I called and made an appointment with Reginald to have a repair done- gave him my address, phone number, etc. My appointment window was from 10am-1pm, yesterday Feb 07th.I made arrangements to take off work to be home for the repair to be done and they never showed, never called, never texted……..they didn’t do anything except waste my time.I’d think twice before trusting these people to show up.

Review for Sam the Plumber’sExcellentThis company does a fabulous plumbing job. I have used them in the past. This time I had a new hot water heater installed. They took out the old and replaced it with the new. Also, they discovered the vent on top of the roof was broken along with the seal. All was repaired. These are honest folks. The cost was reasonable. Highly recommend Sam the Plumber.

Had a broken PVC joint outside of house (under the red shutoff valve). Sale of house was scheduled for mid-week so needed someone to do work without us there. They were timely in their response (called Friday - there Monday). Cost was $636 to replace the one fitting and rewrap the pipe. I'm sure the job was more complex than I'm seeing but would have gotten competitive bids if I could have.Service: Plumbing pipe repair

Again. I had to go with my gut. Sam the Plumber was a great choice. My ceiling was leaking from the attic and needed someone out asap. The receptionist was great and I got someone out to look at it within a few hours. They gave me some options and I wasn’t charged a dime. The work wasn’t cheap, but I feel it was money well spent. I would definitely use them again and recommend this company.

They are AMAZING! They came out quickly late at night to my house for an emergency involving a baby opossum behind my dishwasher, moved the dishwasher very delicately as to not harm the opossum. They patiently waited so that I could capture and secure the baby and we all had a good laugh about it. They are so funny, friendly and down to earth. Everything was put back perfectly as if untouched and very quickly. Stand up guys for sure and REAL men because everyone else I called chickened out and wanted nothing to do with the situation at hand. 10 out of 10 definitely would recommend!

I was modeling in my home, i has 3 showers i was replacing. I tried 3 other plumbing companies each one i was very unhappy with. then i called sam the plumber. Sam himself came out to do my estimate and the men he sent out to do the work were wonderful. they got the job done in a timely manor. they were verybhelpful and informative. I can highly recommend Sam the Plummer in Friendswood. They were prompt, fair and did the job right. I got three estimates on my job which consisted of repairing a cracked 3/4 inch pvc pipe connection. Sams bid was fair and 1/2 the price of the ridiculous highest bid which was also from a locally owned company. I have been a loyal customer of Sam the Plumber for over 8 years, and have recommended them to many neighbors and co-workers. I don't know what has happened there lately, but the quality of service has completely tanked. In April I made an appointment for someone to come and install a new toilet. I waited all day and no one showed up. I called several times and was told they were coming. I tried to reschedule at the end of the day when no one came and they put me on hold for over 10 minutes and just never came back to help me. I decided to give them another chance and called today to have someone come out and give a quote for a shower valve installation. The first woman I spoke with was totally incompetent. She had to ask for my name and address about 5 times, then said she would book it all call me right back. She called back 5 minutes later asking what service I needed (though I told her several times already). She said she would call right back after she booked it. An hour later, no one called. So I called back and spoke to a new, more helpful woman. She was able to get me on the books for today, from 4-6 pm. Excellent! Except no one ever showed up and no one ever called me. That's it, I'm done with Sam the Plumber. It stinks because I've been very happy with the work they had done for me previously.EDITED 6/1: My husband left them a voicemail about their no-shows and the office manager called him to apologize. Apparently they have new office staff? The office manager scheduled us for today from 11-1. No one showed up yet again!!!!!!!

Recently needed a gas line run to our laundry room so I called Same the Plumber. They came out and Steve was our on site professional. He was knowledgeable, easy to work and communicate with, and professional. He saved us a lot of time and money by locating a gas pipeline near to where we wanted the laundry hookup. He gave a quote and the next day he was back to make it happen. He had to run out for an emergency call (completely understandable) immediately returned and finished the job. I've worked the trades fields for years and Steve's performance was honestly outstanding. He didn't leave a mess or large holes for me to patch. He had neatly cut the drywall and replaced it, even around the stubbed new lines. He swept, was polite, nice to my children and dog. 5/5 satisfied. If we continue to get this service I'll continue to use them.

