I wanted to expand the usable yard space of the small 60x100 lot of my McKinney home. I contracted with Lifetime Fence to move my fence to the far side of my driveway to my property line, secure my entire backyard and driveway and add an electric gate for convenience. My sales agent Benny was terrific. He was quick to schedule a visit and provided a through review of the costs of each part of my project. He is professional with a lot of experience and quickly grasped what I wanted to accomplish and provided excellent recomendations. On the day of the installation Benny met with me and the construction crew to go over the project so there were no misunderstandings about the scope of work. The two workers that built my fence and electric gate over two solid 8 hr 105 degree days did an excellent job with the installation. They were detailed and produced a quality work product and upon completion setup all the entry codes and clickers required for its function and gave me a tutorial on its operation. The materials they used are high quality including the electric opener that is commercial grade. I love the end result and would definitely use Lifetime Fence again and recommend them to others based on the positive experience I had with my project. They had many positive reviews and the photos of their projects looked great so I gave them a shot. I was very happy with their services - from the initial contact who came out to discuss the project to the build team. The end result looks perfect - great design, great quality. We paid almost $12,000 for a solar power gate opener and the solar panel keeping the batteries charged has not worked properly since day one. We are two years into them sending someone to change batteries, adjust panel, but the problem has not been solved as the batteries continue to drain and get to the point where the system alarms each time the gate is opened or closed, evenly draining the the batteries completely so the gate must be manually opened. Not what I paid for. The panel gets plenty of sun.Now their idea of customer service is to not return calls. We took it upon ourselves to call Lift Master, after our rep said he would. We did a video call with Life Master and they said it was not properly wired, but our service rep at Lifetime Fence Company -Frisco refuses to accept the advice of Lift Master. Yet he has no resolution for us except that we can hard wire it “at our expense”. They checked it out before selling it to us and if the solar power was going to be an issue it was never mentioned. This panel received over 8 hours of good sunlight all summer and the fence is hardly used, yet the batteries go dead approximately every three months.Is has been one of the worst customer service representatives I have ever dealt with. We have an extensive log of everything that has been tried, and calls made.Buyer Beware!Service: Custom fabrication

We used Lifetime Fence to install a new gate motor, chain, and pole. The sales process was easy and they were priced fairly so we decided to go with them over others we’d researched. As soon as we signed the contract, our entire experience changed. For starters, on the day of the install, we were promised a morning window, and I took off work to make sure someone was here. They didn’t show up until almost 5 PM and gave us no heads up that they were running behind schedule. Our sales guy refused to ever answer any text or phone calls, so I was just left in the dark to wonder when they would be showing up.Months have gone by and the sensors on our gate haven’t worked consistently so we have to repeatedly get out to hold them in place just so our gate will close. The entire gate structure is leaning on one pole and the chain drags on the ground when it moves. We finally decided to call them out to see if they could fix it since we have a “warranty” for the work they did. They showed up and by the time they left the gate wouldn’t close at all, and they left us in worse shape than we started. We ended up calling another gate company out, who pointed out all of the things that Lifetime did wrong during our install and luckily, they actually knew what they were doing and they were able to get it fixed within two hours. It ended up costing us more money in the long run and so the “fairly priced” quote they gave us didn’t matter in the end.You can get a new gate motor from a lot of different companies and they all sell pretty much the same brands. I would stay away from this one. The crew they send out are subcontracted so you aren’t actually working with someone who cares about the quality of work, they just want to get the job done.You’ve been warned- don’t use this company.Service: Automatic gate installation & repairs

Lifetime took down my old fence and dug up all existing poles. They cleaned everything up. They were able to set the new poles on day 1 and then once concrete was set, they came back and finished our fence in hours. We were beyond impressed. Lifetime came out and removed my old fence, put up a new fence. One thing I really liked about Lifetime Fence was that they Pre-Stain the cedar wood prior to coming to install the new fence. This way, once the fence is nailed up, It's done and don't have to wait 30 days for the staining/sealing to happen. Also, by Pre-Staining you cover every inch of the cedar wood fence including where the cedar overlaps. I enjoyed working with Eduardo, whom is very polite, and Jimmy the owner as well.Service: Wood fence installation

Finished covered arbor with shingles gets 4 1/2 stars...we love it. Miscommunication / lack of communication around our quote, timeline for completion, and gutters gets 2 1/2 stars.Pros: Finished arbor is amazing; intake meeting, concrete team/shingles-flashing team/arbor build team were great as well.Cons:1. No electricity provided/nor were electrician references provided (as requested).2. There was a slight miscommunication regarding our arbor vs. pergola quote(s). I would suggest two separate quotes are drafted going forward to alleviate any confusion.3. It took 3 weeks from the time our concrete was poured to complete the project. We were told it should be finished by the 4th of July (which would've been a week and two days from the concrete poor). There was no communication about supply delays, weather-rain delays...just unexplained delays/or "I don't knows".4. Our rear second story downspout was resized/cut and will now drain on top of our arbor. When asked if this was the final product the company said yes, gutters are not included/needed. We will have to add a bend-a-drain and downspout to the ground to avoid excessive water on top of the arbor in the future.While Heather was fantastic by helping me get some of the last open items closed for our project; I feel as if a final walk-through by a project manager would help ensure everything was completed to meet the customers expectations.

Lifetime has completed a large portion of the fence in my yard. The work is exceptional and the quality is unmatched. They use wood from Texas and not your China-cheap wood from Home Depot. The price is excellent for the quality of the work. I have had one part of my fence up for 4 years and its still in fantastic shape. The new part they just completed next to it is a perfect match of the previous one and it looks incredible. I also appreciate the professionalism from everyone i have spoken to there. Our experience from start to finish was superb. Representatives came out to our home. They measured and assessed the area where we needed fencing. They explained to us the materials that would be used and how they would proceed. They quoted a price which we felt was reasonable. In just a couple weeks they started the job and it was completed in a couple days. The fence is beautiful! Their customer service was amazing. Contacted Lifetime Fence along with a few other companies to get an estimate on doing some repair and replacement on a small section of my fence. They were able to give me an estimate within 2 days of calling and got me scheduled with a firm date for two weeks out. I can’t say whether their prices were comparable to others. When I contacted a few other companies to try to get an estimate and I described the work that needed to be done I was told because it was such a small job it could be a while before they could give me an estimate, much less actually come out and do the work and couldn’t provide me with even a tentative timeframe. I decided to not get multiple estimates based on Lifetime Fence prioritizing the work I needed done like any other of their I’m sure, much larger jobs. If I did pay a little more I consider it well worth it. The fence looks great and my HOA isn’t sending me nasty-grams.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Lifetime Fence did an outstanding job. We had an 8 ft. Fence installed and the project was completed within less than 2 days. The quality of the fence is very nice and we are super happy with what we paid for. Unfortunately, our gas line was hit as they were drilling into the ground. This situation was very unfortunate as the gas line was very old and had no way of being marked for exactly where it was. I discussed everything with Jeff and they apologized for the inconvenience and treated us fairly. They have great customer service and we worked out a fair deal.
