional in every detail of working with us and the insurance company. What would’ve been already a large renovation project quickly became more complicated with the COVID-19 lock down, as well as the fact that my husband and I are both senior and have health concerns. In addition, my husband and I are both professional artists and retired academics, and are admittedly attentive to details of craftsmanship and professionalism.McClellen worked closely with us to get back to work on our project immediately after the lockdown, and completed the project on time, even though we added a bathtub-to-shower remodel early in the project. Each respective team of workers, whether for demo, or flooring, countertops, cabinet reconstruction, painters, all of them wonderful. All were respectful, skillful, easy to communicate with and all were happy to wear masks at our request, every day. The bookkeeping and any change orders I requested were always clearly and quickly confirmed by email and there was always someone that I could easily contact or talk to by phone if I had any questions at all. We are so very pleased with the results of our beautiful new home, down to every last detail. Most importantly, we feel that we’ve made new friends upon whom we will call again, if only to say hello.Update: I’ve done three major renovation/repair projects on my home in the past three years, all done by RE McClellan, and I will never use anyone else. Everything about this company is fair, professional, and highly skilled. Coordination with insurance was seamless. With each job, I was provided with a highly detailed estimate prior to starting work. On the most recent job, they happily provided me with two alternative estimates, that gave me options with regard to work/cost. pricing is always more than reasonable and transparent. Through the course of each of these major projects, I’ve had the opportunity to work with their skilled craftsmen in the fields of framing, trim carpentry, stone countertops, plumbing, Painters, flooring, tile work, and total reconstruction of a very large deck that had fallen into disrepair. In every single instance, the craftsman were both skilled, good communicators, and professional. Communication regarding the project is always easy, either through their office staff, or project manager, and responses are always made in a very timely manner; usually the same day I contact them. We suffered a slab leak near the end of 2020. My insurance company Liberty Mutual arranged for one of their preferred vendors R.E. McClellen to perform the rebuild work after the plumber fixed the leak and the water restoration company finished drying out several rooms in our house. We didn't expect the work to be started for several weeks because of the year end holidays. Cameron Clifton was our contact at McClellen and once the rebuild process started, work was performed in very short order. We had to have carpenters, painters, plumber and carpet installation work performed. All trades did excellent work and were very polite and professional (and observed Covid protocols too!). Now, our house looks good as new!

I am very pleased with my experience with McClellan Construction! Cameron first came out to the site (my home) and looked at the exterior of my 40 year home. A portion of the exterior siding had begun to break down, specifically the siding on the chimney that extended to the top of the 2nd floor of the home. Cameron and I inspected the rest of the exterior and discussed replacing the exterior with a cement fiber board (i,e., Hardi board). I asked Cameron to provide an estimate to replace the siding on the entire house. Cameron said he would be happy to provide the estimate for the entire house; but it wasn't really needed and at this time (The remainder of the exterior was in good shape and supply chain issues and increased labor costs would significantly increase the cost of the project), and the cost to replace would be better delayed until market conditions could stabilize.I was out of town during the construction. My neighbors tell me that they showed up, erected the necessary scaffolding and did the work over several days just as Cameron had told me that they would do. I am extremely pleased with the result. The project wasn't cheap; however, it was done correctly, just as we had agreed and the result was absolutely the best I hoped for. After the first restoration contractor walked off the job... we called McClellen as advised by our insurance company. R.E. McClellen came out and re-evaluated the water damage and we dined with them. They were honest, neat, very professional. The job was finished without a hitch. I cannot say enough good things about them. Because of the first contractor causing more than nessary damage during a very difficult time in our lives we were displaced for 7 months. The damage by the first contractor ended up costing an additional $40,000 dollars than anticipated. McClellen worked with our insurance and had us back in our home I. Just u set 4 months. We will indeed use McClellan for all our construction needs in the future. They are above and beyond a 5 star company.

Scott McClellen and his team are wonderful, they came into our lives after a fire destroyed our home. We were left in a devastating loss and unfamiliar territory. My sister and I owned the home and were worried about finding a contractor that wouldn’t take advantage of two young ladies in their twenties who had no idea about the steps involved in rebuilding a home. Scott and his team carefully explained the process and treated us and our property with respect. Our house was considered a total loss and they cleaned out all of our destroyed property from the home after another company tried to take advantage of us. He told it to us straight and saved us a lot of money in the process. Not only were they the most capable of all of the contractors we talked to they were also the most reasonably priced. Scott and Chuck (our project manager) treated us like we were family. We had a lot of ups and downs with the house from home burglaries to a delays in insurance funds, but at every step Scott’s team handled it with grace and experience. They were so incredibly kind and compassionate to us. They even handled our crying at the job site with such empathy! We are so grateful that they came into our lives when we needed them the most. They knew the process and they understood how to deal with insurance agents and mortgage companies and went above and beyond to help us through processes that were well outside of their job description. Everyone who came and worked on the house was courteous and efficient. Their subcontractors were local “mom and pop” companies. It brought my sister and I comfort knowing that out of our tragedy we were able to help support small businesses in the community. After a complete loss, they finished the project in three short months, which allowed us to sell the house during prime real-estate season. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs any type of work done, and especially those who have been through a property loss. Scott and his team helped us through the hardest time of our lives and we will be forever grateful.

McClellen Construction specializes in fire and water damage reconstruction. They understand the process of restoring properties that have been damaged by fire or water. There are differences in the approach to this type of work versus simply re-modeling a structure. McClellen has years of experience in handling these types of jobs. Being the owner of a Servpro Fire and Water Restoration franchise, I prefer working with a company who understands where our job stops and theirs starts, so we are not duplicating our effort. I recommend McClellen Construction if you have a need for this type of service.

Very disappointed, I recently referred a close friend to R.E. McClellan for water damage restoration after the severe snow storms here in the DFW... and they did not offer them any services. Just brushed them off stating in short that they are too busy for them. We would have understood being told something like "our next available appointment is pretty far out, but just dismissing a customer....not good for business. Please tell me the reviews are legit and this was just an oversight?

Plus, they were very pleasant to have in the house and I plan on using them again for another project. The new carpet looks great, too.