Wow! Mathew and his 2 helpers came and repaired my plumbing leak and did a great job! They were so friendly towards me which being a Widow I really needed the help!!!! We had a leak downstream of the meter in my water supply line one very hot Saturday. I had to turn off the water at the meter which meant I had no water to the house. I called Sam the Plumber around 2:30, spoke with the dispatcher and she immediately realized that I had an emergency. She said someone would be out between 4 and 6. At 3:45, Mark arrives, promptly gets busy (I give him plenty of cold water) and is done by 4:45. By the way, Mark was already on another local job (non emergency) left it to help me, then went back to it after helping me out. And that is what you call service!

Mark, the foreman and his crew were great. They went way above and beyond by repiping my house and replacing the line from the city to my house in one day. They stayed from 7AM to 3AM the following morning getting things done. He even added some of the little things I requested at no additional charge in order to get my business. He came out afterwards the next day to follow up and make sure everything was working great. Mark is an excellent employee and great addition to the staff at Sam the Plumber company. I recommend asking for Mark or using this company for any of your plumbing needs. I certainly will continue to use them personally and recommend them to anyone who asks. Mark did a great job! He was curteous and proffesional. He fixed my main cut-off valve in just a few minutes. Thank you for being honest and reliable. AHS sent out Mr. Rooter. They quoted me $795 to replace valve. They didn't even try to open it. First thing Mark did was try opening it and it worked. I highly recommend using Sam the Plumber.

I needed to unclog a drain Asap and after calling multiple plumbers that either didn't respond or went straight to voice mail, I finally got a live person. He was able to fit me in this day, they called a few minutes earlier to let me know they were in route so I could leave work. Thank you Sam the plumber for being responsive and on time. They were 1 hr late, didn't have the part. Said they would be back at 8:30 in the morning. 10:30am still not there. Wanted $700 to install mixing valve, 1 hr work. After canceling, had another plumber do it for $375. Would never use this company again.

My elderly widowed neighbor had a small toilet leak. I figured it was the wax ring, which I could replace myself. However, she wanted a plumber to check it anyway. So she contacted Sam The Plumber. The gentleman came out, lifted the toilet and replaced the wax ring. He was going to charge her for the service which is understandable. But when I explained her situation, he said "you know what, it's on me". Free of charge. Now who does that? This plumber did! That was a blessing to my neighbor who doesn't have much money to spend on unexpected expenses like this one. This gentleman was heaven sent. I would like to thank him personally! I highly recommend this plumber for his honesty!

Do not use Sam the Plumber. All details were given when we made our appointment. If I could leave no stars I would. They were not honest about times and necessary things like when the job would be done. The girl in the office Kim knew we did not have a faucet and stated no problem. Service man would show us some ideas of faucets and go pick it up. We were what we figured was the first appointment to be there between 8-10. Arrived at nine. Not happy that we did not have the faucet. Even though explained girl in office knew this was the case. Steve was his name, was not pleasant and said had more jobs to do that day. Since had to go for faucet. Not to expect him back till supposedly around 4pm. Asked why our job was not going to be completed since we had our scheduled time. Was unpleasant again and said he would get the faucet and be right back. Finally called him around 11:30. Had not taken that long to get the faucet. Stated he would be out at 2pm. Got to the house around 5pm. Did not have any needed supplies on the truck. Left at around 6:30 to 7pm. Stated would be back at 7:30 next morning to knock out the job. Had heard that several times. Next day not there by 8:15am. Did not answer phone. Called office asked her to find out where he was. Thirty minutes later called Kim back, said he had overslept. Was on his way. Not actually sure what time he arrived but did come and knock it out. Left around 10am. Use them if you like being used and ignored. He told me that he would do his best to get hot water in my home by Thanksgiving day. He did! He was professional and very responsive. I’ve used Sam the Plumber three times. They were extremely professional and friendly.This time, they did not even charge us for the fix which was a bathtub where the caulk had gone away and was leaking into our bedroom. I was shocked that they did not charge us anything.The last time, they were unable to fix our dishwasher problem and did not charge us for the visit either...I will continue to use them for any plumbing needs we have.Thank you Sam the Plumber for being such a dependable and integral company!

We used Sam the Plumber to replace our sewer line. They did a really good job when they dug up the old sewer and went around the landscaping in order to not disturb the plants. Then they laid the new sewer and again they did a professional job. Matt was really professional in making sure everything was being done properly. We have used Sam the Plumber several other times. So I highly recommend Sam the Plumber.

My husband works two jobs and tried to schedule a plumber around his work schedule so that he could be home when a plumber arrived. This was done well in advance. We scheduled for someone to come on Tuesday, 4/20. A plumber was supposed arrive at 5:00 p.m. but didn't show or call. After an hour of waiting, my husband called and was told they were running late due to their current job taking longer than expected. So we waited another hour before we decided it was getting late and we would reschedule. We understand time constraints and were gracious to offer this company another chance to gain our business. We re-scheduled on another day my husband could be home, which is today, 4/24. We were told a plumber would arrive between 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Again, no show and no call. At 2:30, my husband called and it was the same excuse: "yeah our current job is taking longer than expected" and we weren't given any other expected time. Since my husband has to be at work again at 5:00 p.m. we have to try and find another time for someone else to come. Next time, it will not be this company. As a working family, we understand things don't always go as planned and some things take longer than expected, but to not even bother to CALL the people who are expecting you and say you can't make it your scheduled time is inexcusable. We try very hard to give the benefit of the doubt and value other peoples time, but we will not give our business to a company who doesn't extend the same courtesy.

I recently had to reach out for a plumber to help unclog a kitchen sink drain. I originally called ARS/Rotor Rooter to help fix my clog. I called them at 7am and they told me a plumber would be in contact with me shortly. After waiting 6 hours, I still had not heard from ARS/Rotor Rooter. I canceled the service call and decided to go with Sam The Plumber. I really wish I had called Sam The Plumber first. After calling, I had a team of plumbers at my house within an hour! They were polite, courteous, and professional. In order to clear the clog they had to pull out a professional plumbing snake machine and feed approximately 35 feet of line into my kitchen sink piping. The clog was quickly cleared!! In all I think the team was at my house for about 1/2 hour. The price of the service was reasonable to me considering the amount of work they had to do to clear the line. I would call on Sam The Plumber again if I have plumbing issues in the future.

I came down to see my aunt for the holidays and her main water line busted from being ran over . We called Sam the plumber about 11:30 PM last night. The lady who answered the phone sounded like she was sleeping but she was so helpful & sympathetic. She said it wouldn't be long and a tmplumberveould be out to fix it for us . And sure enough about 15 minutes Matt showed up she was fast friendly. To my surprise the cost for our late night oh no mishap was under 400$. Definitely a fantastic team this company had from the dispatch to respect.

Both toilets stopped working and we had a bit if sewage water backing up into our bathtub, at 5:30 on a Saturday, of course, just as we had company comimg over! My mother-in-law had previously used Sam the Plumber and had a good experience, so they were my first call. The receptionist was friendly, and called me back, as promised. Gary came out and diagnosed the issue as a break in the line, but was able to clear the blockage, so we could have working pliumbing again! Very friendly guy, and did a great job. The field service manager, Matthew, is also a really nice guy! Will totally call them again if we have further issues.

Same day service to replace a water heater that didn't take long at all to install. I called Sam the plumber and c.j answered vary politely and knew exactly what I was trying to explain.
